Does anyone have any recent experiences of Kings Fertility for IVF and other fertility treatment? And in particular of Dr Ippokratis Sarris?

Oh well done @Cornwall1988 17 is a great number. I think my afternoon at home afterwards consisted of a dominoes and napping on the sofa. And well deserved too with all of your hard work!

@Nina861 How exciting that you are starting tonight! I hope it goes well.

Not sure if I have a good update from me. I started spotting this AM (8dp5dt) and the cramping has been ramping up as the days have gone on. So I decided to take a rest (equivalent of 13DPO) and it’s a clear positive on a non sensitive test.

Rung the clinic and they said it could still be the trigger. I doubt it very much (line is fairly dark) and given the symptoms I am having I am sure I am pregnant. But not sure where the spotting leaves me. Hasn’t got any heavier but still there - possibly predominantly brown blood but not sure if it’s a bit late for implantation bleeding.

So I am due to come in for a blood test 9am to check my hormone levels. They won’t do it any sooner sadly. So @Nina861 I may see you there on Friday depending in your scan time!

@Pregnant4456 oh that’s amazing news for your positive test but yes, I’m sure it will be unsettling having the spotting and not knowing where that leaves things. Reassuring too that it’s such a dark line. I know they say that spotting can be completely normal but that doesn’t help the ‘what ifs’ in the meantime. I’ll keep everything crossed for you for Friday and hope that the days whizz by!!!

Nina861 · 28/04/2026 16:18

@Pregnant4456 gosh it really is a rollercoaster of emotions, isn't it?! It's amazing news though - I guess it could still well be implantation, especially paired with the cramping and the positive test.
I read somewhere that some people refer to the post transfer and 2WW as PUPO (pregnant until proven otherwise) which I find quite cool and positive mindset to have.
Also 'pupo' is a way of saying 'baby' in Italian - another thing to cling on 🤗

Will be thinking of you on Friday - will they give you the result that day?
My scan is at 11ish but I was planning on getting there earlier to work from there for a bit so I might see you!

Pregnant4456 · 30/04/2026 09:34

@Cornwall1988 and @Nina861 How are you both doing???

My spotting has stopped which is a good sign. Am holding out to do another test tomorrow AM before I head to the clinic. Yes - bloods back same day. I will probably then wait to go for another blood draw until next Tuesday after the BH.

@Nina861 I will be with my son (who is loud) so I will be hard to miss if we are there at the same time! Lol

Nina861 · 30/04/2026 10:12

@Pregnant4456 that's very enouraging about the spotting and great that the results come so quickly! How are you feeling?
I'll certainly look out for you and your son if I get there early enough.

I'm doing well - no difference so far but it's only been 2 days of injections so early days. Let's see what they say tomorrow at the first scan 🤞

Cornwall1988 · 30/04/2026 10:22

Great news that the spotting has stopped @Pregnant4456 ! And also great you can get blood results so quickly. Will be thinking of you tomorrow.

Glad you’re feeling ok so far on the Stims too @Nina861 And good luck for the scan tomorrow. I bet you’ll be pleased to get a glimpse of what’s going on!

Im doing ok though still feeling fairly wiped out from EC. Nothing too bad, just a bit spacey and tired. We had our day 1 update which was 15/17 were mature and 11 have fertilised which they said was the average expected drop down so pleased with that. Day 3 update tomorrow and impatient to know of course! Would be good to have a live cam to keep an eye on them!!

@Pregnant4456 when you did PGT-A, how long was the wait for results? And did they phone you or email you with results?

Nina861 · 30/04/2026 10:43

@Cornwall1988 11 fertilised is a great initial number! 🤞 for the next couple of days. Will they call you over the weekend as well for an update?
I guess it's quite normal to still not feel great after EC. Are you in any discomfort or more generally tired? Made sure you get some proper rest.

sirensong · 30/04/2026 10:44

@Cornwall1988 for me PGTA was about 2 weeks each time. They sometimes say it could be up to 3 weeks but I don't think it ever was. The genetic counsellor calls and the stress of answering and having to quickly give date of birth while trying to assess their voice tone for success or failure is off the scale! They will email results instead by request - I was once overseas in a very different time zone.

Cornwall1988 · 30/04/2026 15:05

Thanks @Nina861 . They’ll phone with an update on Friday (day 3), Sunday (day 5) and Monday (day 6). I was a bit crampy yesterday so kept up the painkillers but mostly just tired today. It’s a relief though to have lost the bloating which I had shortly before EC!

Thanks very much for the PGTA info @sirensong. I’d read between the lines a little and wondered whether although they say up to 3 weeks, it might be a little less. I can imagine the wait for those feels like a long one! Yes, I sometimes can’t pick up the phone at work so an email might be better though I guess it also might be useful to talk through any details say if you get a mosaic or one that’s not a clear euploid. Though again, if they phoned while I was at work, I wouldn’t really be able to have that conversation!

Nina861 · 30/04/2026 15:12

@Cornwall1988 fab that they call you on Sunday as well for an update on how they are developing.
Hopefully the cramping and tiredness will also disappear shortly and you can go back to your normal self 🙂

@sirensong thanks for sharing that info. I'll also do PGTA so good to get a timeframe of the process. Not looking forward to the phonecalls!

Cornwall1988 · 30/04/2026 15:36

@Nina861 thank you! Tbh I think the cramps have pretty much stopped now so just need to shift the foggy head and then I’ll be back to normal!

Good luck for your scan tomorrow!

Nina861 · 30/04/2026 21:22

@Pregnant4456 I now have a call with work before my scan so I will most likely miss you but will be thinking about you!

