oh, all right then, how you all diddling?
hope respectives coughs and splutters are clearing up..

sfx - glad it went ok at hospital 9as OK as these things can be..) and, yep, chilli and chocolate is divine...

sushi...bloody gall of it..about your fence. hunt down that neighbour and show no mercy

paddle..hope you're enjoying your new home.

kew, i'd be up for the kew gdns tea-time thing. was miffed missed the carols concert last year. but....will have to be home for the X-factor final...sad but true.
me and the little fellas are having a 'final night' with nibbles and dressinmg up us our fave contestant....thionk they're just humoring me...

your lovely ds gave me a big cuddle and kiss this morning, made up for dd who blanked me in the excitement of pouncing on the new toy kitchen...

rose..that st'mary's thing looks fab. sadly am working. btw, think that kew gdns sat thing is usually free entry.

foxie...i'll come swimming with you to brenmtford...i always feel more confident when it's "all one (short-arse) depth.

all fine here - if anyone's still reading my looooooooooooong post (yawwwwwwwwwwn) just hectic meeting early work deadlines/christmas madness at school.
haven't done one bit of shopping yet, but dh and i are doing it in one swoop tomorrow. (that's the plan anyhow
toodlepip

stepfordwife · 11/12/2007 13:24

oh. kew, very at your cedars memebership..what a lovely present.

dd was on about going swimming with ds agaiin..
but you're a cedars gal now..and i'm pools on the park.
two different worlds..
think i'm going to start aqua areobics too..
AND i've got four pilates sessions for a tenner which i won at school's silent auction..

sfxmum · 11/12/2007 13:38

sushi such preciousness! oh the village life quite maddening. hope you get it sorted.
perhaps add garish Christmas lights outside?

starting to panic as I can't quite bring myself to do season shopping, just bought dh's main pressie online and keeping fingers crossed it gets here on time.

have hairdressers next Saturday so might get on with it then.

am always amused by dh's idea of time keeping, we get out rented car on the 22nd so he suggested we go to Ikea, I reminded him we
have family around in the afternoon/ evening. he said 'oh that's ok we can fit it in'

this is why when we need to get somewhere I am in charge of the plans and he is always late for everything he 'plans'

foxcubinapeartree · 11/12/2007 13:40

Steppy - a multi facetted woman! Oh goody I have three swimmingpals now - Steppy, Roase and SFX. All I need to do is learn to swim LOL!!

Rose the Brentford pool looks nicer than pools in the park - is it?

Did someone buy you Cedars membership for Chrissy Kew?

Paddle congrats to your friend and her super efficient hormones/body parts

CoV I read your thread - what a cheek eh? Deffo a reason to stay constantly drunk for 2 days me thinks

What time is tea in Kew? Doubt if I'll get there 'cos I have to wait in for Santa Argos delivery and knowing my luck they'll turn up at 2.59pm or something.

SushiMummy · 11/12/2007 13:42

Thanks all. OK I've calmed down a bit after a nice cup of green tea. Our next door neighbour has been doing mega makeover to the house since they moved in about 5 months ago, so maybe someone saw it and contacted the council reporting the wrong house? Don't know if they have replaced the window, tho. Am still a bit paranoid about who reported it though. The problem is we have to find some proof but don't know if we can find such stuff. Photos with dates on? Argh. It's not fair!

Steppie - don't go to KG for Xmas shopping - everything is soooo overpriced!

Have a nice day, everyone!

foxcubinapeartree · 11/12/2007 13:42

Sushi do you think your grass neighbour sent the council the worng address by mistake? First rule of grassing is get your facts right. Or so I am told....

It would have been worse if you had put a new window in - think of the expense of getting it changed again!

Don't people have anything better to think about anyway?

sfx, i might be making a trip to ikea next tuesday or maybe sunday. want a table and chairs for dd and some blinds for lounge room.

house is still chaotic and it's getting to me somewhat. am feeling unreasonably anxious and irritable. poor dd is getting the brunt of it. i just cannot seem to find time to do anything.

haven't posted my MN Secret Santa parcels yet and that is annoying the hell out of me! mother has used all my brown wrapping/posting paper to line the bloody kitchen drawers!

in a viscious circle of no engery to do anything then wasting energy stressing about not having done anything!

cleaner coming at 3pm and am not even sure where hoover is.

must get sorted with online shopping as it's too hard trying to get shopping indoors with dd in tow.

the reality of downsizing and losing a ground floor entrance just didn't register till now!

arg! someone slap me very very hard please!

