@camelinastorm I hope it all goes well for you, I booked through Airbnb and have found a penthouse 4 minutes from the clinic in LefkoÅŸa have a look on there. How long have you been told you have to stay in cyprus? Are you using your own eggs? Who is your coordinator? Have you booked your flights? Where do you live? Xx

camelinastorm · 06/03/2024 18:04

@Bubble37 oh penthouse sounds great, the local cuisine in north Cyprus is lush and the area has things to do.
We are using own eggs, staying over there for 3/4 weeks as visiting friends, we recently moved from Cyprus so doing a multi trip, friends, holiday and treatment. Have you booked all your flights and bits ? I have been told they are sending the meds, I was slightly confused though so do they post the meds or just a prescription? Looking forward to starting again, just wish it would hurry up

Bubble37 · 06/03/2024 18:49

@camelinastorm That's great to here, have you had ivf before? Did it work? Yes flights all booked, accommodationand hire car fron lanarca airport eurocar, we fligh out the 8th july from birmingham. They sent me a prescription then I emailed my prescription over to a pharmacy that they recommended. Once I sent over the prescription and paid I recieved them next day. Are medication will be different as I'm not using my eggs like you. What is cyrus like in the area where the clinic is? As are accommodation is really close to the clinic. Another question please if you don't mind, when looking on the map from lanarca airport to the clinic it shows a red routed line with a dollor sign I hope you can travel through there. I'm hoping it will work 1st time for me as in 2012 I suffered an ectopic ruptured pregnancy and because I was left for so long I had to have my tubes removed so this is why I need ivf, but not just that my AMH levels are extremely low for my age and donor is my only option. X I know times really dragging now since I booked.

Bubble37 · 06/03/2024 18:52

@camelinastorm I mean euro sign. Do you recommend using card or cash? And is it all euros in cyprus? X

camelinastorm · 06/03/2024 19:25

@Bubble37 so if you are landing in larnaka this is republic of Cyprus, the clinic is in the northern occupied side of Cyprus, your Google maps should take you over the Kermia tossing check point boarder. The only problem you may have is hire car companies do not let you take a hire car from the south to the north, also once at the boarder you have to buy insurance... It's worthless basically just a money thing, think it's €20 to cross valid for 1 month. The € is just showing there is a cash point there. In the republic of Cyprus (south/ larnaka) it's euros in the north it's Turkish lira or euro, the main supermarkets are lira as that's the official currency. I hope this makes sense I can answer anything else you may need.
I have had IVF in the UK (failed) I was supposed to have it in Cyprus but then COVID hit and then life got in the way so here we are returning to do what we started 4 years ago

Bubble37 · 06/03/2024 21:11

@camelinastorm Thankyou sp much I've just had to cancel the hire car as it does not allow me to cross the boarder to North were I need to be. Can I get a taxi from lanarca airport to my apartment in the north? And a taxi back from the clinic to lanarca airport when I leave? Maybe its worth hiring a car in North Cyprus and not crossing the boarder only to get there and return for flight?

camelinastorm · 06/03/2024 21:15

@Bubble37 yeh it's very confusing technically 2 different countries, if you ask the clinic they may organise a lift for you from the airport, hire cars in the north are cheep and easy to get hold of you can drive all over the north, the pan handle so like right at the top north east is beautiful to drive to. This would be an easier and tbh cheeper option for you, at least it was rectified before you get there as that would be a nightmare. They accept card in most places, revoult and Monzo are great exchange rates

camelinastorm · 06/03/2024 21:24

@Bubble37 out of curiosity as you are ahead of me, what costs have you had to pay out for meds, prescriptions etc

Ken74 · 06/03/2024 21:26

Hi, just thought I'd pop on with some info about my experience. I have been twice now to Miracle Hospital and would recommend getting a taxi from Larnaca airport and stay in the north. We stayed in Kyrenia - close the centre, which is nicer than north Nicosia imo. There are lots of hotels or self catering apartments. I booked on Booking.com. We hired a car and drove to the clinic which is about a 30 minutes drive and you can have the car to do some touristy stuff as well if you want. I would recommend staying in the north so you dont have to cross the border everytime you go to the clinic. You can visit the south easily enough on foot if you want. We did this by driving and parking near the border that you can walk across. It was a good experience.

Bubble37 · 06/03/2024 21:31

@camelinastorm, So I've paid £190 for my medication to use while I'm here
£1160 for the return flights for 11 days
£560 for 11 day penthouse on Airbnb
No payment to the clinic until I get there
Then when I get to the clink I've got to pay
€300 for blood tests for me and hubby
€5500 for ivf with donor eggs/embro glue
€190 medication
€1400 for medication after embro transfer
Acupuncture before and after embroy transfer €?

Bubble37 · 06/03/2024 21:34

@Ken74
Did you have success, yes I'm staying in North LefkoÅŸa right next to the clinic, I booked on Airbnb

Ken74 · 06/03/2024 21:39

I was successful the first time but miscarried at 10 weeks but unsuccesful the 2nd time. We are going back soon though for our 3rd fet.

camelinastorm · 06/03/2024 21:43

@Ken74 sorry to hear this, glad you are going back though for a fet, when are you going back. We are staying in the south but have a car over there so will be using this

@Bubble37 oh wow didn't realise the cost of the meds after I'm intrigued what they are , mine in the UK were about £500 but this was pessaries and tablets, maybe they use injections

Bubble37 · 06/03/2024 21:51

@Ken74 I'm sorry to here your news, wish you all the best next time round, x sending you loads of baby dust.

@camelinastorm I had tablets and 1 injection,
The medication after is progesterone injections to help keep the pregnancy and some others, this is a 12 week supply

camelinastorm · 06/03/2024 21:54

@Bubble37 ah yes so in the UK it was progesterone pesserys and tablets so obviously cheeper than injections hoping this change in protocol for me helps x

camelinastorm · 09/03/2024 14:51

Anyone had a price for the stimulation meds Ive been quoted (from a UK company using a cy prescription) £3500 just for one lot of the injections then a further £800 for cetrodide

@Bubble37 thank you managed to get them for a much better price, now to try to get microgynon 🙄 my GP is being funny and will only prescribe the mini pill and don't think progesterone only will work, all meds sat in the fridge ready for 6 weeks time, thaks for all the information @Bubble37

Bubble37 · 27/03/2024 00:42

@camelinastorm I couldn't get microgynon either I just brought it online just type it in in Google and there's plenty of online pharmacy's.

@camelinastorm

How is your treatment going, due to fly in 4 weeks. Please let me know how you get on and how embroy tranfer went x

Gkb90 · 11/07/2024 03:02

Hi all, jumping on this thread as I’ve contacted this clinic for information regarding IVF using my own eggs. How is everyone getting on and are you happy with the level of care they provide?
are you all starting your meds here then flying out, have you been to clinic before agreeing to start? x
