A bit about me: 34 years old (35 next month)
2x failed transfers and 1x failed to thaw
BFP with this little blub. Scan date 7th of February (will be 6wks1day)🎊
Here's to continuous panicking 🤪

@Waitingformystorkhow exciting and won’t be long coming round 🥰

@OneWaryCatgreat you had a positive one, I feel more relaxed now after mine, I have my proper booking app on the 28th so be great to see baby again!

Daniki · 16/04/2025 11:42

Anyone find their sickness is worse at these later stages? I’m 13 weeks today and honestly the last few days iv been feeling awful, sick morning to night ! Definitely the worst it’s been so far 🤢 thank god I’m on Easter hols!

Scoobywho24 · 16/04/2025 15:57

@Daniki ive been physically sick the most this week (12) than any week. I’ve been dry wretching and gagging all over the place 😮‍💨

Daniki · 16/04/2025 16:13

@Scoobywho24its awful! Wonder why that is 🙈 just so glad to be off work I couldn’t function at all!

Scoobywho24 · 16/04/2025 16:45

@Daniki i read that hcg levels are at their highest around now before they start to go down. But there isn’t much research to prove hcg causes it. It’s horrible!

Daniki · 16/04/2025 16:47

@Scoobywho24i thought I was out of the woods as it was starting to ease last week just to come back with a bang! I think maybe around 14-16 weeks it will hopefully lesson 🙏🙏 we can hope!

OneWaryCat · 16/04/2025 16:48

Oh dear that's miserable! I'm a day ahead of you @Daniki - 13 + 1!

I've actually been feeling ok this past week and find I am hungry all the time. Keep having 2 breakfasts.

Hoping to have a bit more energy now as things progress. I went to reformer pilates today. Took it quite easy but it was nice to do some stretching and move a bit.

Still serious after my bleed but my pessaries are helping with thar, psychologically and hopefully psychically!

Daniki · 16/04/2025 16:56

@OneWaryCatdid you have any more bleeding since then? So traumatic tho. Good you’re feeling well and that, I’d love to get out for a nice walk or something! I did go through that phase of non stop eating aswell 🤣

OneWaryCat · 16/04/2025 17:04

@Daniki no, only bled really heavily that morning at 11 weeks and that was it.

Sorry didn't mean to write 'still serious after my bleeding', think I put 'nervous' and it autocorrected!

No sign of any blood or hematoma at my 12 week scan so can try relax a bit now if possible!

Off to Italy in 2 weeks so looking forward to being a pregnant mama and hopefully blooming in some summer dresses rather than still trying to hide my bump from my team at work who I am not quite ready to tell.

Daniki · 16/04/2025 17:07

@OneWaryCatoh fab! Think of all the pizza and pasta 🍝 😍 when do you plan on telling work? I told mine on Friday just when we got our Easter hols! Oh great there was no sign of it, hopefully just a freaky one off!

OneWaryCat · 16/04/2025 18:04

@Daniki I think I'll tell them when I am back from holiday when I am 17/18 weeks. Mainly because someone new joined my team this week and I didn't want to be like 'welcome, I'll be off on mat leave in 6 months'. Want them to settle in a bit first!

My boss has known from the start as she has been super supportive of the IVF and letting me take time off for treatment and scans etc. I even got a promotion/pay rise confirmed during the whole process so she's an absolute babe really x

Daniki · 16/04/2025 22:24

@OneWaryCatoh that’s great, so nice to have a supportive boss! I think that’s a nice time to tell them. I would love to be going on hols! ❤️

HopefulSibling · 17/04/2025 05:12

I’m now 15w5d and currently half way through a 10 day holiday abroad… having the opposite ‘problem’ - not feeling any nausea, and it’s concerning me! My boobs don’t feel as sensitive either. Everything has been good up until now though, so trying hard to focus on that! Plus we have a private gender scan a couple of days after we get home, at 17 weeks, so haven’t got too long to wait to see baby again.

I definitely remember feeling the nausea around weeks 12/13 though, and being surprised it was still there then! The nausea end is in sight ladies!

Feliciacat · 17/04/2025 13:35

My 12 week scan went fine although they couldn’t get a good image. That’s ok though because my private scan at 11 weeks looked great. Baby is one day behind.

