Our old clomid thread is no longer allowing new comments, and it's taken me 24 hours and multiple failed comments to understand why - we filled it up So thought I'd start a new one...

@CoffeeTables eeek exciting! 9 days is not too long, try and arrange some fun things in between. Keeping everything crossed for you!

AmyMaria2 · 08/08/2019 08:46

I'm cycle day 5 today And my consultant told me to start my clomid on cd 3 this month, 3-7 rather than my usual start on cd2-6
I'm not sure why she told me to try this it was over the phone and she's always in a hurry. When does everyone else usually start? Have you ever been asked to change the day? Thanks x

Marmite83 · 08/08/2019 09:10

Hi ladies, just thought I'd drop in and say hi. First cycle of IVF is going well so far. I had one embryo transferred on Sunday and 3 more good quality ones have been frozen. My official test day is on Tuesday so just have to distract myself until then. If any of the ladies getting closer to IVF want to ask any questions I'd be happy to share my experience so far.

@Jemstar33 I'm so sorry to read about your mc. I hope AF hurries up for you. And I was exactly the same, worrying about it happening again but my second pregnancy is now my very sassy 3 year old dd so hopefully number two will be lucky for you too.

Fingers crossed for lots of bfps on this thread soon!

Jemstar33 · 08/08/2019 09:28

Hi @marmite83 really glad to hear your IVF is going well. Keeping everything crossed for you for Tuesday. Thank you for your lovely message.

@AmyMaria2 I took mine 3-7, as I started bleeding during the day on day 1, they said to take it the 2nd morning you wake up bleeding

Goingbacktokansascity · 08/08/2019 09:47

@CoffeeTables and @Marmite83 good luck good luck I’ll have everything crossed for you,

Doris19 · 08/08/2019 20:10

@AmyMaria2 I took mine days 4-8 this cycle 🤷‍♀️ just had a scan and have 1 nice big follie on each side so feeling pleased with that.

Doris19 · 08/08/2019 20:14

@girlrunningoncheese re the CM, I am trying preseed for the first time this month, although it's expensive!

Doris19 · 08/08/2019 20:22

@Marmite83 thanks for the ivf update that is really good to hear a positive story. Fingers crossed for you. I am a POAS addict so thinking it must be really hard not testing!!!

Jemstar33 · 08/08/2019 20:41

@Doris19 that’s great, fingers crossed for you!

girlrunningoncheese · 08/08/2019 20:49

@Doris19 interesting! Will give that a go next cycle if no good this time round.

Doris19 · 08/08/2019 21:08

Thanks @Jemstar33 where are you in your cycle now? X

Jemstar33 · 08/08/2019 21:12

@Doris19 I’m not too sure tbh I had a mc almost 18 days ago. Been tracking ovulation and I may be 4 dpo but I haven’t taken any clomid this month, seems a bit too early to ovulate X

@Doris19 also had my mum up this week so not been able to dtd 😂 where are you in your cycle? X

seven201 · 08/08/2019 21:39

@Marmite83 thanks for the update. I've been thinking about you. So glad it's going well so far. Fingers crossed for Tuesday.

@Jemstar33 after my mc I had one super long cycle followed by a super short cycle (so missed the ttc window) afterwards. Keep up the opks and lots of sex just in case.

Doris19 · 08/08/2019 22:14

@Jemstar33 I had a CP in June and had a really long cycle after that (37 days). I'm now on CD13 of my first clomid cycle and according to consultant should ovulate friday night. Apparently it's quite precise depending on the size of the follicles 🤷‍♀️
So dtd lots this week within reason, advised every other day especially as DH is a bit older!!

Feel like I've tried loads this month so fingers crossed! Not looking forward to the TWW

CoffeeTables · 09/08/2019 01:50

@Marmite83 - fingers crossed for you for Tuesday. I hope you find some nice distractions this weekend.

@Doris19 - good to hear about your follicles! :) Fingers crossed for you too.

I'm driving myself crazy in this tww! I got out the dry dog food this morning and nearly threw up from the smell. But of course all the symptoms I'm having could still be because of the Hcg trigger shot. Frustrating! I just need to get to next Saturday for the preg test (if my period doesn't come beforehand - fingers crossed!!).

AmyMaria2 · 09/08/2019 06:31

@Jemstar33 thanks for all your help, wish you best of luck with next round of clomid.

@Doris19 thank you! Good to know you took clomid cd4-8 and good results, I was worried I was told to change a day out🙄 fingers crossed x

Jemstar33 · 09/08/2019 07:57

@seven201 @Doris19 I can cope with 30 odd days but I don’t think I’ll cope with a 50 day cycle 😔 which is what it was the cycle before i took clomid.

I’ve been having cramping all down my legs the past few days. Starting in my groin, did either of you get this?

Good luck Doris, you’re doing all you can! X

Jemstar33 · 09/08/2019 08:16

Thanks @AmyMaria2 good luck with yours too! X

Doris19 · 09/08/2019 13:03

Bad news today in our follow up appointment that we also have male factor infertility issues, related to dna fragmentation rather than semen analysis. But means our proposed treatment is straight to ICSI IVF next cycle assuming this one doesn't work out... lots to take in!!! But at least finally some clearer answers.

seven201 · 09/08/2019 19:00

Sorry to hear that @Doris19 but at least you're getting cracking with the icsi ivf. Good luck!

Jemstar33 · 10/08/2019 09:40

@Doris19 hope you’re ok. As you say it’s good to finally get answers. Keeping my fingers crossed for this round x

Jemstar33 · 12/08/2019 19:19

How’s everyone doing?

@marmite83 good luck for tomorrow

Thinking about delaying my next clomid round as I’ve got a weekend away booked with the girls in 4 weeks and if I start my period before and take clomid I think I’ll be worrying the whole time and may get myself worked up for nothing. But then I’m worried about delaying it as my cycles can last up to 50 odd days. Ergh I don’t know what to do for the best! What you do you think? X

girlrunningoncheese · 12/08/2019 19:41

Hey @Jemstar33
In your position I think I'd go ahead anyway - hopefully your weekend away would be a nice distraction? But then I am impatient, and also haven't been going through this for as long as you so am probably more inclined to just crack on. Might feel differently in your situation.
I'm on CD11 so waiting for a scan/trigger on Wed. No flashing smiley yet though. Didn't get one last month either, just straight to static smiley. But then I only tested once and then had the trigger so the nurse said I may have missed the LH surge.
Had a bit of a disagreement with DH yesterday as we had the inevitable issues with scheduled BDing - he feels it's very unromantic and a bit weird Confused
He's not wrong, but if we don't do it then definitely no baby Blush

Doris19 · 12/08/2019 19:50

@Jemstar33 I would echo that and probably go ahead. When in your cycle is the weekend away??
