ikwym about sitting on a dating site for ages
it's slightly offputting
but,has he been active on it all this time or has he just re-activated it as/when etc?

lou33 · 04/01/2010 14:02

no boris only comes at weekends usually

aseriouslyblondemoment · 04/01/2010 14:10

surprised the kids haven't kidnapped him yet lol

lou33 · 04/01/2010 14:43

ha dont, ds2 has already asked me to marry the mechanic so we can have custody of boris, and when that didnt work suggested killing him so boris got left with us!

the mechanic pointed out that his ex wife or his family would then get the pooch, so ds2 said he would hunt them down too

aseriouslyblondemoment · 04/01/2010 15:16

rofl that's exactly the kind of thing my ds2 would say as well

lou33 · 04/01/2010 17:11

ugh dd1 just poured a freshly made cup of tea all over her stomach

sincitylover · 04/01/2010 17:32

omg hope she is under the cold tap!

DONTtouchMUMSfestiveJUICE · 04/01/2010 17:36

vaseline or germoline, any sort of petroleum based stuff. cover it air tight with gauze/tape. should stop blisters/scarring .

lou33 · 04/01/2010 17:39

its a bit of a difficult lace to get running water on, so i made an ice pack and offered her painkillers, and will keep an eye on it

it went through her top first so i am hoping that has avoided it being too bad

i only just got back from the hospital myself, so i would rather like her to be fine and not go out again, especially as it would mean either taking all the kids with me or waiting for the mechanic to get here to watch them

(they couldnt find any obvious reason for my bleeding at my appointment btw so i have to go back to the gp in 10 days to get the official results)

sincitylover · 04/01/2010 18:55

omg ds2 has got a sardine bone in his throat - don't think its that big but he's making a fuss!!

Monty100 · 04/01/2010 19:44

SCL - is ds ok?

Lou - how's dd?

Hi everyone.

Day off here, washing, cleaning and cooking, Didn't get to the ironing or touch upstairs. I'm not on full power though I must admit. Meh is catching here too. Have been going to bed later and later and getting up later and later. Taking ds for a haircut tomorrow so will have a little stroll in the shops too.

Wednesday will come as a shock. However, the way the weather is behaving trains might be down. YAY! It's really cold. Feel I've been off for ages.

How's it up your way Juicy, Betty Janos? Any sign of the pavements yet?

sincitylover · 04/01/2010 19:53

He has calmed down, has eaten some bread and is now playing upstairs on xbox -says it still hurts.

Lou hope your dd is OK.

Yes the snow may thwart return to work plans - was also texted today from work to tell me that no heating in my office but then a bit later to say that it was fixed.

I will be wearing many layers and will leave if the temp isn't up to scratch.

I have also just shut my neighbours front door as it has been left open for several hours - hope they didn't do it on purpose - will have to deny if they knock on my door

Its one of those damned if you damned if you don't situations.

DONTtouchMUMSfestiveJUICE · 04/01/2010 20:03

pavements . hahahahahahahahahahaha... cant even see the roads other than the motorways and main roads.

the council are ploughing but not gritting. and plow leaves a very thin layer which is just white compacted snow ice :O

Betty79 · 04/01/2010 20:21

Hi all, we can see pavements for now had more snow earlier tho and am praying it doesnt continue during the night, i do not want to have to drive in snow again when im back to work tommorow!

Didnt end up asking mrjack about pof, chickened out really well that and there wasnt really a good moment to bring it up. Anyway we had a nice time, went out to eat at an indian and then came back and he stayed again, even tho he said he wasnt going to lol

lou and scl-hope dc's are ok?!

hi to everyone else, sorry for lack of personals and tired and off to get in my warm bed early

lou33 · 04/01/2010 20:34

dd seems ok now

mechanic still not here, was meant to finish work at 6 but didnt til 7.30 and now has to drive from swindon to me, which is about 80 miles

and when he gets here he is on call in case of motorway incidents

he is desperate for the bad weather to end so work slows down a bit

lou33 · 04/01/2010 20:35

oh he just called and will be here in about 25 mins

lou33 · 04/01/2010 20:42

scl, hope ds is feeling ok now

Remotew · 04/01/2010 20:54

So are all of us going back to work hoping or dreading snow disruption? In a way I hope I can get to work, been off ages, so sooner I face the inevitable the better.

Salesman phoned today to see if we could arrange to meet up!!

I'm busy this weekend coming so may sort something out for next week. It will be on a friendship basis. I'm too jaded to rush into another flash in the pan encounter.

thesouthsbelle · 04/01/2010 21:15

lou - glad DD is ok, still keep a check on it thou & they love boris.

those of u with snow, can u send it this way please?!?! we have -3o at 9pm, but I want snow god damn it so we don't have to go to work. lol.

big waves to everyone. hope all is ok.

been to the gym, had a set to with gymboy it is final now. no more.

Monty100 · 04/01/2010 21:25

SCL and Lou - glad your dcs seem recovered.

Eve - at least he phoned eh?

Belle - hope you're ok.

Betty - Nite.

Juice - I was talking to a Glaswegian at party on Saturday, he said everyone's getting fed up of it up there. Your pics are lovely!

Boring night in front of the TV here, BUT, I was reading a thread about left over stuff from Xmas and doing an inventory I realised I have loads of fresh cream. Now it would be a terrible shame to throw that away when one has whiskey in the cupboard. Irish coffees all round here, lol lol.

thesouthsbelle · 04/01/2010 21:30

yup will be fine. just a bit down with the whole ffs single mum strong one, never asked for this and STILL get shat on days - ho hum, but not to worry, who's got dates this week anyhow? (am coming off of all sites now fully until at least the summer) - oh and did I say have deleted sailor from my phone & FB - (on account of his lack of contact & I couldn't be arsed.

Remotew · 04/01/2010 21:56

belle, you sound as downbeat as I've been the past few days . Started feeling more upbeat today, nothing to do with Salesman's call but at least he asked to see me and not my friend.

The longer you go without contact from Gymboy the easier it will get. Best to focus on you and the DC's for a while.

I'm coming down with a cold just in time to go back to dreaded work.

aseriouslyblondemoment · 04/01/2010 22:03

belle glad you managed to say your piece to him,i hope that helps you to move on
do you really think you'll last out til the summer tho without looking online?!
eve glad you're feeling brighter too!
hope all dcs are ok after today's injuries?
monty trust you

thesouthsbelle · 04/01/2010 22:08

am going to eve.

blondie - yep will do the new OU course starts end of the month (YAY!) lol.

basically said to him if he wasn't going to be on the level with me then I wasn't interested in anything he had to say. he said 'that was shitty. just forget it' haven't heard from him since. (was all done via text) didn't see him int he gym went there wasn't looking for him htou - he won't go when he knows i'll be there which is always the same time cos of the classes.

Janos · 04/01/2010 22:10

Hey everyone.

Another one dreading the return to work and the snow here is showing absolutely NO signs of receding.

Supposed to be going back tomorrow but guess what. Frozen pipe and horrible leak all over kitchen! Can't use shower, bath or bathroom sink. Fan-bloody-tastic. Washing using a jug of warm water, don't even ASK about the hair. Lets just say chip pan and leave it at that....

Plumber coming round tom morning to sort it (I hope). DS delighted because it means another day at home with me.

Belle - sorry to hear about gymboy. It's always tough when that happens.

eve - I get that downbeat feeling too around CChristmas. Rotten isn't it. Hope you feel better soon.

Monty - enjoy your Irish coffees! Yum.

Juice - is snow as bad with you as it is over in Edin? Fell knee deep into a snow drift this am when clearing my drive.
