ABC - FET due to oestrogen levels

Hi everyone
I have been chatting in another ABC thread but don't want to take over the chat with this new query I have.

I'm just coming to the end of my stims (trigger tonight) and having egg collection on Monday. My oestrogen levels have shot up and I have to have a frozen transfer (nurse said if it wasn't for covid I could have had fresh but they have lower thresholds in place at the moment).

My questions are basically about the process. We obviously paid the £2500 inclusive price. We had already paid an extra £995 for freezing embryos with the hope we get some for future use, we now have to pay £1050 extra for the frozen transfer plus we have to pay for more meds (nurse said tablets) anyone had to do this and can tell me what they paid so I have an idea please?

I'm assuming we can go ahead with the FET my next cycle? Can anyone give me any insight into the process/procedure/timescales please? I'm unfortunately one of those people who like a clear plan in their head.

I had tingly sensations in my belly on the day of transfer and the day after. Two days after transfer was when i got the brown spotting and bubbles in my belly, then day four and five struggling to stay awake. stinging boobs started four days and have stayed as a symptom xxx

Really nice to talk to people who have just been through this so thank you so much for the info 🥰. I'm gonna try talking to the embryo Aswell ♥️ . My blood test day is 24th May - i have 2 weekends to get through. I have tears thinking about the journey so far.

Hey @StarryHannah. I'm alright thank you. I don't have any symptoms except the random tingle here and there. Yesterday I had one stringy brown blood come out with the pessary wax so I called the clinic they said it's normal and can be irritation. I was worried the embryo fell out or something . I feel like the pessary is so messy. How do you cope with it? Do you lay down for a while with it? How are you feeling?

Oh did you have a lot of cervical mucus after transfer?

@Mellow89 the day after transfer I only had the odd tingle too.

I found after the transfer I started to get q load of cervical mucus/discharge (especially at night). I Lay down for half hour after each pessary and use panty liners. I think it's a good sign! Xxx

@Mellow89 that’s strange I had that on the 2nd day put a pessarie up and brown string stuff came out and same I was convinced it was the embryo so was my partner x

Pessaries are so horrible to put up go everywhere don’t they

@Preston12 oh I'm definitely getting worried now. No symptoms all weekend aswel 😞

I had symptoms so I wouldn’t let that worry you I no people have no symptoms and they have had some positive hun so dont worry everyone is completely different I don’t no if them pessaries are good for some people or not to be honest x

Trying to stay positive.. but it's quite hard! Did the clinic tell you what the brown stringy stuff was? They told me it was normal?

@Mellow89 I didn’t ring them silly I no but wouldn’t of made any difference I don’t think a embryo Would come out like that anyway I’ve googled it so don’t panick hun but I no how you feel as I felt the same I think I put the pessarie in wrong or something to be fair it never felt like I was doing it right x good luck when do you find out

I started my injections yesterday I hate them so horrible to do I find don’t no y I have blood test and scan tomz x

@Preston12 I'm good ta. Just finding I have less energy and still have stingy boobs. I'm so glad you have made the start with this cycle. Let us know how your scan and tests go tomorrow xxx

Hello everyone, I am a bit worried after reading this thread so would really appreciate any thoughts from you. I had a freeze all cycle and my egg collection was May 12th. As I wasn't expecting FET I asked my consultant what the next steps are and he said to contact him on my next period, which came on 17th (had no idea about withdrawal bleeds I just thought it was an early early period due to all the hormones and stuff). So I messaged my consultant and he didn't reply for 3 days and then I finally got hold of him yesterday and he told me to start 4 x 2mg progynova tablets and go for a scan on 1st June.
I'm pleased to be back at it all so quickly but now I am scared it's too soon and something bad might happen to me. I feel fine but now I am super worried xxx

@StrongEagle please don't worry. The same happened to me and I felt like my body was relaxed and refreshed for the transfer. As an idea of timescales for you ... i had collecting on 21st March and transfer on 27th April. It was successful xxx

@StarryHannah thank you!! It was so so lovely to read your journey and I am keeping everything crossed I have a similar one x I'm super worried I have started my cycle on the post EC bleed and not my actual period but I suppose you just have to put your trust in the dr x x

@StarryHannah hey started injection Wednesday bemfola had scan and bloods Friday my follicles are already racing so I didn’t start cetrotide till this morning got bloods and scan again tomz so see how it’s all doing x crazy

@StrongEagle yes definitely having trust in the doctors. Mellow and I found out that our docs/nurses had slightly different protocols too as they originally wanted Mellow to wait a month longer than I needed to xxx

@StarryHannah hey how you doing I am having my last injection today of bemfola egg collection is Saturday but have to have a frozen one I have ohss and am so uncomfortable apparently my bloods r really high 8793 odd I had it last time and felt so unwell but fingers crossed I don’t get to bad and egg collection goes ok x

@Preston12 hiya I'm good ta. I've been quite unwell with a heavy cold ... not sure if it's affected me more as I'm pregnant? I've forced myself into school too which isn't doing me any favours. I'm sorry to hear you're unwell with ohss 😢 It's horrible isn't it. But at least freeze all will give your body time to recover and be fully prepared for your embryo ❤

@Preston12 scan is next Tuesday. I saw doc thurs and then phoned nhs direct last night who made me an appt with out of hours in hospital. Blood pressure was a little high and my urine showed white blood cells and protein but they told me to see if the water infection improves on it's own or if it worsens seek advice xxx
