Hi ladies
It's been really quiet on here........... where did everybody go????!!!

I cancelled Eren's MMR, it was supposed to be today, but i cancelled it as he had only just started feeling like himself again after 6 weeks of colds, teething pains and tummy bugs. I just think he has been through enough before i subject him to more discomfort. I think i'll leave it for a couple of weeks.

DOn't blame you if Eren hasn't been well bless him, Erin has been fine aftre hers though not even a sniffle (touch wood) How was Luc?

Hi ladies,

guess everyone just getting back into work mode or still recovering from Xmas Mine.

Aaron's just got over his last cold only to get another from DH. Hasn't stopped him though, just a bundle of energy.

hope to make pushy next week, i do miss it when i don't go, good exercise and helps blow the cobwebs away.

went on a training course on Mon for work. getting my brain to spell words on paper was a nightmare as it has been so long since I have had to do it.

depends on time for me on Tue, getting hair done mid morning,

I'll stay tuned.

Hi all

We haven't been up to much, just the usual. Luc had a bit of a temperature about a week after the MMR and is now a bit grumpy on and off from teething but all ok otherwise. I gave him milky bar buttons after the jabs to make up for such a horrible thing happening.

Tuesday afternoon is good for me.

I need a really good night out. Will drop hints to DH and wait till payday.

Nearly bed time!!! (Luc's that is). Time for wine, pizza and Dancing on Ice.

Hi Mine - I'm also 33 soon to be 34 and a SAHM to 2 boys. Not going to make it - my eldest has been sick this morning. The joys of teething - will watch this space for the next meet up

Yesterday's sniffle has turned into today's stinking cold (mine fortunately, not Luc) so I'm going to give today a miss - don't want to infect anyone with my lurgy.
Must go look for tissues with balm now

Welcome Trinny am also 33 v. soon to be 34 arggghhhh. Have a 13month old girl and would be great to meet you we r in palmers green so quite local, am back in work part time so still plenty of time at home with little one.

Its been very quiet on here .....
What's everyone up to??

Eren is always getting up to mischief, he has been having soo many tantrums lately too. DH and i are really trying to be consistent in the way we are dealing with it but Eren is really trying my patience. Everything from changing his nappy to feeding and getting his coat on seems to be a struggle... i wasn;t expecting this kind of behaviour for a few more months!

To balance this out, he has also been very cute too.... he is trying to wink at me, gives me cuddles and kisses when he knows he has been naughty and now likes to play with my hair

I hope everyone is doing ok.

Vicky - what was the name of the soft play centre in Waltham Abbey....???

Hi all,

tried Mini P's last Wed, Aaron had a good time and the babies that went seemed to really enjoy themselves but at £8 - £9 a session will wait until he can really get something out of it.

Should make Pushy this week Harri.

Mine -Aaron is a bit like Eren at the moment, not tantrums so much but as you said changing nappies & clothes,coats to go out twists and turns to get away, I have to bribe with all sorts, keys and his nappy bag holder are his fav at the moment. Complete nightmare today at swimming, took me 10 mins to get him into his swimming nappy as he tried to get away, he just loves exploring and doesn't want to sit still.

Aaron's teeth finally starting to come thru -3 all at the same time, unfortunately he is really suffering with his ears because of them so having to dose with paracetamol when it gets really bad.

Sorry to hear about the snuffles - everyone seems to be having them at the moment, so hard on the little ones.

Would be nice to have a meet up. - anyone up for one this Friday or next week?

We have tantrums too. So much for it not happening until they're two! I definitely think you're doing the right thing Mine trying to be consistent in dealing with it now - we're trying too - otherwise we'll have a pair of right little brats on our hands.

Jello - what's Mini P's?

The soft play in Waltham Abbey is called the Firehouse play centre. It's worth checking out as there's more stuff for little ones.

I'd be up for meeting Friday afternoon or next week.

I'm taking Luc to the doctor in the morning as he seems to be developing eczema quite badly. He's always been prone to a bit of dry skin but it's got so much worse over the last week or so and is now on his poor little face. Hopefully there'll be something they can give which will clear it up.

i don't think i'll be able to make it on friday after all. I'm having a tooth out on thursday and i'm not sure i'll be in much of a state to go anywhere... god i am absolutely petrified.

