Anybody else starting or in middle of treatment?

Bit about my experience so far..
My last treatment was in december and had to come to a stop after finding a polyp during the scan. Have since removed the polylp and given the green light to go again. currently on estrodiol and due for a lining thickness scan next week. If all goes to plan I think the frozen transfer will be during 1st wk of april (Fingers X’ed!)

Sending you all positive and sticky vibes!

Good luck @Brownowl83 ❤️

Brownowl83 · 27/05/2025 15:29

Thank you ladies, all is well ❤️ Heartbeat and measurements all where they should be at 6+5 where I'm at today and been discharged. Can't believe it! Still!!

Evi83 · 27/05/2025 15:59

@Brownowl83 Oooh, that's fantastic news! Another milestone reached! Fingers crossed the next few weeks fly by smoothly x

Evi83 · 27/05/2025 16:10

@Brownowl83 ps, I know what you mean about 'can't believe it' - it's just wild to me that this could actually have worked.
Although - i'm definitely having more obvious nausea (still on and off), but more noticeable, and I can't stop eating! (pls send help!)

Brownowl83 · 27/05/2025 16:53

@Evi83 Thank you! There's still some life in these 40+ bodies yet 🥴😂

Honestly on Sunday the nausea hit me from absolutely no where! I've been better each day since but still have a few waves of feeling sick. Not actually sick though thankfully and munching rich tea biscuits has been my saviour 😅😅

Brownowl83 · 27/05/2025 16:54

My clinic have been so lovely and offered a free scan in 2 weeks time which we're having, as otherwise we wouldn't have another until 12 weeks with NHS. I will definitely try and relax a bit more now until then.

Wishing you luck later this week with your scans ladies, keep us posted x

Evi83 · 27/05/2025 18:21

@Brownowl83 thats great you’re getting an extra scan - it’s such a long wait otherwise!

Yay (kind of) for nausea. I know it’s not nice but it is weirdly reassuring. Mine definitely comes and goes.

I’ve had a tiny bit of brown spotting this evening (like minuscule) but I’m worried because it’s almost like that start of a period thing. Got a horrible feeling. Not sure how I’ll last until Thursday. 😭

Brownowl83 · 27/05/2025 18:47

@Evi83 If you're at all worried just call your clinic and speak to a nurse - they're there whenever you need them.

If it's any consolation I carried on spotting and also passing fluid over the weekend with quite severe cramps and they said today that is normal x

Evi83 · 27/05/2025 18:56

Thanks @Brownowl83 that is actually reassuring (and I’m sorry you are still having to go through discomfort of cramps and discharge) x

After the tiny bit of brown watery spotting i had last night / this am, i've just noticed fresh red blood. I think it's probably game over for me. I know there are lots of reasons for bleeding, but it's never a great sign, is it. I have my scan tomorrow afternoon. It just feels like the start of my period today, and I just think I know in my heart that it's not worked out.

jenk91 · 28/05/2025 16:20

@Brownowl83 great news, so pleased for you, and great you get another scan soon!

@Evi83 im really sorry you are bleeding, you are right it can be anything and can be perfectly normal, especially if there are no clots or pain. But I totally get the anxiety, I am keeping everything crossed for you and some good news tomorrow

Brownowl83 · 28/05/2025 19:03

I'm so sorry @Evi83 its all so confusing, luckily you have a scan tomorrow and hopefully its just hormonal changes causing this. I really hope it goes ok, thinking of you X

Evi83 · 28/05/2025 19:09

Thanks both. Had some clots this afternoon too and my back is pretty achy so I think I know what’s coming. Let’s see what tomorrow brings 🙏🏻 Hope you are doing ok @jenk91 x

Foreverhoping33 · 29/05/2025 08:37

Ah @Evi83 sorry to hear you are spotting. Crossing my fingers you get good news today! Xxxc

Evi83 · 29/05/2025 14:11

Had my scan this afternoon, and against all the odds - there was a good heartbeat and it measured exactly right. I have been discharged, and just self-referred to Kings. They had no particular explanation for the bleeding but said it was really normal. It only lasted 10 mins, and there hasn't been any sign since. I am in disbelief. I was 100% convinced it was over. My oh and I spent all of last night and this morning being totally miserable. I think I will be in disbelief until January. I just cannot believe we would be this lucky. Hope you are all doing well. What a wild wild ride. (and thank you so much for all your well wishes - there are few people who understand what we go through) x

Brownowl83 · 29/05/2025 17:58

Amazing @Evi83 ❤️ So happy for you.

You can breathe a big sigh of relief and enjoy the moment, and let it all sink in ✨

My referral came in less than 24 hours from completing the forms so hopefully the same for you X

Evi83 · 29/05/2025 18:03

@Brownowl83 Thank you. 🙏🏻 My referral came about ten mins after submitting the forms! Clearly it was a low referral day and someone was just desperate for something to do….. Next scan booked in for 27th June (tho oh is away so will have to rebook) and midwife appointment for the 11th. It’s all so fast!

Brownowl83 · 29/05/2025 18:09

Great news, not too long!

My midwife appt is 18th June, 12 weeks scan on 7th July.

Did anyone's clinic mention private NIPT testing before you were discharged? Were considering it due to our ages and embryo wasn't tested. Anyone else?

The NHS blood test is basic then depending on scores they do NIPT but before 14 weeks i think

Evi83 · 30/05/2025 19:11

No, we they didn’t mention NIPT. I definitely had something done on the NHS last time (because of my age, and something they saw on the scan). Then we had the CVS test at 12 weeks (massive needle through the belly - joys!). But no other tests I don’t think other than standard bloods.
Are you thinking of getting it done @Brownowl83 ? I may ask the midwife at booking apt?

Evi83 · 30/05/2025 19:13

Ps @Brownowl83 embryo wasn’t tested either. Does NIPT negate the need for to e more invasive CVS testing then?

Lostmyusernametoday · 30/05/2025 21:57

@Evi83 ao sorry you went through all that! How scary - so glad it all turned out well 😊. Sorry for the delay I’m away on hols

Brownowl83 · 31/05/2025 00:07

Evi83 · 30/05/2025 19:13

I've done some research, you get the basic blood test with the NHS then, results dependant, they then will do the NIPT. But this is a bit later as if you pay privately you can have the NIPT from 10 weeks.

Then at the 12 week scan they do the fluid measurements and if anything comes up they then recommend he needle tests. Dont quote me but this is my understanding!

Were getting it done privately, we decided earlier x

Evi83 · 31/05/2025 06:49

@Lostmyusernametoday no worries & thanks. Hope you had a nice break and all is going well xx

@Brownowl83 thank you for this that’s helpful. I’ll discuss with my oh. We may go for it too. 12 week scan, needles and subsequent wait last time was rubbish so any clarity we can get before this would be good!! Good luck with yours x
