@SCL, god I would so love to live in Primrose Hill but just live in north London - nearer Parliament Hill/Kentish Town than Primrose Hill.

Ah well, can but dream!

thesouthsbelle · 31/12/2009 09:22

oh I say we're off again, ok will mark me spot till later on when I can read it properly. am taking the boy to the pics today - oh joyous occasions. :D

lou33 · 31/12/2009 10:42

haha scl no he hasnt said anymore about hat, though he does tell me all the time how badly he has it for me

also said last night what great well adjusted kids i had

which is true i guess, as dd1 is getting a and a* at college, dd2 is doing better with the home ed now, ds1 and ds2 had glowing reports, and they are well mannered

dd1 seems to be inviting more and more people to my house for this evening though

luckily i know them all and they are also lovely kids

i guess i should get dressed and start doing my bits and pieces for the day now, things to do before the evening arrives

christmaseve · 31/12/2009 11:49

Hi everyone.

Spooky how close some of you are on this thread. SCL mothers can be so hard on daughters carn't they? Think I am guilty of this though it's because I care and love her so much. Spent all day in the nearest city clothes shopping yesterday in Arctic conditions. DD got exciting buying books in Waterstones. She did get some clothes but they are so whatever to her. I did say that I thought she would have grown out of her bookish stage but she hasn't and I wouldn't want her anyother way. Her party is cancelled, another one set up but she hasn't been invited.

Going for a meal early on with a friend, hopefully DD will join us then supposed to be meeting mates later for a night on the town. Not sure if I will atm. Still not well and getting a bit worried now.

DONTtouchMUMSfestiveJUICE · 31/12/2009 13:22

Happy New Year everyone.

Will be checking in from time time.

Betty79 · 01/01/2010 12:15

Hope everyone survived new year my little party was good kids were manic but really enjoyed themselves and didnt want eveyone to go this morning. Didnt get too drunk(well fairly drunk) and got quite a few drunken texts during the eve from mrjack which started to get more and more random by 2am lol

So come on then who got a new year snog? juice?

christmaseve · 01/01/2010 16:14

Just about survived NYE although not long been up. Took DD to work at 10 then went back to bed, no-one to wake me up.

Had a good night out. Not great just good. Bumped into Doorman in a pub. He said hello and his friend came over to chat, was making excuses for him to me so I told his friend I wasn't interested and promptly moved onto another pub. Not worth fretting over.

Hope everyone else had a good time.

lou33 · 01/01/2010 16:39

i got a snog

i also got told i was the love of his life

i reminded him of it this afternoon in case he was drunk and he still said the same thing

christmaseve · 01/01/2010 16:56

Lou

Where is everyone, still recovering, I wonder or actually enjoying new years day.

lou33 · 01/01/2010 17:02

i just woke up from an afternoon nap

hatesponge · 01/01/2010 17:10

Eve - well done re doorman, good for you not fretting over him or standing for any excuses (from him or his mate!)

Lou - but also a bit Not sure what I would have said in reply in your position!

Hope everyone else's new year was good as well!

We had a quiet one, just me and the DC. However, got a few texts from latest guy am messaging on match - we'll call this one the biker - & still have my date next week with 10 years younger guy to look forward to

hope 2010 will be good for all of us!!

Betty79 · 01/01/2010 17:13

i wish i cud have an afternoon nap early bedtime for me and kids tonight i think lol

eve- @ doorman, and how cowardly leaving his mate to make excuses for him! glad you had a good night tho despite of it.

thesouthsbelle · 01/01/2010 17:20

hey all

lou. love is in the air! lol.

glad everyone had a good one. we were in bed by 10 - well actually it was half 7 eating choc fingers & watching pirates in my bed lol.

spoken to gymboy today. he's back on tuesday seeing him tuesay night not going to be talking between now & then - my choice. he's now saying he wants to go home and is looking for work there - any work basically. says it may take a year may take 2 or 3. i've said fair enough but you're choosing to walk away from a relationship i'm choosing to walk away form a friendship. He asked if he could ring me later. I told him i'd talk to him on tuesday.

happy fucking new year eh!

thesouthsbelle · 01/01/2010 17:21

(oh and I know he's not been on any dating sites at all, as he wants/ed to see how things go with us!?!)

Betty79 · 01/01/2010 17:24

Oh belle what is he playing at!
