Hi Everyone,

having a few hours to myself. finished work early soo.. instead or resting tidying away. glad to see everyone is ok. looking forward to Saturday, bit of a panic station last week as realised how close Aaron's birthday was and had nothing booked. Done most of it in the last few days, including getting the cake ordered today. Looking forward to seeing you and family Mine and Vicky will be good to see you and Luc too if you can make it.

Hope you have a nice time tomorrow at the park. I envy you girls. Today is a lovely day so hope it spills over into tomorrow.

Busy busy at work, so not had much time for MN'ing or anything else for that matter. Shattered by the time I get home. Must dash, off to collect Aaron from nursery. Take care. Jaxs

Vicky31 · 01/04/2009 18:27

Hi Jax. Glad to hear you're well. Sounds like you're doiong some proper party planning.

Mine - the park in Cheshunt is called Grundy Park - the car park is behind the little Tesco in the town and the playground is just in front of the leisure centre entrance. Do you know it? If we can say 2.45 that'll give me time to get Luc up and get there if he sleeps late.

BTW car park is pay and display.
See you tomorrow.

Mine · 01/04/2009 22:03

Jax - sounds like you need to slow down!! I can;t beleive Aaron is 1 already.

Where did all the time go....

see you on saturday.

Vicky, Grundy Park sounds good. I'll see you there at 2.45

Vicky31 · 06/04/2009 12:14

Jax - I hope Aaron's birthday party went well and that you all had a good time. To say lunch at my MIL overran would be somewhat of an understatement. Sorry we didn't make it.

How is everyone? I'm going to take Luc out in the sunshine this afternoon as the weather man has told me it's going to rain for the rest of the week.

Jello39 · 08/04/2009 22:45

Hi alll,

hope you are well, it was great to see you again Mine. I hope you and Eren enjoyed yourselves. it was a bit made to begin with but I think the kids had a good time. Sorry you couldnt make it Vicky.
Well Aaron is the big 1 now, we were going to have a little celebration on his actual birthday but ended up at hospital as he got a fever which ended up going to 41 degrees, the little man has an infection in both ears so not been too bright for the last few days.

looking forward to Easter, a few more days not to go to work!!.

I do hope we get some sun this weekend, really enjoying taking lo out to the park to give him a chance to practice his walking. Just needs the confidence now to go it alone..

Mine · 10/04/2009 13:35

Happy Easter ladies and babies !!!

Jax - eren and i had a lovely time. He usually likes to sit back and watch other kids play, but he loved it so much he got stuck in straight away

Vicky are you enjoying your new hair and nails!???!!! Lucky girl.

Mine · 21/04/2009 10:54

hello

Enjoy the 'holiday' for a few days Vicki ! Remember to savour every minute of it..... you actually will get a lunch 'break' and you get to go to the loo all by yourself. You don;t have to change a nappy, make lunch! Its a proper holiday!!

Hiya Harri - missed you guys. How is Erin??

Its such a nice day today, i was actually going to take Eren to Paradise Wildlife park this afternoon. I love it there (bit pricey but hey hoo).

I got offered the job at the DWP. Great, but gutted i have to leave Eren. Not sure when i start as they have a long CRB and references checks procedure i'm told.

I have another interview tomorrow for the same job in a different district if that makes sense...

Jello39 · 23/04/2009 23:05

Hello,

its all work and bed at the mo. Aaron's earache has gone, just his teething troubling him now.

Vicki - yes do enjoy your few days, it is nice being able to have a proper lunch. I still have to remember to close the loo door as so used to having it open at home so that I can keep an eye on Aaron.

Big news ,,,, Aaron is finally walking on own, all took off on Easter Sunday at MIL. Its great to see him walking along like a little drunk man but now I worry so much that he will fall and hurt himself, though he seems to have no fear.

Nursery going ok, he is defo not a fan of it just yet. Would love to meet up Harri, to see all again. Tue or Thu I may be able to swap with but not for the next couple of weeks as we are mega busy.

Mine - hope it all works out on the job front.

take care one and all.
Jaxs xx

Vicky31 · 29/04/2009 12:07

Hi ladies

Lovely day. Hope you're all well.

Let's get together soon. Harri, the farm idea sounds good. I took Luc to Hayes Hill Farm in Waltham Abbey last year which was nice, but we'd be up for a trip anywhere.

My few days at work was lovely. Felt like a real break and it was so good to catch up with everyone. It was kind of surreal - like I'd never been away. Luc was awful with teething last week so Oli really had his work cut out for him

Congrats to Aaron for the walking!

Vx

Vicky31 · 05/05/2009 14:41

Anyone there?

Luc has a stomach bug and molars coming through. I would give anything for some sleep!

Mine · 05/05/2009 14:57

hi vicky

i sympathise with you re sleep and teething. I am soooo sick of it.

How many molars does Luc have coming through??

Vicky31 · 05/05/2009 21:55

just the one as far as I can see but I'm hoping there are more - I can't be going through this all the time. We had an hour and a half of screaming tonight - tried teething gel, calpol, everything. I finally gave in and brought him downstairs and he fell asleep almost instantly. I bet he doesn't sleep any later tomorrow though
How's Eren getting on?

Mine · 06/05/2009 11:05

i hate it when they play up at bedtimes. Eren has been doing this a bit, but he mainly has been waking up a couple of times in the middle of the night. I find him standing up in his cot just crying and crying until i come and give him a cuddle, tuck him straight back into bed and he nods off again...... a few hours later he wakes again. I'm not sure if its because of his teeth or a new habit.

Feeling a bit claustrophobic today so i'll probably take Eren out after his nap. We might venture out to one of the farms or maybe go to Forty Hall..... i never actually been there before!!

What's everyone else up to????