Pregnant4456 · 01/05/2026 05:56

No sweat @Nina861. Good luck with your scan today. Let us know how you get on and good luck @Cornwall1988 with your day 3 update.

My PGT call was just over 2 weeks I think and can completely relate to the bit when you have to read your birthday out before heading the results!

OTD today and v pleased to have a FRER dye stealer. I am hoping for bloods over 400 so will report back once I get the results (hopefully today).

Nina861 · 01/05/2026 06:59

@Pregnant4456 oh yes that looks like a definite definite positive! Keep us posted later once you get the results!

I'll let you know about my scan - started feeling a bit of bloat and little nausea last night so something is happening but let's see how much is happening.

Nina861 · 01/05/2026 12:00

Just back from my scan. It went ok-ish but not great. At the moment I have 9 follicles - 4 of which are lagging a bit behind.
I know it's early days but I was hoping for a bit better.
I'm back on Monday for another scan to see if those catch up. Meanwhile, I'm starting Fyremadel tomorrow.
I'm out tomorrow night for dinner and then cinema and I usually do the injections at 7pm. I asked if I could delay to a later time in the evening which the nurse said I could, but the consultant said best to do it at the same time so I'll have to take stuff with me in a cool bag I guess.
Have you done injections out of the house when you were doing stims? How did you find it?

Also, strangely, I told her I did both injections at 7pm, one after the other, and she said "oh, you don't wait a bit between the 2?". Ehm, no, the nurse never mentioned about waiting.
Just out of curiosity - did you wait a bit between the 2/3 injections?

Pregnant4456 · 01/05/2026 12:05

@Nina861 try not to be too deflated about it. They tend to lag behind and then catch up. The whole way through my scans they said I was looking at a max of 10 eggs and we got 19 in the end.

In terms of the injections I don’t think I did any out and about but the ones I was using didn’t need to be in the fridge (I think I did injections at 9pm). But if I was out and about I would probably have rather done them whilst out than wait.

I did all of my injections at the same time so I wouldn’t worry about that! Keeping my fingers crossed for you for Monday xx

Nina861 · 01/05/2026 12:22

Thanks @Pregnant4456 , reassuring to hear about your numbers.
I guess in a way it's positive that the majority are growing and something is happening.
Let's see what the situation is on Monday.
Literally nothing I can do apart from keep doing the injection so will just try and stay positive.

It'll be a bit fiddly to the injections while out but I booked these cinema tickets months back so for once I'll have to get a bit organised.

Cornwall1988 · 01/05/2026 13:28

@Nina861 yes try not to worry too much about the numbers at this stage - we were told on day 8 of stims we might have 9 eggs and ended up with 17 so anything can happen. One piece of advice would be to ask them to do a blood test for you around your third scan - this may well be standard protocol but the doctor I saw that day forgot to add it to my notes so I had to ask the admin team to contact the doctor and request it. Anyway, I’m glad they did as the hormone levels shown on the blood test meant they moved EC forwards one day.

For the injections, the nurse told us to do them at the same time each evening and we did them all at home. Were never given any advice about not doing one straight after the other!

We had a good day 3 update - all 11 embryos are still looking good and there’s a potential extra one which is developing slowly so might make it to 12. I know the drop from day 3 to day 5 averages 50-70% but fingers crossed!

Cornwall1988 · 01/05/2026 13:39

@Pregnant4456 that’s great news on your dye stealer test too. Will keep everything crossed for your blood test later too!

Nina861 · 01/05/2026 13:39

@Cornwall1988 good tip about the blood test! I'll try to remember that at the 3rd scan if they don't do it as a standard.
Yeah I was a bit confused about the injections as actually I also just checked again and on the paper with all the dates it doesn't say anything about taking them separately - actually for Fyre it says "at the same time" of the other 2. Who knows! I'll stick to what I've been doing.
I have a small pouch with icepack that I can fill with the one that needs to be cool so it'll be ok for a couple of hours until I do them all at 7pm.

Great little update and hopefully the extra one makes a good comeback! Come on little embryos!

sirensong · 01/05/2026 14:23

@Nina861 you could send a message to the nurses to double check based on your exact medication, but I took mine on holiday one cycle and kept them in the fairly cool marble bathroom as the riad didn't have a fridge. Nurses and pharmacist said fine to be out of fridge for 28 days - so you may not need to cart about a cooler bag. Nor did anyone ask about sharps in hand luggage at either airport (had a letter from King's to explain).

Nina861 · 01/05/2026 14:28

@sirensong that's great to know. I'll email the nurses now. It'd just a couple of hours but yes it might help not having to bring a small cool bag for 2 vials 🤭

Nina861 · 01/05/2026 14:55

@sirensong you were right - the nurse just confirmed Rekovelle can be out of the fridge tomorrow, as long as it's not over 25 degrees. Phew!

Pregnant4456 · 01/05/2026 16:28

Sounds great @Cornwall1988 with your day 3 update. All very encouraging!

My results are in. 682. Very very happy as I think above average for 11dp5dt. The consultant was a bit reluctant to organise a scan for me next Friday to check location before we fly but I pushed for it so that is the next big milestone for us. Although I am tempted to have another blood test on Tuesday. So we will see in the next few days.

Have a lovely evening ladies

Cornwall1988 · 01/05/2026 16:48

That’s brilliant news @Pregnant4456! Bet you are feeling very reassured :) How long are you on holiday for? Would you be away for the usual viability scan they would do? Great that they agreed to an earlier one if you’re not here for that one!
