There is always something good round the corner.... that good thing might be for another person. Having an open plan (with no corners) arrangement sounds so much easier.....

I occasionally work with lawyers. I cannot imagine some of them in a relationship. In court they appear so cold. I can't even imagine some of them socializing.

Solve the problem. Block the people who you know are not your type. You can unblock after a week or 2. The temptation to open mail from someone is always there. For something to happen, there should be a desire at the very start. If the desire is replaced with anything negative, then the chance of success is low to none.

SCL - before i deleted i blocked a few contacts just from repeatedly sending me same initial message several times. they were just not my type. ok in RL i might have chatted to be nice when they started conversation. but it's a dating site. so obviously i'm not going to respond if i'm not interested in that way.so i dont understand why they get so upset.

Samename2 and I are still trying to fix a date. Asked him if he wanted to stop trying to arrange something but we are still texting each other suggesting dates. Unfortunately I am not now free til Friday week.

Feeling more optimistic today about everything amazing what a bit of sun and cycling into work can do.

i told him "mate, if she hasnt replied by the 2nd one at most, she isnt interested, so leave it there and stop contacting her"

he said he was put out that she hadnt replied

i just told him it was his poor bruised ego and to get over it, you cant make people want to get to know you, at which point he said but she seemed nice, and i laughed and said he knew bugger all about her apart from her pic and profile, so to stop being silly

he grudgingly agreed i was right
