Kicking this off.

Hi BeautnotMag, 3rd date sounding promising and can see you are keeping your options open.

OP posts:
lou33 · 09/10/2010 19:28

i try my best to please :)

BeauticianNotMagician · 09/10/2010 19:31

Lou Oh no hope your friend is alright. Is she still in hospital?I have to say that tonsilitis is the one illness that completely wipes me out.I always lose a good half a stone to a stone whilst i have it to.Hope you feel better soon.

You do make me laugh.Love your posts.

StrawberryFruitBat · 09/10/2010 20:03

Oh no for your mate!

Have had a film quote text from Carrot :)

lilac21 · 09/10/2010 20:16

Hello all, back from Crewe - what a fab hotel! Crewe Hall if you want to google it and take off your hot new boyfriend for a dirty weekend...

Lou, hope you're soon better, and little strawberry too.

Sounds like there is a lot going on, I've read the last three pages and am now struggling to remember what is happening and to whom...I will admit to getting slightly distracted by getting texts from THREE different guys in the ten minutes it took to catch up Grin

I almost got myself a date for tonight, but he didn't hear from me this afternoon and made tentative plans and then didn't want to let his pals down, fair enough. I was in a pub in the west end with a load of my online friends from the Harcombe diet club, and Zoe herself, and wasn't going to sit there texting and being rude.

No matter though, since I am meeting two guys tomorrow - cyclist is busy, but I have the date with dancer in the afternoon. Also, another one I haven't named yet but have chatted to periodically over the last few weeks while he's been away on business has come home and is keen to meet, so coffee with him in the morning :)

Strawbs, nothing wrong with young 'uns, I agree...I am 42 and I had an offer from a 25yo earlier - I did turn him down, though!

BNM, stop over analysing and enjoy DG, please.

kdk, agree with you re OK Cupid - only two decent blokes on there and they both had London as their location and turned out to mean the tip of Kent that barely qualifies as London. Lots of foreigners keen to meet me too.

lou33 · 09/10/2010 20:19

last night she said she was really ill with it and had anti biotics, but had blood and pus oozing from them

this afternoon she sent me a text to say she had been admitted to hospital, but of course i cant visit her cos i am not well myself

dd1 had her tonsils taken out when she was 15, she got it so often

throat infections are the one thing that floor me, i am pathetic with them

dd2 is on the mend now, one tonsil looks ok now, but she is only 3 days into a 10 day course of anti biotics herself

dd1 just sounds like an old tramp smoking 50 capstan full strength every day

she isnt allowed abck to her weekend job until the cough has gone, obviously because noone wants someone coughing and spluttering over them when buying their food

i dont know if i am ill from my flu jab or because i have a bit of both from the girls, but i do always seem to get something like this when they jab me

lou33 · 09/10/2010 20:23

i have no issue with younger men either, but you all know that lol

what about calling him espresso, seeing as you are meeting for coffee?

StrawberryFruitBat · 09/10/2010 20:37

XH had tonsilitis as a speciality. Finally got them taken out 18 months ago.

Love how many men you have on the go lilac!

I've found the option to filter people on OKC now.

lilac21 · 09/10/2010 20:38

Thanks for the suggestion, lou, but I don't actually drink coffee so I might forget that one! After tomorrow I will report back and if we decide to have a second date we will give him a name!

lilac21 · 09/10/2010 20:40

Over 700 views since I joined Lovestruck just over 3 weeks ago...and there was a period in that time when kiwi toyboy was around and I hid my profile completely.

I'm a tart Grin

Well, I might be except that I've only met one of them so far...

StrawberryFruitBat · 09/10/2010 20:47

Got all excited and wandered off to find lovestruck then realised its a London one

StrawberryFruitBat · 09/10/2010 20:47
lou33 · 09/10/2010 20:49

i dont drink coffee either

lilac21 · 09/10/2010 20:49

For anyone that is interested, code LOVELDN upgrades you from bog-standard paid member to elite member on Lovestruck. Of course, I only saw that ad on the tube AFTER I joined.

