Hi all I thought I would create a thread for our BFPs after IVF.

A bit about me: 34 years old (35 next month)
2x failed transfers and 1x failed to thaw
BFP with this little blub. Scan date 7th of February (will be 6wks1day)🎊
Here's to continuous panicking 🤪

@Feliciacat I still check for updates. For myself, I’m in the awkward 15 week stage where my symptoms have eased and my stomach is kind of flat but I’m pregnant so feel like abit of an imposter. I understand where you’re coming from though and hope you enjoy the rest of your pregnancy ❤️

Waitingformystork · 11/05/2025 13:55

Hi, I still like seeing the updates. I haven't felt like I could post my own recently though, as I thought it would be distasteful when some are going through such a hard time and have very valid concerns.

But if people are interested I'm 16 weeks. My belly definitely popped last week! Which I was surprised about, I thought it wouldn't happen until about 20 weeks. And I felt my first baby flutter yesterday, which was exciting :)

Daniki · 11/05/2025 19:50

@Hopefullyonedaysoon glad to hear all went well!

god I never get notifications for this anymore, just happened to check.
I am 16+4, and I am miserable 🤣 iv had such bad headaches, migraines and nausea since 10
weeks. And I feel such guilt for feeling miserable as iv tried for 3 years for Baby no 2. But anyway hope it lifts soon! Also can feel the anxiety kicking in too so can’t wait for next scan 🙌🏻

bluebella2 · 11/05/2025 22:57

@Waitingformystork silly question but how do you know when it's the babies you feel?

I'm 16w4 and not sure.

I had my gender scan and it's a boy and girl 🩷💙🩷💙

Waitingformystork · 11/05/2025 23:18

@bluebella2 congratulations on your little boy and girl!

I think it's the baby, as it felt like a muscle spasm but in a weird place, low down in my groin and to the right hand side. It also lasted a while, stopped and started over several minutes. It was after I'd had some biscuits and a squash, and I've read that sugar can make the babies more active. I also googled what I was feeling and other people had said it felt like a muscle twitching for them as well, so I'm fairly convinced it was the baby! Although I haven't felt it again since

bluebella2 · 12/05/2025 22:31

@Waitingformystork interesting I have some pulsing sensations here and there so maybe it's the babies ☺️ I just don't know

@Daniki i hope you start to feel better soon❤️

Daniki · 13/05/2025 11:55

@bluebella2 thank you, and how lovely a boy and a girl!! :)

Daniki · 19/05/2025 08:35

Anyone getting any movements yet? Thought I felt something on Saturday but not sure now. Otherwise defo not. I remember what it felt like the first time I was pregnant and that happened around 23 weeks, I had anterior placenta then. Don’t know if I have it now no one has said it yet and I haven’t had my 20 week scan (I’m 18 weeks on wed) trying not to dwell on it too much 🙈 thankfully have an app Thursday week so they should do a quick scan at it 🙌🏻

Waitingformystork · 19/05/2025 11:41

@daniki I felt movements at 16+2, but I haven't felt anything since, which is worrying me. I'm now 17+3. I'm trying not to worry as I know they won't be regular for a while, but it's hard not to

Daniki · 19/05/2025 11:44

@Waitingformystork thats normal though going by all my googling 🙈 a lot of women have been the same only noticing it once and then it not been regular for a few weeks! When’s your next app?

That's reassuring! I haven't stumbled on that myself when searching, just that it'll be irregular until 20-24 weeks. My next appointment isn't until our 20 week scan on the 10th June, and that feels ages away 😢

Daniki · 19/05/2025 12:22

@Waitingformystork i know it feels ages! mine is the 18th il be 22 weeks. but thankfully i have a consultant app thursday weeks im high risk and they generally scan you at every app, i will make them anyway as i can feel the anxiety creeping in wondering if everything is ok or not! yep iv genuinely seen that on a few threads on here and reddit with the same thing as you so try not worry!

Hi all,

I've recently had my 20 week scan - it showed that I have a fibroid, measuring about 2 x 3cm in size. The sonographer didn't say much, other than to 'be aware of it'.

Obviously I cam home and googled it!

