Hi everyone.

Oh blimey at Bloody Sunday.

Sponge - Your house will get there. Hve messaged you. :)

adamschic · 10/02/2011 22:45

It was the yummiest thing I have tasted for a while. I'm not a pudding person, normally. It's from Morrisons and is in a sundae shaped plastic tall dish, costs just over a quid. Profiterole Sundae. Highly recommended.

morning

can't believe how hot and restless one small DD can be. Uo si many times in the night I lost count. Thank goodness my parents are here now to help today since no way my friday CM would have taken DD2 with temp still up. And DD2 will be so much happier pottering about at home rather than being out and about with CM (who is lovely but always v busy). At least nanny sounds on the mend so should be ok for next week.

Sponge, I can totally sympathise with state of your house - my xh used not to go near DIY as a rule since he hated it but when he did, he used to get halfway through and get bored, would drive me demented! That is a lorra lorra doors tho Grin

TGI Friday is all I can say, this has felt liek a very long week. TLM back this afternoon with his dd so we are really looking forward to that. There may well be Wine taken Grin

have a great day everyone

SmileyMily · 11/02/2011 08:55

SmileyMily · 11/02/2011 08:57

how cute is this? I can hear my mum playing the piano and DD2 singing along. DD2 just asked for bob the builder, which my DM wouldn't know the tune of if her life depended on it......so she is just playing random stuff and they are both chorusing 'bob the builder, bob the builder' over and over Grin

Zanywany · 11/02/2011 12:11

Just placemarking.

Hi everyone

persephonesnape · 11/02/2011 12:36

There is a lovely man on the morning commute. Dark bob smith hair, stubbly. :) I race down the stairs and try and stand near him in case the train is very crowded and we get all sqoooshed up together. The other day a woman pushed in front of me and got the last seat, directly opposite him. I got the 2nd last seat this morning and he was thwarted in sitting near me by the same woman! She is my new nemesis. Angry I sneaked sneaky looks at him, when we went through tunnels by checking his reflection in the window. For I am stealth! We shall clearly call him 'train man'. And start to make enough of an effort in the mornings to brush my hair and possibly even go to the lengths of make up.

elastamum · 11/02/2011 14:06

Snape how exciting!!

Have fixed lunch date with global warming tommorrow, he is coming up, will take a stroll in the park near us then really nice lunch in fab pub. Just far enough from home so I dont have to take him there unless I want to Grin

Zanywany · 11/02/2011 14:12

I have date no 2 tomorrow with smiling man, he seems lovely (and was a pretty good kisser Grin) but I don't feel as enthusiastic as I possibly should be. I am seeing my man of my dreams neighbour on Sunday, unfortunately he is back with his ex girlfriend.

Persephoe sharpem your elbows to move her out the way next time. lol

tookoolforskool · 11/02/2011 14:30

snape. glare at her hard. then make sure you are squashed right up to him, even if there is noone else on the train.

zany - hope it goes ok.

elasta- sounds like it will be really nice :)

well. today may have reached a new dating low.
Am used to the usual sex messages, but this one has rendered me speachless ( which, is no mean feat) it said
' hi, can i ask you if you are a transexual'

lovely.

dear god.... lol. Seriously. lol
im not sure if i should laugh, or be mortally offended.

Zanywany · 11/02/2011 15:47

I would laugh it off Tookool as it sounds like the sort of message idiots send out to loads of people whatever they look like.

ninah · 11/02/2011 17:57

tookool, just laugh
you know the sites are full of nutters. Right?
busy week here, work manic, dealt with a febrile convulsion this afternoon which was quite upsetting.
good news is I have an interview next week, which would get me onto a teaching course. Although I love it, the pay for what I do now is lousy. Have decided this is my last attempt, and otherwise, now the children are getting older I'll look around for something else.
on the man front, nada.
sponge. Nag! Grin

persephonesnape · 11/02/2011 19:13

hahah at mental image of train man smooshed up in a corner and a practically empty train...iactually felt a little glum this morning because he wasn't there when i got there, the first train was packed, so i gottehone five minutes after and he was standing behind me on the platform. i could see his checked shirt out of the corner of my eye. no wedding band (finally checked that today!) of course i am too low in self esteem to even look him in the eye. roll on monday!

lovely male platonic friend on his way round for dinner tonight. he has a new nickname for me. it is 'monkey boy' Hmm doesn't really speak of untold passion, does it...? well, at least it isn't 'bucket fud'

tookool, you are in NO way a transexual. that is surely a generic pisser-offer or a cheeky openinglinethat may work occasionally....with transexuals.