StrawberryFruitBat · 09/10/2010 20:51

weird cross over there!!

BeauticianNotMagician · 09/10/2010 21:31

Lilac Glad you had a good time in Crewe.Texts from 3 men at a time. What is your secret??Lol at two dates tomorrow you go girl.

Lou My gp wants me to have my tonsils taken out but where he thinks i will find the childcare to go into hospital is anyones guess. My sister had it done and had a few complications.

Gah one of my mates just found out her newish boyfriend is cheating on her.I'm so rubbish in these situations and don't really know what to say.

kdk · 09/10/2010 21:40

Hi all - hope you're all having a good Saturday night - and that you feel better soon Lou.

Lilac - what do you reckon to lovestruck? Is it worth the money. I'm reluctant to pay out any money to get messages from a bunch of knobs/nutters/guys who don't get that because of the kids I can't do spontaneous dates ...

lilac21 · 09/10/2010 22:01

I'm still chatting to the guy I almost met this evening! Haven't told him I'm meeting two others tomorrow...

I have been on MSF and OK Cupid and for me, Lovestruck is definitely worth the money. I'm 42 with two kids and there has been plenty of interest. You can say you're free that night and it generates lots of interest.

kdk · 09/10/2010 22:12

Not sure if it will work for me - tend to arrange dates if and when I've come across someone I'm inspired to meet rather than the other way round (xh isn't around to have kids for nights so rely on my mum for adhoc babysitting).

lilac21 · 09/10/2010 22:57

Having 'free tonight' on your profile generates a lot of interest - it doesn't have to be true! You can get chatting to someone and meet them another night.

mummyilubyou · 10/10/2010 10:58

Morning

Sorry you have had a rough weekend with your throat Lou

Strawb, glad dd2 on the mend

Lilac, Crewe sounds good, and I can't say that's a sentance I would expect to utter often

BNM, hols next May sounds Shock

Elasta, hope things with your mum ok

Soooooo

Would be fair to say RAF has well and truly grown on me

Spent Fri eve snogging on the sofa like teenagers and chatting through loads of stuff

Then Sat I dropped the dds off with ILs and went over to RAF's and had a great time:
Walked the mad springer through the woods
Had a beautiful dinner cooked for me
Had.......amazing time in bed Blush

Am smitten

Paying for it now as house dreadful when I got bck, dd2 soaked bed because f'wit xh didn't put nappy on her; mud all over kitchen floor etc etc

But worth itGrin

EnvyEnvyEnvy

elastamum · 10/10/2010 11:52

Ohhh MILY Smile Envy

So glad it is going well, hose is a small price to pay. Am at my mums, she is asleep as she had a bit of a big day yesterday as my brothers took her out. I think it takes it out of her a bit.

Am working on my laptop, considering getting dressed! Off to the beach in a bit to fly kites with my boys.

mummyilubyou · 10/10/2010 12:24

Hey Elasta, glad your mum had a good day, hope you are on the beach now. The sun has finally emerged here and it is beautiful

I am so tired am prob going to be in bed by 9 tonight

BeauticianNotMagician · 10/10/2010 13:45

Hi All

Lilac Hope your dates go well today.

Mily Ahh RAF sounds great.Pleased you are getting on so well.Exh not putting a nappy on DD is just the kind of thing my ex would do.Why are they all so useless.

Elasta Hope your mum gets a good sleep i'm sure her day out was worth the tiredness.Kite flying at the beach sounds great.Have a good time.

StrawberryFruitBat · 10/10/2010 17:13

I am talking to a lovely intelligent physicist and to a boy who i think is purely a vent for my frustrations. I have never felt the desire to talk filth with a stranger but he seems to have hit a nerve Blush. We've been having normal talk today but think that Will change after another argh night with carrot.

Nothing from the poet but he's not been back on.

hope kite flying went well.

when you seeing dg next Beaut?