Just wondering whether anyone else has experienced this, and whether IVF hormone meds (I took progynova, lubion and estrogen up to 12 weeks pregnant) can create/make fibroids grow?

I find it strange that despite having numerous internal scans and tests that it didn't show up before?

I'm having an elective c-section (for different reasons) so also wondering whether a) it might be reason to have the section slightly earlier, maybe around 38 weeks, and b) whether the fibroid can be removed during the section?

Sorry to hear about the fibroid, but I hope everything else seemed OK with the baby otherwise!

I can't give much medical advice, but when I was reading about fibroids impacting fertility I thought they could affect the chances of an embryo implanting. I don't know what affect they can have whilst you are pregnant. It sounds like the sonographer wasn't too worried about it, but noting that it's there.

Daniki · 29/05/2025 11:24

@HopefulSiblingi would be on the same wavelength as you, i reckon the estrogen would be the cause. But good they’re aware of it and you’re having an elective as they will remove it then. My friend had one aswell and didn’t even know and they removed it during her section, she was wondering what was taking them so long to sew her up 😂 pretty common tho so try not dwell on it.

had an app with consultant today, im 19
weeks, and had a scan too and greet to see baby moving about as I’m having movements but in no way regular so trying not to let the anxiety creep in! My 20 week scan isn’t for another 3 weeks il be 22 weeks! Im also going to be having an elective section, was hoping for a VBAC but always a long shot as I broke my pelvis a few years ago and have a complex surgical history!

Daniki · 24/06/2025 11:47

Hi ladies, wondering how everyone is? 23 weeks tomorrow, cant believe it. getting my hols from work on thurs (work in a school) and it cant come quick enough, i fairly feel the difference in the pregnancy at this age (36) than my first (31)! my body is aching 😆

bluebella2 · 24/06/2025 21:05

@Daniki how are you? I'm good. 23 weeks tomorrow! I'm doing ok but I got Covid last week so im feeling out of breath 🥹 i also feel really heavy! I've officially added a fifth of my own weight!

Daniki · 24/06/2025 21:17

@bluebella2oh no sorry to hear that I hope it’s not a bad dose 🙏 probably out of breath anyway without adding Covid! I know I’m always breathless 🙈 same with the heaviness, I feel like I should be way further on with how I feel and they did say baby was measuring big at my anatomy scan!

bluebella2 · 24/06/2025 23:12

@Daniki IVe heard that ivf babies tend to measure a little further ahead. I've been told twin A is median percentile and twin b is upper 🙂 I'm going to be huge!!

I'm not sure how you all feel but it's still all very surreal for me. I'm totally used to being pregnant but the thought of being a mum still doesn't feel real. Maybe because the journey getting here was so hard I still can't imagine it happening

Daniki · 25/06/2025 00:22

@bluebella2omg I forgot you were having twins! 😂 well god you must feel heavy if you feel like me with only one 😂 yea I find it very hard to picture the end aswell but we’ll get there! Still find I’m a bit superstitious and won’t buy much yet even tho I’m 23 weeks 😂 I had my earphones in to help me fall asleep but my husband scared the life out of me when he was getting into bed and poor baby must of got a fright too can feel them hopping about now 😂🙈

bluebella2 · 25/06/2025 23:22

@Daniki that's so funny to think they can hear us now! Mike you I haven't started much but I think I really should soon. I think I'll get to a point that I'm too big 😂 my ankles are swollen tonight and that feels way to early

Daniki · 26/06/2025 08:04

@bluebella2 not a bit plus the heat atm will be adding to it! I find on the hot days I’m swelling too! I know isn’t it 😂 I try and talk to bump but feel so silly 😂😂

Daniki · 11/07/2025 20:51

So Iv been admitted to hospital with PPROM, my waters broke last night 😭 not fully gone thankfully cervix closed and no pain so hoping baby stays in a bit longer. Im 25 +2. Also being in the hospital in this heat is cruel 🙈

Hopefullyonedaysoon · 11/07/2025 22:41

Oh gosh @Daniki I hope you are doing ok, as well as you can be. Sounds positive cervix is closed. Are they just going to keep you in now and monitor?
