OP posts:
sfxmum · 12/12/2007 09:46

chocolate before 12 months
swearing toddlers, what next? fruit shoots MN memberships revoked you lot

anyhow mellow yes will grab bags for MIL SIL and mb sisters and self, must find suitable day to poop by yours.

hi hope you are all well

we took dd since she was 8/9 wks and she does like the water no actual swimming.

I really dislike saunas like I generally do not like heat, it makes me dizzy, dh quite suspicious of my southern even African roots

sfxmum · 12/12/2007 09:47

mellow I promise will not poop but pop politely
although can't talk for dd

mellow2 · 12/12/2007 09:48

sj,

I sent you a text.

ComeOVenReadyturkey · 12/12/2007 09:53

Morning all. LOL at "pooping" sfx, especially after "telling off" others for their behaviour .

What a beautiful morning, but cold. DS has his last monkey music session today, as after xmas he will be going to nursery 5 mornings a week. Can't believe my "baby" turns 3 next week .

Paddle - are you still getting mail from your old place and/or have you updated the mn contact list with your new details, as I am doing the last of my cards and only have your previous addy?

My washing machine is leaking into the cuboard under the sink in the utility room so dh attemtped to "sort it out" last night. He made it worse so we had to shut the water of and will be waitning for a plumber this afternoon, who no doubt will tut at dh's amateur wok and charge me a bl**dy fortune!

SJ99 · 12/12/2007 13:00

Hello all

How is everyone?

LOL at mini-Paddle, DS actually said FFS the other day luckily we were at home, those words have not left my mouth ever since then

LOL at poop too!

Hopefully see you later Mellow

rosmerta · 12/12/2007 13:02

afternoon all, ds all over the place today as he woke up at 3.30am and I have no idea what time he went back off to sleep as I turned the monitor off , I know it wasn't until after 5am though. He then slept in until 9am but now won't have his afternoon nap! And typically he has to be up by 2.30pm because he's got his nursery's xmas concert at 3! He's supposed to be singing Jingle Bells but think he might just stand there & grin!

Anyway, [deep breath], how's everyone else? Lol at sfx & minipads (though I know I shouldn't).

Foxie, if you want to pop round some time I can go over some stuff about baby swimming? I've been taking ds since he was 3mo and I've got a dvd, which you can have that has exercises and stuff you can do with them to get them used to it. They are good, I can now drop ds into the water and he will swim up to the surface and grab hold of the side!

SJ99 · 12/12/2007 13:06

Hi Ros

I've got the opposite suituation in that DS went his playgroup xmas party this morning and is way too stimulated to drop off for nap despite being well tired! Anyway you're not alone in having a sleepless toddler. Hope he enjoys his xmas party.

Sounds like he's doing well withhis swimming too. DS enjoys swimming and these days likes to practice his moves in the bath

rosmerta · 12/12/2007 13:30

oh, its so much fun isn't it

foxcubinapeartree · 12/12/2007 14:18

Hi everyone

Steppy/QC just spoke with CM - she is very, very ill and has been ordered by GP to take the rest of week off (you have been warned) I've known her for 3.5 years and she's never taken a day sick - she is feeling very guilty so I told her off. Its not her fault she's ill.

Rose - that would be great - thanx . at the thought of dropping DS2 - though he does love the water already (in the bath). That would be very informative anyway - cheers

Paddle - is that what you say to DH then ???

Steppy LOL at your post about Cedars!!

DD said to me today:

"Maria's house has an attic. Its a room upstairs. Do you know who sleeps up there Mummy? : people who come and do sleepovers with Maria's Daddy"

And I thought they were a good Catholic family.....

DS2 woke me up at 4am this morning and wanted to party so am quite a baggy eyed one today

rosmerta · 12/12/2007 14:29

Foxie, lol at your dd friend's family! You always have to watch out for the Catholic ones . And it's only recently I've started the dropping him in thing, I didn't do it on the first day in the pool! But you're more than welcome to take the dvd and at least it will give you an idea of where to start. Its very cute as well with all the little babies!

sfxmum · 12/12/2007 14:44

lovely smell in our place today as we are baking oat and raisin cookies, dd seems to just want to eat the dough

we did glitter gluing paper chains earlier I am so bad at crafts it'd almost funny, dd does not seem to mind but once she goes to nursery my shortcomings will be evident

bahKewcHumbug · 12/12/2007 14:59

bloody hell. I know its not her fault foxie but its the biggest week of the year for me in work - we're . My mum is already having DS today from 7.30am to 11pm and Friday 7.30am to 7pm. Oh god

bahKewcHumbug · 12/12/2007 15:02

that should say we're moving ofice on Friday and I'm the "move master".

foxcubinapeartree · 12/12/2007 17:25

OMG QC - that sounds stressful . I have my team Christmas lunch on Friday when we need the CM (almost as significant as your office move I am sure you will agree). I'm trying to arrange for DH to take a day off - mind you I'd be happy not to go to the Team lunch as its just before payday and I'm broke and I'll be expected to pay for drinks (which I'm happy to do but I'll have to put it on the credit card this time of the month). Maybe I'll stay at home and be a meanie . I've just bought all the Chrissie pressies and am cleaned out. I hate it when there is a pressure to spend money when I am broke.

sfx - my house smells nice too. Our cleaner came today . She cleaned our oven

Rose yes would love to borrow it - it would give me some idea what to do with DS2

bahKewcHumbug · 12/12/2007 17:42

my mum is an angel.

rosmerta · 12/12/2007 20:45

Kew, your mum does indeed sound like an angel.

Went to ds's first xmas concert this afternoon at nursery. He wouldn't sing but he did grin and shake his bells. It was so cute. The older toddler class did a version of Snow White as well. It was just really funny to see all these kids shouting out 'mummy, daddy' while performing!

SJ99 · 13/12/2007 09:23

Morning all

KQ - hope you manange to get some cover for CM, can she help you find someone to look after DS?

Foxie - hope you make it to your xmas lunch, would be a pity to miss out

Ros - sounds like you had a proud mummy monemt, awww! Tears in your eyes?!

Mellow - really nice to catch up with you yesterday and see your charming DD

I've agreed to look after another toddler this morning for a friend, now I'm slightly scared given her recent bout of tantrums...

I was going to wear black trousers & spangly top for DH's xmas party but last night he called and said it was going to be more like Black tie have tried on 2 dresses, one feels really tight - wouldn't be able to breathe out all night, the other is good but I have no shoes to go with it, not sure when I'll have time for shoe shopping. If only he'd found out earlier (as I kept asking him to do so) would be able to get outfit sorted, grrr men
