Ok done it. Well, that was a waste of time - only 7 matches and you can't see photos unless you subscribe. What a swizz!

Not a good start.

JustForThisOne · 01/02/2011 23:07

cant get past page 1, it says I dont match my post code Confused

persephonesnape · 01/02/2011 23:09

just got a message from a young, relatively hot guy on OKC. 0% match, 0% friend, lists his interests as casual sex. i can hear my standards slipping. They're making a creaking noise.

Flame · 02/02/2011 09:29

Amazing interest!!!

I walked back from school as car dropped in for MOT work. 45 min walk has brightened my mood. Now need to work out exercise I can do cheaply, that I won't get bored with within 2 days

lou33 · 02/02/2011 09:32

when i tried signing up to eharmony, i filled in about a million questions, only to be told at the end i couldnt join as i was not divorced, only separated

i am sure i heard somewhere that eharmony is associated with some religious thingy

oh and btw the launderette did a fab job on the stuff i gave them, it was ready a couple of hours after i handed it over, and it came back all beautifully folded and crease free

one bin bag came to £12.20

BeauticianNotMagician · 02/02/2011 09:48

Sorry eharmony didn't work out for some of you.

Cuba you get 7 matches at a time so will probably get 7 more today.

Flame How about going on ebay and buying a few different dvds.I alternate mine as i do get bored.I have Hannah watermans,Clare from steps,Nadia Sawalhas,Janice from corrie, rosemary conely and quite a few davina ones.Or is there not a leisure centre near you. They often do classes for a few pound.

tookoolforskool · 02/02/2011 11:39

30 day shred is REALLY good. i love it. Did it in dec. have spent most of jan eating cheese and other lovely things. need to get back into it. AM STARTING MONDAY!!! can you all remind me and give me a kick up the arse???
am going to go with 3 times a week though rather than everyday as thats not really substainable ( for me anyway)

talking to a couple of maybe interesting people on pof. Shant give them names yet.. but we shall see.
Will def have 2 dates organised by my next childfree weekend which is 18th feb.

I also hate my new hair. Ive booked friday off work as i need to go get some new make up or something. Its really really dark. Everyone keeps telling me how nice its looks. but i just feel a bit poo about it.

tookoolforskool · 02/02/2011 11:40

and snape.. its a slippery slope.... lol.
before you know it you will be chatting to disembodied torsos.
lol

lou33 · 02/02/2011 14:37

Whats the 30 day shred?

elastamum · 02/02/2011 14:54

Hi All, Well i have a date for Sun with the Prof and i hav just signed up on match as Sailor2 reckoned it had more people on it than most sites. So we will see what happens!

Flame · 02/02/2011 15:01

Love Sailor2 - kinda like Andy3 (Download):o Woohoo for dates

I will try and sort out getting the shred - seemed the most popular choice on my fb too.

Have looked up bus for school pick up Wink. Slept for 1 1/2 hrs this afternoon so exercise not all good Blush

CubaCat · 02/02/2011 17:08

TooKool I have the 30 Day Shred dvd too. Did it twice, two days running, then I went back to my lazy ways struggled to find time to do it. Maybe the trick is to think the same as you, and aim for 3 times per week rather than daily. I think that's more achievable.

BeauticianNotMagician · 02/02/2011 17:44

I have just ordered the shred as i want to see if it really works thats if i can actually manage to do it.What weights do i need?

Flame · 02/02/2011 17:58

Fabulous.

Car costing about 3x more than I have.

ninah · 02/02/2011 18:11

I dread MOTs too flame, last time mine did not get through.
its true there were lots of qs about religion on eharmony. maybe it's becos I is atheist? Grin

BeauticianNotMagician · 02/02/2011 18:15

I can't remember there being lots of questions about religion on eharmony.I'm not religious at all and neither is DG.I found it good and will always be greatful that i joined otherwise i wouldn't have met DG.I was on other sites but he wasn't.

Wysiwig · 02/02/2011 18:55

Hi Guys..

Can you tell me how to get on to the site you all seem to be referring to? I mean the one on here..if there is one Confused

persephonesnape · 02/02/2011 19:09

every time i ever think about having sex again, i will think of Gordon Brown and ann widdecombe. I am contemplating a very very very very long hiatus.

Zanywany · 02/02/2011 19:12

Ahhh just lost a bit post.

Basically was saying I am finding this 'dating' thing a bit soul destroying at the mo. Either the guy is too keen and there is no spark or potential guys chat loads on email and then I don't hear anything for days. Alot of my friends are either loved up or my single friends never want to go out and I work with only a handful of guys, all married. Getting fed up with it all [fed up emotion]

tookoolforskool · 02/02/2011 19:23

zany - i think we all feel a bit like than now and again.
It can be a bit soul destroying. I dont know what it is really that makes it so difficult? the fact that we are all over 21? so naturally dont go out as much and dont have such a wide social circle or chances to meet people.
Or - we are older and settled and know what we want and less likely to comprimise that
Or - this whole 'date' thing, its quite new in the uk really isnt it. Most people used to just meet, then snog, then they were together.. it all sometimes feels too 'structured and pressured'/ or at least i think so.
if you want a break from it, have a break...?/

snape - lol. that is not a good thing to be thinking...

beautiful- it does work. i lost 12.5 inches in dec in 3 weeks. i worked fucking hard though. my friend who was thin to start with, still lost 8.5 inches in 3 weeks. its literally amazing.

mr big called me. Bear i told him i was busy and he said he will call back after 7.

tookoolforskool · 02/02/2011 19:37

and my godness me. I have just been messaged and chatting to the most beautiful man.
I may have gone weak at the knees.
Messy mid lenght dark hair ( none of your blondness stardust), lots of stubble and is an art/photography teacher no less.
And he loves rum.
its my perfect match.
hes told me i can call him Mr Walker. So i shall.

i might actually be blushing.
hes 27.

lol.

BeauticianNotMagician · 02/02/2011 19:55

Took 'beautiful' haha think i prefer that name.

Ooh new man sounds good.Well done at telling Mr Big he can wait.

I am so pleased to have the ds's back tonight.I really missed them.Shame i didn't actually get to go out whilst they were with their dad.I wonder if he will ever have them overnight at the weekends when i move.

squareheadcut · 02/02/2011 19:56

so what is the 30 day shred like ? do i have to buy equipment - weights?

squareheadcut · 02/02/2011 19:58

zany - i feel like that about the whole dating thing, i gave up in the end (still single)

elastamum · 02/02/2011 20:14

Hi All,

Am also feeling a bit down at the moment - maybe its the time of the year. Have 2 men I ought to call tonight and I just dont feel like it.

Am packing for the kids to go skiing with ex and his new wife - have to sort out all their gear so they have got the right stuff as I know he wont sort it out. Have even bought sun cream, snack bars, sunglasses, new gloves etc etc so I know everything fits and they wont be cold. Wont get any thanks though - just a bag of dirty kit back in 2 weeks time.

and my car has broken down again so has to go back in the garage tommorrow Sad
