I've always had that problem with Luc. Soft play then? We might get a few seconds peace that way. What sort of time suits everyone?

I have pushy mothers in palmers green til 1.30 so late afternoon is that ok? i can make it by 3ish? southbury soft play

Hi girls,

Harri sorry to hear about the purse. what rotten people.. i hope they burn......

afraid I wont be able to come tomorrow, work have called a meeting in the afternoon before the Xmas break, right pain as I had to go in this morning to do staff evaluations.

re feeding - Aaron back on track, I'm finished with HV's.. had him weighed last week, back on track but another HV at clinic has given conflicting info re feeding even saying that what the other HV advised was wrong so i'm just going to go with my own instinct and quit worrying.

have a really good time tomorrow and seeing as I probably will now not see you guys until after Xmas just want to wish you and all the merry babies a very wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Soft play was great... for me!
Eren was pretty grumpy for the rest of the day, but he must have been watching Erin very closely because today he just got up and walked from one end of the room to the other without holding on to the furniture !!!!!!!!

Now all he wants to do is walk everywhere !

hello ladies and little ones!
I hope everyone had a nice christmas.

I certainly did. We went to my MIL's, my parents were invited too which was great. MIL always makes fab food so i was in food scoffing heaven

Eren woke up at 7am and promptly walked to the pile of presents waiting for him in the living room. It was so cute!

I'm off to bed for an early night, as Dh is working and there is nothing on TV.. as usual.

Happy New Year and best wishes for 2009.
Had a nice Christmas with MIL, better than anticipated. Aaron didnt show much enthusiam for the present unwrapping but seems to like all his new toys. Where are we to put hem all?? started to crawl just before Xmas so we are having to moving things out of his reach. off to my parents now for New Years dinner. hope to see you all soon.

I am so enjoying having DH around to help with Luc - we've been doing alternate mornings of getting up. I'll be sad to see him go back to work on Monday.

Jello, I know what you mean about where to put all the new toys. My parents bought Luc this huge train that sings songs in an irritating American voice. I think we're going to have to have a clear out of some of the older stuff.

Thursday then? Luc is having his MMR tomorrow so hopefully will be ok. I'm happy to do soft play again if you like. Around 3ish?
We'll have to find some new things to do with our little ones this year.

Is anyone else struggling with feeding at the mo??

I'm trying to get Eren to eat more meals on his own, but he just wants to play with it. I;m also running out of ideas on what to give him.
Whats everyone else giving?

Erin had mmr yesterday ok so far few tears but bribed her with organix gingervread men!!!

Feeding is often a struggle and I'm low on ideas for new stuff too. I might make some little quiches with a bit of veg in and see what he thinks. Tortellini is good - I freeze the fresh stuff in little portions and it only takes a few minutes to cook - with a bit of pasatta and grated cheese on top it's one of the few things Luc will always eat.

Harri, good idea about the biscuits, I'll have some standing by. Glad to hear Erin is ok.

Hi, all, catching up. couldnt do today either as my office day.

Vicky - hope the MMR will be ok for Luc, thank goodness I still have a few more months before Aarons next set of jabs.
he's defo on the move now, have to have eyes in the back of my head and be a champion sprinter to get to him before he bumps his head or tries to lift heavy things. All I seem to be saying to him is NO these days to which he just looks around, grins at me, then does what I do'nt want him to do.
Will need to start looking into the various options of what we do with the little one when I go back full time into the office in March. anyone have any good recommendations on possible childminders or nurseries??

Harri - missed you at Pushy mothers, guess you wont be coming anymore. It was a cold day but made up for it at Starbucks as usual.

Mine - how is the lady of leisure?. sure Eren will eat it eventually, probably still a big adventure for him. . Aaron sometimes goes through stages of not really wanting to eat and then he's fine and he also likes to play with it. As for food, fraid to say I've gone down the root of jars the majority of the time at the moment, just dont have the time to always cook,, maybe you can use the jars as inspiration for different foods to give him or look on internet as many of the baby websites have a food section with recipes for baby/toddlers.
