Hello All

Im peter, 27 years old from london, I have two children, My son is 5 and my daughter is 4, I use to be a single parent untill my children went back to there mums but i still have plenty of contact with my children, Im here on mumsnet because i would really like to chat to other parents, None of my mates have children so when ever i tell them what ive been upto with them there not really interested, I sometimes feel abit isolated so it would be great to chat to some other parents, My aunt said that i should try a parenting website but she also said that she doubts very much that anyone would want to chat to me because im a guy,
Im just looking for someone that i can chat to about stuff in general and being a parent, I hope nobody minds me being here and if anyone would like to chat then please feel free to send me a message.

Welcome to Mumsnet. There are lots of dads on here. try looking in the Men's Room.

ShinyHappyPeopleHoldingHands · 30/09/2007 23:03

Hiya Peter

Lots of guys here (although I am not one of them it's true!) so we're quite used dads, single and otherwise, despite being mumsnet!

Welcome

BecauseImWorthIt · 30/09/2007 23:06

Hello and welcome!

Best advice is to spend some time reading various threads on the board. Read some of the parenting threads as well as the chat threads - the latter can get fairly heated sometimes whereas the former will really show you how much wisdom and care there is here.

Lots of support to be had, as well as lots of fun!

Enjoy.

Evening Innovation. Welcome to the Hotel California of the worldwideweb.

Welcome to mumsnet

BecauseImWorthIt · 30/09/2007 23:26

It's definitely worth clicking onto active conversations - that will give you the best feel for what's going on during the day/evening. Be prepared - things move very quickly - and you may find that it takes you a good hour before you get to the end of the 60 active conversations!

singledadofthree · 30/09/2007 23:27

some of the best times can be had when fuelled with a drop of pmt . and you can only be strung up in a figurative fashion from this distance...erm - hello aitch

Innovation · 30/09/2007 23:29

I had a look in active conversations and mine seems to be one of the most popular at the moment so thought i might aswell stay here, lol
