its just a thought which has been pondered upon by a few of us on here
as Lou 33 said if she knew the answer then she wouldn't be on MN

aseriouslyblondemoment · 10/02/2009 20:04

on his profile it listed one of his three most precious things as 'his factory'
had to stop myself asking
'who the hell are you then Willy Wonka?'

OP posts:
elmoandella · 10/02/2009 20:07

lol. i'm shattered. i popped online and talked to banker for a wee 5 mins earlier. managed to avoid any mention of meeting thankfully.

i'm shattered though. might dive off to bed early today.

aseriouslyblondemoment · 10/02/2009 20:21

hasn't he tried to arrange anything else tonight?

OP posts:
lou33 · 10/02/2009 20:24

elmoandella · 10/02/2009 20:24

elmoandella · 10/02/2009 20:24

oh and i emailed diver to see how he was getting on. but it takes him days and days to reply

aseriouslyblondemoment · 10/02/2009 20:27

lol Lou
thought it was only SCL who had the same name issue!
you are curious about diverdude aren't you?

OP posts:
elmoandella · 10/02/2009 20:34

i like the way there's no pressure with him. but i suppose that could change when he's on land.

aseriouslyblondemoment · 10/02/2009 20:43

is this only a short term contract with him then?
even im intrigued by this man now..

OP posts:
elmoandella · 10/02/2009 20:48

he's the boss. it's his boat. he's captain i should say. they go out when the weathers good and keep catching for as many days as they can. which can be a couple or up to 10days. then how long they are inland depends on how much money they made on their last trip out.

he never really knows when he'll be back and how long he'll be back for.

his crew are hoping to be back in for this wkd. if they come back too eary this week they wont have made much money. but if they stay out longer one of the crew is gettin thrown out by his gf for missing valentines lol.

N1 · 10/02/2009 20:50

Does his factory produce surprises or prises?

aseriouslyblondemoment · 10/02/2009 20:55

the mind boggles eh?
unless he models himself on Tony Gordon lol!
where does he go fishing?

OP posts:
elmoandella · 10/02/2009 20:57

oh and he doesn't get mobile reception(i have this number). so gave me the boats number(the one i spoke to him on the other night)...which i'm not calling as they'll be several men in ear shot. and he wont be calling me for the same reason.and the laptop has limited internet access and is almost up for the month. and all of the men have to use it for communication.

lol

it's quite complicated really.

but makes the "courtship" more old fashioned as there's no modern technology.

do you remeber your first dating experience before the days of mobiles. where you used to have to call the persons house. and often they wouldn't catch you. you would have to leave a message and you would nervously wait till there was no family members around to eavesdrop and you would call them.....only for them to be out too.

lol... and diver has my house number. not my mobile. lol

aseriouslyblondemoment · 10/02/2009 20:59

ooh yes!
but was it really any easier then?

OP posts:
elmoandella · 10/02/2009 20:59

he's fishing up round mullaig and sky and then outwards this time.

lol.....but i'll probably change my mind and detest the situation tomorrow

elmoandella · 10/02/2009 21:00

it was easier as you didn't keep checking your phone worked.

aseriouslyblondemoment · 10/02/2009 21:04

how lovely!
bet he's having a wee dram or too as we speak.
it is a very hard way to make a living but does sound quite romantic i guess

OP posts:
elmoandella · 10/02/2009 21:06

i think it would be very hard to be in a relationship with a fella in this line of work. nothing could be planned....ever?

Remotew · 10/02/2009 21:06

Well, I remember when there was no answer machines or 1471 so if a new man said he would ring you had to stay in all night to even know if you could ignore them. Wonder what they did before Alexander Graham Bell.

The balcony scene!

elmoandella · 10/02/2009 21:07

i dont use 1471 anyway. or have an answer machine

aseriouslyblondemoment · 10/02/2009 21:07

oh yes back to those lovely old mobiles lol!