I got my NIPT results and there’s <1/10000 for Down’s, Edward’s and Patau syndromes and there are no abnormalities on any other chromosome pair. Also, it’s a boy! I’m so excited!

I hope everyone has a lovely Easter weekend xxx

Daniki · 17/04/2025 15:12

@HopefulSiblingtry not an stress all my friends have assured me this ends around 13/14 weeks so hoping 🤞🏻 defo wasn’t anywhere as sick on my first pregnancy, I have a very easy pregnancy as they go(apart from my Crohn’s flare and surgery) 🤣 not be long too your next scan ❤️

@Feliciacataw how lovely a wee boy ❤️ at my 13 weeks scan the sonographer asked did I mind if she took a guess, and she guessed girl. Said she would be very surprised if it was a boy! Would love if she’s right so I can have one of each ❤️ but we said we wouldn’t find out so il not know for definite until d day 🤣

Feliciacat · 17/04/2025 15:37

Aww congratulations on your probable girl @Daniki! Thank you for your kind words. Sorry about your Crohn’s flare up; are you doing ok at the moment?

@HopefulSiblingI haven’t been too nauseous throughout my pregnancy and my boobs feel fine now; they’re just massive. I think symptoms come and go naturally so try not to worry (easier said than done I know)!

Waitingformystork · 17/04/2025 20:08

@Feliciacat congratulations on your little boy! I'm surprised they can tell the sex that early. Did you find out from the private scan?

I had my 12 week scan today, and it was surreal seeing the baby. I couldn't really believe that was in me. The midwife said my bladder was too full to see clearly, and asked I empty half of it. But that's a hard thing to do! When I came back she said it was still too full. Although the image was clear enough for us, and we got a good picture.

We've told the rest of my family, and our friends today, which has been lovely. I've found out one of my friends is also pregnant and due a few days before me!

Feliciacat · 17/04/2025 20:11

Aww thank you! Through private NIPT testing then you can find out the gender from ten weeks so that’s how I know :) I don’t think most scans could tell the gender that early as you say.

That must be lovely to tell all your loved ones! I have a friend who had a son today and we hope our sons will be friends. Maybe you and your friend’s baby can be close too. Yay!

bluebella2 · 17/04/2025 22:28

I had my scan today 13+1! Both twins are measuring ahead and doing well! I can't believe it 🥹 I'm definitely going for a private scan to find out gender

OneWaryCat · 18/04/2025 09:03

I don't think we will find out gender as we both have a preference (I know we shouldn't, we're lucky to even have any healthy baby). I think finding out on the day will be better for us as I wouldn't want to overthink it in advance. I also think that if we knew gender we might settle on a name and I'd rather wait and see what they 'look' like.

Daniki · 18/04/2025 10:45

@Feliciacatyea I’m grand now thankfully.

@Waitingformystorkah lovely to see isn’t it!

@bluebella2twins, fab!

does anyone have pelvic pressure? Been having it since yesterday it’s not really intense but it’s there. Freaking me out a bit and iv had an awful migraine all night, all worrying me that I’m heading for doom & gloom 🙈

Daniki · 19/04/2025 09:21

anyone have any issues coming off estrogen? I weaned off it this week and having terrible migraine since Thursday, assuming it’s from this as I normally suffer migraines around my period from the drop in estrogen 🙈

Feliciacat · 19/04/2025 09:26

Hi Daniki! I’ve had some pelvic pressure at 12 weeks so I’m thinking it must be normal. I wasn’t bothered anyway!

I haven’t come off oestrogen as I wasn’t on it but I’ll come off progesterone next week. Headaches are very common when hormone levels change. However, I have also had headaches due to high blood pressure. Can you get yours checked just in case? Hope you feel better soon.

Daniki · 19/04/2025 14:15

i had mine checked last week and will have it checked again now at my booking app, I suffer with them fairly regularly anyway so it’s not a massive change but very annoying 🙈 the pressure has gone thankfully but defo feeling it around my pelvis. Had PGP in first pregnancy, I broke my pelvis a year before that 🙈

Feliciacat · 19/04/2025 20:15

Oh gosh! That must be a risk factor for PGP if you’ve broken your pelvis previously. You poor thing. I hope it’s not so bad this time around.

Also, invaluable to me (if you’re concerned about blood pressure) has been a monitor for at home use. You can get them off Amazon for about £30-50.