Foxie - DH thinks Kew Gardens Society is behind it. We just had a lovely street party (where we met Kew's sis's neighbour) last Friday and everyone is nice to each other (so we hope) so I don't think it's the nighbours...

Am all for those going swimming. You all will be even more fit, slim and sexy!

Paddlechick666 · 11/12/2007 13:54

ps: sfx, that info on my trip to ikea was supposed to read as an invite to join me! not just a random comment that appeared to be me thumbing my nose at you!

am putting slimming plans on hold until after Christmas I think

paddle moving is stressful up in the league with bereavement, divorce, birth of child. give it time.

not to mention traditional cheery time of year is upon us

sfxmum · 11/12/2007 14:00

paddle

bahKewcHumbug · 11/12/2007 14:49

Cedars pool is short arsed depth all the way Foxie/Steppie If you're feeling flush Steppie I can take you in as a guest for £10 (guess what I will be giving out as presents this year!). Also I may deign to occasionally swim with the plebs from time to time...

bahKewcHumbug · 11/12/2007 14:50

why was my sisters neighbour at your street party? [puzzled emoticon] - was it the lady with the three girls - my sisters kids used to baby sit for them if it was.

SushiMummy · 11/12/2007 15:09

Re your sister's neighbour, Kew, they are renting a house on our road whilst doing reburbishment/remodelling to the house. I think they have young girls.

rosmerta · 11/12/2007 18:31

Tbh Foxie, I think Pools in the park is nicer, Fountain is just old! But Fountain is much closer to me which is why I go there.

Paddle, do you need a hand at all? I'm around most afternoons and also this weekend if there's anything I can do to help.

We went to the fair thingy this afternoon, it was ok, very chaotic and I had to keep a close eye on ds who would just sneak a hand up to the cake table & steal something, guess it runs in the family . We did come away with a decorated bauble (which smudged on the way home!), a painted xmas card & another painting though! And ds didn't scream at Santa today!

foxcubinapeartree · 11/12/2007 18:46

Ooooh that you've invited Steppy and not me QC!

Can I come with you as a guest when I can swim then ? I aspire to going to Cedars - I have a vision of myself dropping DCs at school then "popping" up to Cedars for a swim, with DS2 deposited happily into their creche for an hour

SJ99 · 11/12/2007 19:08

Am also at those with gym/swim action
Since Dh started doing his trips away I barely go these days, might cancel membership as no benefit in me paying mthly at this rate

Ros- Glad DS enjoyed xmas do and Santa's company

Paddle - deep breath, it will get easier and look what you achieved already with the move. Also around if you need a hand

Sushi - you must have nice neighbours, you hardly ever hear about street parties these days

Just put DS to bed and as I was getting him into pj's he kept singing the hokey cokey and collapsing into giggles

mellow2 · 11/12/2007 19:10

Thanks for all the birthday wishes.

Foxie,
If you were part of Facebook, you would know it's my birthday too. I hope they didn't post my age too.

SJ,
Are you free tomorrow Wed, Thu or Fri?

Sfx,
I got some really gorgeous bags in my shop if you're still interested in getting a bag for your MIL for Christmas.

pictures of bags here

Oops

sfxmum · 11/12/2007 19:40

mellow yes please think I might get one for myself as well will look properly after dd in bed.

does anyone want to meet up this week, I think dd is quite sick of my company.

bahKewcHumbug · 11/12/2007 19:55

foxie - you're more than welcome but I don;t really go grown up swimming there (as have DS with me unless its acqua night) plan is to either take him Saturday tea time or Sunday morning (not Friday day because I go to acqua in the evening and there's only so wrinkled a woman can get at my age wihtout it becoming irreversible).

Perhaps over Xmas hols if your DH and my DM can babysit we could go for a civilised swim and steam an jacuzzi?

foxcubinapeartree · 11/12/2007 21:37

Ooooh yes please QC - you won't have to ask me twice !!!

I might talk to you about baby swims too as I'm not sure when to take DS2 - he's 9 months now. Will have a chat offline but am a bit ignorant about what wee ones "do" in the water. Is it just a case of holding them so they get the feel of it. Or do you put a peice of chocolate on the edge of the swimming pool, stand in the middle with child, then let go and say "swim towards the chocolate and you can have it"?

Mellow I would like a bag (perfect Secret Santa for my book club booze meal)and would need to get it off you buy Thursday 20th - is that do able do you think? Might give you a call if I can remember.

mellow2 · 11/12/2007 21:42

sfx,

What's on the site is only 6 out of 27 styles. The rest are in my flat. If you're interested, you can come round for a browse.
