grr i had hoped to meet up with someone tomorrow when my ex had the kids (we meet twice a month for the day half way which means i have a boring day in a strange city so i thought I'd maxamise my rare child free time) and my ex has just emailed me to say he can't manage tomorrow. Though this is advance notice and he did apologise :-)

I got the job!!!!!!!

It got to lunchtime today and no news, so I rang them. The admin lady said the head had been in back to back meetings but would see if she could be disturbed, then the dep head came on the phone and I was standing by a main road on my mobile and I wasn't certain, but I thought she said they wanted to offer me the job. Didn't want to look like a prat accepting a job I hadn't been offered, so I had to ask her to repeat it and yes, I had heard her correctly.

I've never left a school mid-year before but if the right opportunity comes up at the wrong time, that's just the way it will have to be.

And the day got even better, for I was in town for a meeting this afternoon and met nameless guy for a drink afterwards and I am very hopeful it leads to something (this was second date!) Date 3 tomorrow, pub lunch by the river. We haven't even had a proper snog yet, think I will have to throw myself at him tomorrow. If I don't, I can't really ask him to come over to mine the following weekend and stay over

Have just got back from a date with a man who was tall, dark, handsome and just incredibly dull!!!!!! Now I can hold a conversation with just about anyone - but this guy was about the hardest work I have ever had. 2 drinks and I couldnt wait to leave. wont be going back.

Still, have date with doc tomorrow> I know that wont be dull, a trifle risque maybe as he is now out of his cast and still sending me v flirty txts, but at least he is fun

before I did the whole outpouring I asked him to remind me why we're on the friends thing again - the reply came back that just friends meant no arguing or emotions to deal with . When I asked about how he felt about me dating he said I had to do what I felt would make me happy. Nice and evasive there!

Not heard back from outpouring, but it was sent half an hour after his last one, and he tends to do early night on a Friday before Bristol so prob gone to bed. :(
