Our old clomid thread is no longer allowing new comments, and it's taken me 24 hours and multiple failed comments to understand why - we filled it up So thought I'd start a new one...

@girlrunningoncheese CD12 and I usually ovulate cd 13 or 14 so seems to be on track but then it does every month😩 just got to keep positive 5th round of clomid so only one more after if this month doesn't work x

girlrunningoncheese · 15/08/2019 16:08

@AmyMaria2 I know exactly how you feel - Clomid round 2 of 3 for me so you start wondering what happens next if no BFP...I think for me it will be testing my tubes but hopefully it won't get to that stage. Keeping everything crossed for you!

Jemstar33 · 15/08/2019 17:13

@CoffeeTables sorry it showed up! I’m staying positive that it’s 3rd time lucky for you. No period as of yet. 23 days since mc so thinking it’s still too early.

@seven201 so glad you got a positive opk so quickly, I bet it made he surgery feel worthwhile! Keeping fingers crossed for you.

Goingbacktokansascity · 15/08/2019 17:33

Day 43 in the big brother house. No period. No BFP. Everyone around me seems to be getting pregnant by just looking at a penis. 😭

Jemstar33 · 15/08/2019 23:17

@Goingbacktokansascity it’s soul destroying. I had a woman on at me today in work ‘are you not broody yet’ 🤬

CoffeeTables · 16/08/2019 08:56

Thanks everyone. :) Hopefully cycle 3 is my cycle! I had a chat to my clinic today and I'll start letrozole on Sunday.

@Goingbacktokansascity - the limbo is so difficult - I'm so sorry you're in that.

@jemstar33 - some people just don't think! It seems like such a personal thing to comment on out of the blue as well.

Fingers crossed for everyone mid cycle. Well, fingers crossed for all of us actually! :)

impatientmammy · 16/08/2019 09:55

@Goingbacktokansascity ahhh I know that feeling and if I hear one more the condom slipped off or I got pregnant on the pill speech I might actually cry on the spot 😐 x

Jesskir89 · 16/08/2019 19:42

Hi ladies, just wanted to check in as I've not been on for a while. Had a quick scan through @Marmite83 congratulations! So please for you :) @Jemstar33 how are you getting on? Sorry af still hasn't arrived hopefully it will soon so you can get back to it x

AmyMaria2 · 17/08/2019 19:51

Does this look ok (sex wise) we have done it every other day for most of our months on clomid, so this month I'm going for more than that round my ovulation week, as obviously every other day hasn't worked so far & I have been told that I've got a good size follicle so want to make the most of it! What does every one think though, maybe to much? Shall we bd again tomorrow or have a break day x

Jemstar33 · 17/08/2019 22:09

Hi @Jesskir89 I’m doing good thank you, keeping busy with decorating our house. How are you doing, are you sleeping any better? Hoping af is on her way, been snappy all day but that might have something to do with the decorating 😂

@AmyMaria2 as long as DP sperm is ok I don’t think you can do it too much 😂 some of the others on here were told to ‘flood’ when ovulation was due so it should be ok. I would continue bd as much as you want! Went I fell pregnant we did it every other day from cd 9. Good luck

Goingbacktokansascity · 18/08/2019 01:25

Thanks for the support! Had a scan today as had tummy pain and she said I had a corpus luteum. So I ovulated day 43 approximately. WTF. Atleast hopefully I can expect AF in two weeks time

Jesskir89 · 18/08/2019 08:40

@jemstar33 glad you're doing ok. Yes I'm sleeping a bit better now thank you. Have another scan next week too I've become obsessed lol. @AmyMaria2 we were told every other day and the month I fell pregnant we did it all month and not just when I ovulated. Good luck x

Jemstar33 · 18/08/2019 09:15

@Goingbacktokansascity glad you have some answers, at least you know you ovulated! My cycle before clomid was 55 days. It’s bloody frustrating!

@jesskir89 glad you’re sleeping better! Are you going to find out what you’re having? Hope the scan goes well x

Jesskir89 · 18/08/2019 09:53

@jemstar33 yes I want to know as dh wants to name the baby Rodney if it's a boy! So I need plenty of time to convince him not to! Haha. Are you back on chlomid this next cycle then?