persephonesnape · 11/02/2011 19:18

typing gone to shit. apologies, you get my jist.

lou33 · 12/02/2011 10:57

morning everyone

the only thing i have to report is that i actually won my dla appeal against them reducing ds2's personal care allowance from higher to middle rate

so now they are going to keep it at the higher rate

oh and my house smells lovely, from the laundry drying all about the place, thanks to the super duper washer the dp bought Grin

six loads done so far, still a few to go though

but this morning i have been quite productive

since dropping dd1 to work for 8 am i have fed animals and children, done 2 loads of laundry, washed up and got some bread rising

ironing and hoovering to come

what a rock and roll life i lead Grin

BeauticianNotMagician · 12/02/2011 11:15

Hi all

Snape Wow your updates read like a romantic novel. So exciting.I look forward to further updates re train man.

Lou Pleased you got the higher rate for ds2 can't believe they wanted to reduce it in the first place.

My life is equally as rock and roll.Except i got most of my housework done yesterday.

adamschic · 12/02/2011 12:25

Rock n Roll lifestyle here too. Last night went for a walk/run, found out I cannot run for very long, not a problem with my lungs but my legs! Was out for only an hour then came back to make a salad for tea and another night in front of the telly.

Nothing on man front, Asda guy is still in touch but hasn't actually mentioned taking me out somewhere that grabs my attention and tbh I feel less than enthusiatic. Still get cravings when I think about the D2D salesman but never heard anything back. Had a drink with a friend who lives along my street. Made him rummage through all his papers as he said same guy called on him and gave him a number to ring on a card. Turned out he'd written it on my friends business card so I'm non the wiser. He did say what a nice guy he was.

persephonesnape · 12/02/2011 13:10

lou! well done for winning DLA appeal - This is brilliant news! :)

hah at 'romantic novel' their eyes met across the crowded 7.49 to Victoria, 'excuse me' he murmurmed, 'would you like the last seat? on my lap?' Blush in reality nippy woman would push past us both and i'd show my not-quite-so-nice side by tripping her over.

need a nickname for best-male-platonic-friend-i-hold-a-huge-unrequited-torch for. :) 'aphex' will do as it's not one i usually call him. we had a lovely evening - curry, beers, vodka, sitting upstairs once the kids had gone to bed, cross legged with our knees touching...he always smells so nice mmmmmmmm.... :) he might be having an operation later in the year and was worried because he'll need recovery time and has 'no significant other to check on me', I replied that of course he does, so i'll be dropping him off at hospital, picking him up and giving him a bed bath looking after him for a few days. he's back tonight i think...i'm very aware this would need to stop if i met someone and i hate the thought of not being as close to him as i am now. Sad

lou33 · 12/02/2011 13:42

Thank you. I am really pleased.

Bread is ready now, and i have washed another load plus hoovered. Gonna take a break for a bit before the lunch time washing-up beckons followed by the ironing.

I could do with a maid/houseboy

aurorastargazer · 12/02/2011 17:23

am so pleased for you lou Smile

feeling bit low today againSad

elastamum · 12/02/2011 19:34

Hi Rock chicks! Grin

Well I have just got back from fab date with mr Global warming aka prof. Went for walk in beautiful park where we got hopelessly lost until I gave him the map - he has a Phd in geography Blush then off to the pub for lovely lunch where we chatted for a couple of hours - followed by tea at mine.

Then he gave me a kiss and a hug and left, saying he would be back up in a couple of weeks and could we go out again - it was lovely - he seems really easy to get on with and we both seem to like the same stuff so you never know - if it wasnt for the distance it might even go somewhere Smile

am now going to cook myslef some tea and have a nice long bath as it is my last day before my boys come home from 1/2 term with dad

aurorastargazer · 12/02/2011 20:31

ahh that sounds as though it went well elasta, am so pleased for youSmile
how far isit between you? absence makes the heart grow fonder....

NowhereToHideInTheDark · 12/02/2011 21:47

Hoping to catch up in the morning.

Far too much wine with Brackets. "It" def isn't there. Alas hormones won though Blush So now I have to be evil and say I don't want to see him anymore and he will take it as one caused the other!

Talking to smurf on POF who is nice.

Mattarse is on his way over HmmConfused Think he is just low and wanting company. Dunno.

Carrot wanted to come round too. WTF is it with me tonight?!!? Normally no company, the one night I fancy curling up and ignoring the world, they all bloody want me!
