Hey, we've done 2 pages! Not bad for Enfield ;)

Harri1 · 27/02/2008 19:07

Yay it's still only the 3 of us though keeping enfield going strong

Mine · 27/02/2008 22:32

you'd think with allll the pregnant women you see around north london, there would be a few more on mn, but hey maybe they're just computer phobic!!

2 pages... yay for us.
Went to my sister's to eat... or rather watch everyone else eat yummy birthday cake.. you know the ones from M&S with the victoria sponge filling and icing on top.

I got her an adult babygrow sleep thing!!! Sounds weird but is actually really cute.. wish i had one for myself for those AF days iykwim .
It looks exactly like the ones for babies....... fleecey and everything. She looked very cute but a twit at the same time!!! 30 going on 3 .

Vicky31 · 27/02/2008 23:12

Eat the cake. Helps keep your strenght up for looking after baby!

I'm going to do battle with my pram tomorrow to turn it into a pushchair, as boy is getting bored in his pram with nothing to look at but me. The woman in the shop made the conversion look easy but I'm betting that I'll need some Valium by the time it's done

Hey, I wonder if we'll get pressies on Sunday.

Mine · 27/02/2008 23:16

i've dropped enough hints..... strike that... i've outright demanded to be spoilt on sunday!!! That includes pressies too . DH had better not disappoint..... fathers day is only a few months away and my memory is very long!

God i sound demanding

Actually all i want is a long lazy day in bed...... not likely though.

Harri1 · 28/02/2008 15:24

I keep mentioning mothers day too... i hope for pressies and a really soppy card but who knows- granny coming to stay so I'll def get some time to myself as she loves fussing with DD she even doethe 1st morning feed for me to lie in!!!!!!!!

Vicky31 · 28/02/2008 18:59

Wow, a lie in, that's a thing of the past but I'm dropping heavy hints for Sunday. That's really all I want. I love my bed and I need to be reunited with it

Mine · 28/02/2008 20:19

had a boring day today, ds slept a bit more than usual... now i'm worried he my not sleep tonight.......

going to my mum's for a but tonight... change of scenery sort of thing. DH off for a long weekend tomorrow which will be nice, might do something exciting

Mine · 02/03/2008 10:56

HAPPY MUMMY'S DAY LOVELY LADIES!!!!!!!!!!

dh and 5 month old ds came good!!
Don;t you just love a day dedicated just for us!
I'm a new mum so its a bit odd to think that mothers day include you too and isn;t just about my mum... iykwim!

Vicky31 · 02/03/2008 13:42

Happy Mother's Day!
Didn't get my lie in but glad to hear that you're having a nice one.
I know what you mean about it being weird to be the 'mother'
Treated myself to some nice new bras yesterday and it was lovely to throw away all those nasty nursing bras and the horrible old lady styles I got when I was pregnant.

Harri1 · 02/03/2008 22:05

Happy Mother's DAy ladies!!!!!!!!!
loving being a mum even more today!
Got my lie in- grannies are great- and a card from my girl, yay
and daddies treat, we went on the london eye.
hink I might enkoy this mothers day thing.
hope you all hd a good day too
see you weds

Mine · 03/03/2008 09:30

i think MD should be every day of the year!!
Love it. Although i didn't get my lazy day in bed (was asking for the impossible really), i got a lovely collection of chanel bits and a handbag from ds (via dh of course) to put all his treasures in ie nappies, bottles, and dummy etc!!

Went out for dinner in Palmers Green.... Chef Gourmet....i think thats in Palmers Green.. or is it Winchmore Hill....
Ate to much, but so what

Harri1 · 03/03/2008 11:34

MMMMMMM lucky you chef gourmet palmers green v.good chinese they do good take away too.

Mine · 03/03/2008 16:27

it was very yummy but we always over do on the starter/buffet type thing and can never finish to final course!

ds has come to that grabby stage.. he just wants to grab everything and put it straight in his mouth! Funny to watch and tease him with things.

How old are your lo's..??
I went to the clinic today and got him weighted .... 18lb 5oz at 19 weeks...... little heifer
He gets that from his dad!!

Vicky31 · 03/03/2008 18:55

Mmmmmm Chinese. I don't want to cook tonight!

Ds is 15 weeks now and weighed 14lb 2oz when I had him weighed a couple of weeks ago. He has lovely fat squishy thighs! Sometimes my back aches so much from carrying him around.

He also likes to put everything in his mouth - I think I can feel a tooth coming through.

I had a really nice day today although I didn't really do much. I think getting used to your own company is very hard when you've been used to having people around you at work all day. Anyway, I think I'm getting better at it and I didn't watch too much trash TV today

Harri1 · 03/03/2008 19:22

Hi my dd is 12 weeks and 14lb 6 a bouncing baby girl!!! Very drooly, dribbling everywhere and chewing on her hand all the time.
MD well and truly over granny took her for a walk today so I could clean the house
Then caught up for coffee with haringey mums which was great. Looking forward to wednesday

Mine · 03/03/2008 22:08

lovely chubby babies!!
Can't stand skinny ones, they are too fragile.

Sounds like you both had a good day.
I know what you mean about getting used to your own company.... my dh works shifts so i sometimes have to spend very large chunks of day or night on my own if mums away...... i love it at first but then miss adult company.
in fact i miss adult company a lot. DS is a good baby but not great at conversation

mum is leaving for a 3 month holiday tomorrow
Am really going ot miss her as i see her almost every day, she's also a great help to me with ds...... she'll be back before i know it though.

Am going to weightwatchers tomorrow for my weigh in... not looking forward to it... suspect i have put on weight

Harri1 · 04/03/2008 10:19

How was your weigh in? All gd I hope. Haven't been brave enough to go near scales yet. Need to start thinking about it son though- boo!

Mine · 04/03/2008 11:38

lost 1/2lb.... not too bad, but not great.
I ate out 4 times since last tuesday so a loss of even 1/5 lb is better than nothing i suppose!!

I need to lose 2 stone by end of May - we have a huge family wedding to go to and also our first family holiday.... my motivation is to get back into last years bikini

How is everyone today???

Vicky31 · 04/03/2008 13:05

I'm going a bit stir crazy today so off to see my mum soon. I don't know what I'd do without her for three months so I hope she's not planning any long holidays. Our first family holiday is also in May - just to centreparcs as I wanted something easy to begin with.
You did fantastically well considering the eating out. Food is so nice and exercise so boring. It's not easy!!

Mine · 04/03/2008 13:32

bad day Vicky...? Change of scenery always helps. Does your mum live close by??

Although sun is shining, its not really great for a walk so i'm staying in ... very bored though.. all i want to do is eat, or cook.
So far made tomato soup, olive bread and prepped dinner for tonight!
I'm turning into my mother........ i need to get out more!

Keep getting calls from work.. they want me to start earlier than i had planned. Things are going a crazy at work, so i just can;t face going back early. Would much rather stay home with ds for as long as i can.

Vicky31 · 04/03/2008 19:13

My mum lives about 5 minutes drive away so we pop round most days for a change of scene.
Your cooking sounds great. Lucky husband
Are you going back to work part or full time?
Looking forward to tomorrow. See you then!

Mine · 04/03/2008 19:55

re work - i want to go back and do a 4 day week, but not sure how its going to go down.....we'll see..

How was your day Vicky??

I'm guessing it'll be easy to recognise each other tomorrow in starbucks...... can't imagine there will be many women with babies sitting having coffee in there... or am i being naive?????

VVVQVJournalist · 04/03/2008 22:24