ClomidCarrow · 18/08/2019 13:19

Hello ladies. May I join?

I'm on cycle one of Clomid after 12 months ttc #1. I have polycystic ovaries (but not the syndrome), high AMH and low progesterone.

I've been started on 50g and had a scan last week showing a 17mm follicle on my left ovary and over 20mm on my right, so hoping to have a double shot at it!

Started taking Crinone 8% at 1dpo. I'm now 4 dpo and I'm tearing my hair out! I feel that this is the first real TWW, and the past year has just been a cruel torture. I'm tying not to get my hopes up but it is so, so hard.

Jemstar33 · 18/08/2019 19:55

@Jesskir89 good luck with the convincing 😂😂 will you find out in two weeks then? Yes I’m 99% sure I’ll go back into clomid next cycle, just wish it would hurry up!

Hi @ClomidCarrow how are you feeling in yourself, did the clomid go ok without any side effects? Good luck!

BinkyB4 · 18/08/2019 19:59

Hi all!

Another Clomid newbie too....have been reading your thread for quite a while and finally plucked up th courage to join in.

I’m currently waiting for a positive ovulation test after one round of clomid.

I have a daughter who was conceived without clomid and we lost our second baby when I was 6 months pregnant almost 2 years ago and have been trying ever since.

I’ve been diagnosed with slightly low AMH and slightly high FSH but everything else seems ok.....oh apart from th fact I haven’t been ovulating!

What cycle day did you have your scan ClomidCarrow?

I had one on CD 10 and had one 14mm follicle and a few others apparently and they seemed happy. I just wish I would get my positive OPK!

Jesskir89 · 18/08/2019 20:37

@Jemstar33 no it'll be 6 weeks til I can find out :( @binkyB4 I'm so sorry to hear of your loss! I hope you get your bfp soon x

Jemstar33 · 18/08/2019 20:44

Hi @BinkyB4 what cd are you on now? It’ll come, stay positive!

That’s not too long @jesskir89 at least you have a scan in between. Let me know how it goes x

BinkyB4 · 18/08/2019 21:06

Thank you @Jesskir89. Xx

I’m CD13 @Jemstar33 which I know means I shouldn’t be stressing but I usually have sort cycles n I can’t help it!

Jemstar33 · 18/08/2019 21:14

@binkyb4 fingers crossed you get your positive soon, it’s hard not to stress! Sorry to hear about your loss ❤️

Jesskir89 · 18/08/2019 21:16

@Jemstar33 will do I'll text you when I've had it :) good luck ladies I've got everything crossed for you and staying optimistic. If I can get pregnant after 2.5 years and surgery etc anyone can :) don't stress over opks I never did them just bd every other day for the month I fell x

ClomidCarrow · 18/08/2019 21:20

Thanks @Jemstar33 I'm feeling ok now, but did notice the side effects for sure. The worst were the hot flushes, and I got really low mood. Not sure if that was caused by sleep deprivation due to the hot flushes.

I'm not sure if symptoms were worse because I was taking the tablets at night. When do you all take yours?

@BinkyB4 I'm so sorry for your loss. Keeping everything crossed for you. I had my scan on CD14, and I got a positive OPK on the same morning. I'm using Clear Blue digital because I find them so much easier. What OPKs are you using? Keep going.

Jemstar33 · 18/08/2019 22:20

@Jesskir89 😃

@ClomidCarrow I took mine in the morning, cd3-7 and I’ll be doing the same this time around too. I did get pregnant on my first cycle but I had a miscarriage at 5 weeks. But that worked for me so will do it again! I had hot flushes mostly at night and headaches, nothing too bad tho. Keep us updated! X

Samosaurus · 19/08/2019 08:20

Hello everyone, hope it's ok if I join in this thread.

I was prescribed Clomid in April as we'd been ttc our 2nd for a few months, and a scan revealed I was only ovulating on one side. I got pregnant the first round of Clomid, but after seeing a heartbeat at 7 weeks, I had a mmc at 9 weeks which tests revealed was due to trisomy 21. My consultant thinks this was just bad luck and I am due to start up on Clomid again tomorrow. I'm really worried about a chromosomally abnormal egg being released again though, but if I don't take the Clomid I may not ovulate. Has anyone been in a similar position, or have any words of wisdom? Thank you x
