Hi all

It’s Kerr here, I wanted to post a quick update as I’m conscious Pamela hasn’t been on for a few days and the thread seems to have reached its limit.

Pamela hasn’t been feeling so good over the last few days - on a positive note, her bloods seem to have stabilised and, all being well, she might be ok for chemo round 2 in the next couple of days. She had a blood transfusion yesterday which, we hope, will also boost her energy levels. On the downside, her jaundice has returned, the bilirubin levels are increasing significantly. The CT scan at the beginning of the week showed no new blockages and our Consultant thought that some early necrosis of the tumour after the last chemo might be contributing, but nobody really knows what’s causing it. Further discussion to take place tomorrow. Seeing the jaundice is one of the worst parts of this, it’s so clear and obvious when it’s happening yet there’s nothing we can do to alleviate it.

Just wanted to let you know the latest. Please, please keep praying for her - she’s my everything, my world, and every thought and prayer is deeply appreciated.

Kerr

PS if there is a charity that Pamela supported, let us know, because I am certain that some of us would donate in her memory x

Im so sorry for your terrible loss.

Hi Kerr, I wish you and your son all the very best for the future. I'm sure she is looking down on you and will always be by your sides and will help guide you both. Life can be cruel and losing Pamela is an example of that, taken in her prime. My heart breaks for you all. The pain must be unbearable and unrelenting, I hope it eases and quickly. Thankful that you and Jacob have each other. God bless.

Sugargliderwombat · 14/08/2023 23:46

What a beautiful photo, every time I think of Pamela i hold my little boy closer. Life is so cruelly short and you all deserved so much more time together.

Claricethecat45 · 15/08/2023 02:34

Kerr, what a beautiful picture of you both and thank you for sharing.

It's quite clear how very blessed you both were to have found each other and, like many others, I have been so touched by Pamela's story.

I wish you and Jacob peace and love as you adjust to a different way of living now, but please know that you are all, held in the hearts of many strangers, who will be thinking of you in the days, and indeed years ahead.

Much love to you

Whoisit11 · 15/08/2023 02:43

A gorgeous photo. You looked perfect together. ❤ I'm so sorry for your loss. I read every one of Pamela's post and it really struck me as I always felt she wrote as she spoke despite never meeting her.

I wish her peace and you and your family strength. ❤

Thank you for putting up that lovely lovely picture of the pair of you. You look so happy and yes beautiful. I wish you all the very best for the future Kerr. You have to lead Jacob through this and find your way in the space Pamela has left. I am walking the same path as you and sometimes my children lead me. Be kind to yourself. You will be surrounded by the love and light Pamela brought to your life. Remember that. Someone said to me that the first year is your year to be close to the one you have lost. To love them and think of them and surround yourself in their memory. I was searching for my OH everywhere and I think of him all the time. Pamela is with you and your son everywhere. It was a privilege to read her true and brave messages on here and to share the wonderful replies. I am grateful to have been part of that circle of love and support.
She was a special person and obviously so dear to you and Jacob. Know this Kerr, she brought the power of love to many people. I wish you, Jacob and Pamela's mother all that I can . I wish you courage and love. You have that in spades. I saw that myself. Onwards . xxxx

I feel so privileged to have read Pamela’s posts here and it really did show how precious life is, the value of family, friends, kindness. May she rest in peace.

MyOtherNameToday · 15/08/2023 07:49

What a lovely photo Kerr 💙

Thank you for sharing it. Pamela really did make such a huge impression on so many of us. I hope it gives you and Jacob some comfort. Take care of yourselves.

watermeloncougar · 15/08/2023 07:55

Thank you for sharing such a lovely photo with us. Pamela painted such honest and heartfelt pictures through her words, but it's special to be able to visualise her happy, smiling, loving and loved.

Pamela has reached so many people through her posts, and her love for her family and for life just shone. A testament to your family.

UseOfWeapons · 15/08/2023 07:56

Absolutely beautiful! What a loving and wonderful way for us all to remember her, and you. Thank you so much for sharing this with us.

EarringsandLipstick · 15/08/2023 08:01

Beautiful photo. 💕

I found myself re-reading Pamela's threads about her illness. It seems inconceivable that such a vibrant expressive voice isn't here any longer. If that's how a stranger feels, I can't imagine how it is for you, Kerr, and Jacob. I hope you have much support & love around you.

grass321 · 15/08/2023 08:05

I haven't posted before but have been following Pamela's story. I know one of the consultants you mentioned so I was crossing everything for her London treatment.

Pamela made a big impression on all who read her posts. Truly, her dignity and bravery shone through right to the end.

The photo of Pamela in Regents Park will stay with me for a long time. She must have been in such pain but, despite everything, was still smiling. She was an inspiration and I'm so sorry for you and Jacob.

Elleviss · 15/08/2023 08:56

What a beautiful photo.
Wishing you and Jacob all the best going forward 🙏
