Yup country walk and pub vote here too

SmileyMily · 10/02/2011 00:00

oops, flame, xpost didn't see you there, faffing about posting myself

how about you suggest to him starting over with a proper date (prob not monday though...) and see if you actually like each other? Sounds like it could be worth the effort?

SmileyMily · 10/02/2011 00:01

and now I am going Grin

SmileyMily · 10/02/2011 00:02

god flame, sorry, that all sounded really pompous Blush, what do I know? Am soo not expert

BrainOrArse · 10/02/2011 00:02

Might do. Will chat to him tomorrow.

We had these great plans for a midnight picnic as a date which I am still a bit miffed we didn't do because I went nuts and cocked it up.

SmileyMily · 10/02/2011 00:02

nn

BrainOrArse · 10/02/2011 00:03

We do like each other - the fact that we talk every night shows that tbh. Couldn't tell you what we talk about though Hmm

Monty27 · 10/02/2011 00:04

Mily - oh glad to hear dd is brighter :) nn x

Elasta - I've done my mum's stuff, feeling your pain.

As for date I would do the walk and pub lunch near mine too :)

But then wild horses wouldn't drag me on an all day hike Grin

elastamum · 10/02/2011 00:11

Thanks all, walk and pub it is, though he lives about 1 1/2 hours away so expect it might be the last time he comes up this way! Must resist the temptation to rip his clothes off invite him in for coffee Grin

Flame, a midnight picnic - you're much more exciting than me

BrainOrArse · 10/02/2011 00:20

Lol it was his idea. I can't remember why

NowhereToHideInTheDark · 10/02/2011 00:26

Me again, seeing as the Arse is now properly out of the equation. (Amazing what a feeling of relief that is tbh)

Hatesponge · 10/02/2011 01:00

elasta, i agree with the walk and pub suggestion too...great minds think alike and all that! hope it goes well.

the midnight picnic idea sounds fab by the way BoA.

must away to bed now, I told myself I would be in bed asleep by midnight tonight. oh well :)

aurorastargazer · 10/02/2011 08:12

place marking again Blush

NowhereToHideInTheDark · 10/02/2011 08:56

I am soooo tired today. Couldn't sleep for ages last night.

The midnight picnic was one of those early conversations :). But yes, we screwed it up, he wants the hot ex, I have this Brackets thing to see through....

SmileyMily · 10/02/2011 09:08

so, not asleep until gone 1....then dd2 in at 3.30.....raging temp, v restless, only wanted to be cuddled Sad

so, we are ensconced on the sofa with Bob and Peppa and me trying to get some work done, can't send her off to my friend's with temp etc. Possibley can take her over there for the afternoon, we shall see. Feeling rough myself at this point, not sure if just tiredness or sickening myself

aurorastargazer · 10/02/2011 09:24

gawd that took a long time to catch up, must try more often lol i have awful feeling that i've forgotten a lot of what was posted so i apologise in advance Grin

elasta - it's not a nice thing to have to do, clearing your mom's house. i'm glad you foudn the cards that she'd kept.

smiley - hope you feel better soon

beaut - thanks, was missing dp and kept overthinking. managed to sort things out though. how are you?

had hsoue viewing yesterday. phoned agents to let them know i liked the house but no-one's answering yet. arrrrggggghhhhhh
am nervous cos i would be moving nearer dp, me and dd would be livign just round the corner, am starting to overthink again i think Grin

BeauticianNotMagician · 10/02/2011 10:16

Hi All

Lou Yay for the new washing machine sounds like a good one too.

Elasta Sorry that you are having such a tough week.Sending hugs your way.Perhapsa planning something nice to do when the dcs get back will help.Hope you have a great date with prof.

Mily I hope DD2 is feeling better.Although i haven't posted in a while i keep looking for sparkly jewlerry updates.

Aurora I am the queen of overthinking.Living near dp is a good thing for you though isn't it?

No more aches on the shred and i actually quite look forward to it.Guess its time to move up to level 2.

I'm not seeing DG now on valentines day as i can't get a babysitter. It seems to be getting more and more difficult to see one another.Although he keeps talking about marriage and has said he really wants to spend his life with me Grin. So probably won't see each other now until the 19th

aurorastargazer · 10/02/2011 16:16

hi bnm - yes it would be but i'm feeling abit like a scaredy-cat Grin

what is this shred thing????

sincitylover · 10/02/2011 20:43

sponge - have a builder that might be OK - its ds2 best friends dad - I'll send details via facebook.

We also used builders from your area when we had loft extension done in 2001 in our mh (so gutted we couldn't stay there) - I need to try and remember their name - I can't remember it off the top of my head but they were OK - did a basic loft extension really well. (They wouldnt do any fancy stuff though).

Hatesponge · 10/02/2011 21:51

scl thank you so much! not sure if the stuff that needs doing is that fancy, its just a million and one half finished jobs that the ex never completed (and I will never manage to do)....

just to give you a flavour :)

14 (!) internal doors to be put up
all tiling to one bathroom, bits and pieces in the other (ex got bored Hmm)
lots and lots of plumbing type stuff, including moving a load of pipes so floorboards can be replaced in one room
couple of cupboards to be built/completed

the actual list is a lot longer but this will give you an idea. When people see the house they generally say oh wont it be lovely when its finished. Which is better than one friend who said she couldn't bear living in a glorified building site....she hasn't been back since Grin

Is anyone watching Marchlands? (ITV now) Am finding all the back and forth in time periods v confusing, possibly as not giving it my undivided attention!

Hatesponge · 10/02/2011 21:55

The door thing...lots of rooms have more than one door. Ex's idea. There are no doors at present, as Ex thought it simpler to take them all off about 7 years ago, and then have them all put back in one go. Or not.

adamschic · 10/02/2011 22:16

Will catch up tomorrow, place marking. I'm off work so am drinking red wine tonight. Got 4 days off work to sit around and twiddle my thumbs trying to keep off the cigs aswell. Need to go on a run as I ate the biggest profiterole sunday you can imagine tonight. Grin

adamschic · 10/02/2011 22:17

'Sundae' not bloody 'Sunday'

lilacisinlove · 10/02/2011 22:29

Isn't that a song, eve?!

OP posts:
adamschic · 10/02/2011 22:32
