Anyone starting next month? I'll be on my 4th cycle. I've just bought 2 cycles with manchester fertility and it will be me done. I'm 36, have a low amh of 5.2 and afc 10. I'm doing the estrogen priming protocol so will take estrogen tablets for 7 days starting from day 21. I then take 450 meriofert. I'm not sure whether I am excited or nervous. It has been a year since my last cycle and I'm going to struggle with another loss but wanted to get started again also. No children yet and over 3 years trying. Have blocked tubes and endo xx

Continue until Tuesday , tbf it would be even worse without the progesterone so I’ll continue

the pain is horrendous but it’s been bad the whole way through .. makes me wonder if they should of just done a frozen !

think I’ll have a rest & have a month of pill calm down my endo

Hi everyone.

Had a scan today and we've been told to trigger on Sunday and egg collection booked for Tuesday. Got a bit overwhelmed and had a little cry at the clinic. All feeling very real now. Feel slightly thrown as was told it might be a freeze all cycle but the nurse wasn't sure, she was just assuming, and then she then said I'd find out after egg collection. No one has mentioned this to me at all so I'm just wondering what is going on. And trying to plan my life a bit! I guess in this process we can't and have to just go with the flow and be on standby for what the clinic want to do.

RE egg collection - how long was everyone at the clinic for? I'm not sure how long the whole thing takes and need to arrange some 'puppy care' for my dog whilst I'm in.

we got to clinic for 8.30 and was ready to leave around 12.30 . I got a call the next day then they updated me morning of day 5 just to get consent on what to freeze etc . Day 4 they called just to tell me what time to come but no updates re embryos

@OneWaryCat that's what happened to me this time, got told by the nurse that's what they'd probably recommend, I'd never heard of it before. Turns out it was a good shout though, at least in my case.
Similar to @Rebekah77 we got there for 7:30 and were home by 11:30. I was up first though.

@OneWaryCat exciting that you are ready to go in for collection. I was so scared before mine but honestly it’s over so quickly. I went in at 8.30 and was out by 11.30 but again I was first up.

When you are counting days post transfer is day 1 the day after they’ve implanted it or day of?

Hi all - may I join in please? I’m on my 4th day of stims.
This is my 7th IVF, had DD from attempt #5 which was 6 years ago now… I totally forgot what a fresh cycle is and the stress of all the injections :(
I’m 37 now and the doses of meds is so much higher - I’m on 300 meriofert now and last fresh cycle I was on 125/150 on the same cycle day.
Anyone else is on high doses? V worried…

It's my first cycle so my drugs are 225 gonal F and only 75 Meriofert but I'm sure they do it based on your previous responses to stims so I would try not to worry too much. How are you feeling? Any side effects? I've not had many except a few headaches from being dehydrated although I noticed yesterday one of my nipples is really sore and extended. Guessing it must be related?

I am triggering tonight for egg collection on Tuesday. Feeling quite nervous about it but trying to keep my mind occupied elsewhere when I can.

Yes, amh is 17.7pmol - they did not comment whether it’s low or not, and now I’m getting increasingly worried.

They haven't been too specific about numbers but they said they'd expect around 10-15 with the amount of follicles I have. And then it obviously depends on how mature they are etc. I'm 37 and my amh is in the normal range (although at the lower end of normal) - it's my husband who has poor sperm so we are classed as 'male factor' and doing ICSI.

I think that is normal. My amh is 10 and I'm 37. They seemed to think it was fine.

Same for us - also “male factor” and also supposedly ICSI (this time they will decide on the day as his semen analysis is borderline this time, last time was defo ICSI).

They mentioned ICSI to us at our first appointment and haven't since, and my husband hasn't had a semen analysis in ages so I am slightly nervous that we don't fully know what the plan is for egg collection day. I'm hoping it's all fully spelt out to us and agreed when we arrive!

@Nobodyknowsitall5 Great that you're starting stims this week. How was the oestrogen priming? I'm on day 18 (!!!!) of stims as the oestrogen priming & lower stims dose means the follicle growth has been slower than before - apparently its quite normal. However things are moving and the priming has helped with even growth.... I have another scan tomorrow and if all goes to plan, collection could be on Friday.

@NadiaSeq I have low AMH and have previously been on 450IU of Bemfola / Gonal f. This time around I'm on 200IU pergoveris. It might be that your clinic wants to start you on 300IU to get things moving and then if things are moving too quickly, they'll adjust. So I wouldn't worry :)

Anyone who is taking progesterone pessaries is it normal to feel absolutely exhausted? I'm normally always doing something but for the last few days it's been a struggle to even complete one job a day. I was wondering if it was the sedation from Wednesday at first but surely that's out of my system by now!

Oh also sorry I am not sure how to edit my message but I'm also wondering if it's affected anyone's temperature control? I am freezing all the time, my hands and nose are like ice despite having the heating on. Maybe that's because I'm not moving around as much as usual though?

@emeraldhope I’ve been feeling the same. Absolutely wiped out and keeping my feet warm has been a struggle. My hot water bottle has been working overtime! I feel like the progesterone really hit yesterday and now my boobs are killing me as well. How are you feeling since your transfer? All being well mine should be tomorrow.

In terms of ICSI vs IVF I was told that they would determine which to do on the day and then after the collection we had a chat with one of the embryologists and she told us they were going for IVF based on my eggs/husbands sperm looking ‘normal’. I don’t really remember the conversation because I was still loopy from sedation though - this is mainly what my husband relayed!

@emeraldhope Im absolutely pooped all the time and wake up tired and feel zapped of energy all day long. Also have been struggling to sleep but maybe that’s just the anxiety of the 2WW.

@Nobodyknowsitall5 feeling okay at the moment, thank you. I have 3 follicles at the moment. Previous cycles I got 4, 2, and 1. So 3 isn't too bad for me! Just hope none drop off before collection X
