Right bit of a pep talk needed ahead of my meeting tomorrow night.

Posters who know me on this thread know my history for the past year and a half and it's not great.

The guy I'm meeting tomorrow night is hideously younger than me, as usual, also doesn't have a car and job wise nothing special, no kids. Now if we get on do I just go with the flow or really think about possibly ending me single status by only going out with men where the future looks possible.

Had a message tonight off someone, nearer my age, status etc, not ugly but photo didn't float my boat.

I know some of you have had success, cheers to absent friends, but I reckon I don't help myself in my choices. Or should I just accept who I am and what I like and grab it whatever?

Didn't just mean absent friends that have had sucesses and glad some on the marital sofa are still posting.

Hello Belle, it's all gone quiet on the dating front, newbie Mummy is busy reading messages as we speak. I as you can see have a first meeting tomorrow night.

Ninah has resigned herself to the lure of a single bed. lol bet she will be swapping it soon.

Everyone with DP's still happy.

Juicy went Awol so expect she is too.

yeah all's fine, DP's lent me his car as mine's been written off. poor car. he's still trying to fight the fact i'm really the boss of the relationship! the boy's off with his dad for a week tomorrow so it means DP will be over everyday straight from work - eeeek! but all good.

(even get to ogle the marine as well now and again lol.)

That's great re DP and your time alone together. I thought it was DS struggling with who was the boss.

Date is with a guy I've nicknamed GB. Don't know why I'm so excited about it really, I haven't met him yet! Suppose I don't go out on blind dates often and he sent me a mobile pic which was really nice.

nooo the boy knows mummy's boss of the house lol. it's just DP who insists that he is... he's young (well 4 years older) but he'll learn! :o

GB hmm... sounds interesting have you spoken on the phone etc or is it literally an unknown?!? exciting stuff thou.

Hey ladies, sorry i didnt come back to relpy about exh after venting...latest is the woman he met sent a birthday card to my dd today so he has obv given her my address now too! told my mum today and she was fuming, she has told me not to tell her partner as he is very protective of dd's even tho he isnt biologically their grandad and will go mad!

Anyway all is mostly well with dp although he is working away this week and has just said he might be next week too, and i go on hols fri so might not get to see him :( for almost a month, not coping with that idea well at all, which is very strange from someone who was married to a forces man!

Monty-aww at the kittens, my cat has had 2 lots, 3 first time then 1 on its own second. She has been nuetured now thank god!

Ninah, thank you for asking. I think friend (df) was glad to see me and get out for an hour. As much as I was dreading it, it was normal. We chatted about our dc's and when it came down to talking about it she is looking forward to every treatment on offer, she tells me the Coalition are due to open the coffers in October and introduce all new drugs that NISA (?) have been forced to hold back because of costs certificates. DF is one of the strongest women I've ever had the pleasure to meet. We've known each other about 13 years now. So, she is not resigning herself to it or any end any time soon.

It is on her skin (this is how I understand it) because after they treated the breast cancer with masectomy and chemo, they then did radiation on the area to be sure nothing was left, but they treated the tissue and not the epidermis, which is what is spreading iirc and iyswim.

When I posted last night she was very down. But she wasn't tonight. She is strong.