Jello39 · 08/05/2009 23:24

Hello,

finally found some time to have a quick look to see how everyone is doing. so busy at work at present.

I hope everyone is well. Aaron is tearing around these days on his little feet, getting himself into mischief, now I could do with eyes at all angles to see what he is up to.

Hey Mine - he still gets up 2-3 times a night, sometimes its his teeth as he has 2 coming thru other times just for a cuddle. bet you must be tired.

Hey Vicky how is it going now with Luc. any news from Harri???

hey we got interviewed for a piece in the Sun which came out about the new charts they will be using breastfeed v. bottle. it was due to be in the paper but was only put on line in the end. I was rather keen to begin with but the more I thought about it with the reputation they have I was wary. Anyhow although it was slightly sensationalised it was pretty much the truth. I look like a very frumpy house wife, not sure why I wore the hoody,

Harri1 · 11/05/2009 14:01

Hi all, sorry hectic at the mo and lots of weekends visiting

Erin doing the same as your lovely boys, much harder to settle at night and waking up crying wanting a cuddle!
Hope it's just a teething thing (fingers crossed) and soooo fed up with these yucky colds going round.

So how is everyone/

Jaxs the picture looks great and Aaron is lovely a real little booy now.

WHat's news with all, lovely boys, work etc.
I'm going back an extra 1/2 day a week in september more responsibility and erin hopefully going to nursery for 1/2 day any recommendations?

speak soon xx

Mine · 31/05/2009 21:06

Hello ladies,

Its beena while since anyone was one here!!

Harri its great to hear from you. You sound really busy. No advice on the nursery from me i'm afraid as Eren was looked after by my mum when i returned to work after mat leave and he will be going back to my mums as of next week when i start new job. I did look into a nursery for him But it was a bit too expensive.... about £67 for the day.

Vicki whats new with you and lovely Luc???

Jello - i read the peice in the Sun, and i think you were soo right to stick to your guns about Aaron and breastfeeding. I hate it when MW or HVs tell you what to do without thinking about your individual needs etc. They just seem to regurgitate the same drivel to everyone. I only came across one decent HV!

Well, first day tomorrow at my new job!! Excited, nervous.. to say the least.

Harri1 · 06/06/2009 17:38

Hi,
Hope the 1st day went well Min, where is it and what is the new job?

Found a nursery for ERin same one as Aaron actually, she starts in sept only 1/2 day a week then granny fpr two days as before, a relief to have it sorted I have to say.

How are all the boys doing? ANy exciting words yet?

Speak soon xxx

Jello39 · 07/06/2009 16:52

hi,

everyone is so busy these days. we seem to be out most weekends too Harri.

congrats on the nursery, Aaron goes Wed and Fri, are we likely to meet???.
Saying that Aaron picked up hand, foot and mouth from nursery last week, poor thing ended up with spots all around is mouth and inside too and a large one on his botty. He was very grumpy and unwell for a few days however now running around same as usual. Unfortunately I now have it. i am so itchy with most of it being on my ears and the soles of my feet so pretty difficult to walk.

Mine - let us know about your new job.

Aaron recently fitted for new shoes, up to size 3 at last and have just bought a forward facing car seat for him. oh we also got a new buggy, got fed up of his petite star, I coerced dh into gettin a city mini jogger, a lovely bit of kit even though slightly heavier and rather more pricier than the petite star.

take care of yourselves. jaxs

Mine · 21/06/2009 10:28

hellloooooooo (echos....... )

how is everybody??
it dies out pretty fast on here

Its pretty exciting that Aaron and Erin get to be at the same nursery!

Vicki how was your girls weekend away ?
Budapest wasn;t it...?

I wish i could go away for a bit

New job is going ok. Its a million miles away from what i had been doing for the last 10 years so its been a big and slow learning experience.

People are nice, but a bit clicky if you know what i mean. They have all worked there from between 15-25years!!
So not only am i one of the youngest, i have a lot to learn to try and catch up.
I hate being the new girl. Luckily there are 7 of us newbies, so i'm not all on my own.
Feels a bit like school
juggling full time work and family is ok, but its starting ot get a handful.
I don;t think dh realises that i'm not a SAHM anymore and don;t have to the time to do all the housework, cooking and childcare as before.
He has a couple of weeks off coming up, he'll get a nasty shock when he finds that he has to do it all...... on his own [tee hee!)

Eren is going great. Each day he learns a new word. His favourite word at the moment is Bubbles..... or Baaaaaboooooollls as he likes to pronounce
I don;t know about the rest of you, but Eren's tantrums are getting more and more frequent. He has lost all his patience and just kicks of in true diva style if he can;t have his own way.
Its driving us mental.

Anyway, enough faffing from me. I'm off to starbucks !!

Harri1 · 22/06/2009 15:23

Hello,
we are still around but tell you what life is getting in the way of all this internet stuff!!
You'll soon settle into new work routine and i'm sure you'll amke new work friends soon.
I love hearing them starting to talk and love the new words- aeroplane is erins newest or - airdum as she calls it. They are just sooo cute.
We must arrange a get together soon perhaps a sat or sun morning walk in a park somewhere?? let us know xx

Jello39 · 01/07/2009 00:29

Hi,

so hard to find a moment to log on these days. just having a quick cuppa before I retire for the night.

Lovinh the heat wave . Unfortunately our room gets so hot so Aaron is waking up early in a sweat. He is gabbling way loads these days, its like listening to a little china man. Loves cars and touching their lovely dirty hub covers, spend all my time washing his hands when we are together. DH had a week off last week. He really enjoyed looking after him and gave Mum a break for the week. Mind you he didnt do all the other things such as washing, shopping etc, you know those mundane things us girls have to do!!

off to bed, another day of work. Im up for a weekend meet,if everyone else is.

Jaxssssss