I think i need some kind of hypnotherapy to get me into the chair.....

Jello - if you still want to meet up tomorrow then about 3ish is good for me, or I'm happy to do a day next week when Mine can make it. Either is fine with me.

I've just dropped Luc off at my mums for a couple of hours. I was a woman at the end of my tether! Now I can get on a do stuff without him hanging on my leg demanding to be picked up.

hi folks,

well i had the tooth out and it was horrible, but i would say that considering i have a phobia of dentists

How is everyone else..??

Life with us is pretty much the same, except DH and i had been arguing more recently but we're working at getting back to our old selves again. We never agued before Eren but since baby its been pretty snippy here and there.

Things are fine though, thankfully.

Eren has learnt to climb the stairs and can now do it in under 20 seconds and is as quiet as a mouse! Unfortunately, he fell down the stairs the other day and ended up with a nasty bruise and bump.. now completely gone thankfully. I just need to teach him how to climb DOWN the stairs so it doesn;t happen again as he has worked out how to open the stair gate

Vicky - Is Luc giving you any peace...???

Anyone free for a meet up this week at all....??

off to watch Lark Rise on Sky+.....

Hi all, wow what about this snow!!!! Erin is loving it and me too like a big kid really.
Thanks for electrician offer Mine we found one in the end .
How things going? Don't worry bout little rows it happens to us all we have so many different pressures now and they expect everything to stay the same!

DOn't think weather is good for meet up this week more snow due weds and thurs!

Hi All.

Vicky - sorry didnt get back to you. got a bit hectic on Thu and Fri, was out most of the days.

Loving this snow, its wonderful. Took Aaron out into it today and let him touch it. Went to have a look at a nursery at the Green on Southgate, very nice place, must have been mad to go with all this snow but determined wouldnt let it put me off going out.

am up for the meet up next week, as you say nore snow forecast, also very busy as my friend had her baby last week and hoping to see lo on Friday, at office on Thu.

Mine - sure everyone will tell you partners all end up having little rows, its no different with me and DH. Its just having baby to contend with and still trying to get on and do normal day stuff plus a lack of sleep. I know I sometimes just resent the fact that he can go off to work and leave it behind for 8 hours yet I am stil at home lookng after Aaron and still working and looking after house at the same time.

Aaron's 4th tooth coming through as well now. still getting up 2-3 times a night. it is getting to me, hope it gets better before I have to go back into work in March otherwise I will be a walking zombie. He's an efficient little crawler and cruiser. Got the stairgates on, Bin bin on, cupboard locks will be going on shortly as well as into everything that he can open.

I've been trapped at home for the 4th consecutive day and its getting boring now.

I bet you're loving the snow Harri because the schools have closed for a few days!

Jello - great news on Aaron's 4th tooth, but its just a pain in your ass when they come through. Does bongela or any of those type things help sooth him..?? They didn;t help with Eren, but for most babies they do help.

Vicky - has Luc calmed down yet?

What happened to all our other enfield friends on here.......

I loved the snow and wanted more! I agree it's boring though to be stuck at home if you can't get out and about. If I don't leave the house twice a day I turn into a bit of a loony. Thank god for In the Night Garden though, half an hour of peace.

Luc has got over his clingy phase but has started waking up earlier and not napping so much during the day, so I'm flagging a bit and in need of some sleep. His eczema got really bad but we have steroid cream for him now as well as some greasy stuff that I slap on him several times a day and it's loads better already. He's walking too!

Hope everyone's ok. Let's meet up soon.

Hi,
getting busy at work. I have about 5 weeks left before back in office. Dreading going back full time and feeling guilty about leaving Aaron.

Mine - bonjela not really he is more into licking it off mt finger. I just give him some calpol if it gets bad, will change to nurofen though as apparently thst is better. Normally only night time when it is bad.

Vicky - good to hear Luc is walking now. feel sorry for Luc with the eczema. I had it as a kid and remember what is was like.

Yes lets meet up soon, I'd like to see you all before I go back to work as after that will not be around much.
