Are you Barren & Bored? You've come to the right place!

We do: swearing, empathy, bitterness, tears, sardonic laughter, glittery shit and mocking idiots who know nothing jon snow.

We don't do: baby dust, relentless positivity, "u ok hun", "I had a friend who..", pithy advice or sentimentality generally.

Previous threads 1 and 2.

Now that you've got all that down, welcome to the barren ghetto.

I hear ya closephine, I've just poas as I'm a whole day late (hope still there even though we are 2.5 years in with multiple failed cycles). Me and dh have been symptom spotting like mad for the last 2days what a pair of losers. Needless to say complete bfn. Where does this ridiculous hope come from?!

PeaOp · 19/09/2016 10:51

Fiends, it is done! 1 grade 4, 8 cell is now on-board. Test date 3rd Oct.

TammySwanson · 19/09/2016 12:52

Wahey, PeaOp. Well done! Fingers crossed for the 2ww.

I just had my final (hopefully - will know for certain when bloods are back) scan before EC on Wednesday. Only have about 7 follicles that look big enough to be in the game so I'm a bit nervous about having any eggs that manage to fertilise OK (or even any eggs at all which would be the worse possible outcome). Had an extra dose of Menopur to kick start the others but I think they are too far behind to catch up in time.

icy121 · 19/09/2016 15:12

Best of luck Tammy let us know how you get on. Glitter unicorn shit for you 🦄

LHReturns · 19/09/2016 15:32

Well done PeaOp!

Tammy, seven follicles is a great final scan result. I only had about 5 follicleslooking 'in the game' by trigger day - we got 6 eggs (one not mature). Four fertilised, and two made it to blast.

Let us know if bloods confirm trigger tonight!

TammySwanson · 19/09/2016 15:48

Thanks, ladies. Bloods are OK so trigger tonight (of course it's another one that you have to bloody mix yourself so I better not fuck it up) and EC on Wednesday. Eek.

TammySwanson · 19/09/2016 15:51

BUT more importantly we are going to need a new thread soon (just wasted two posts that could have easily been one, oops)

tigerdog · 19/09/2016 16:09

Hurrah peaop that's great news!

Good luck with trigger tammy.

Sorry about the bfn zippy. I was a week late last month and of course poas yielded bfn. I'm much the same though...as four years ttc approaches, I still hope.

Some good advice from people there fourpaws. I vote for going nuclear on them! Total disgrace.

Hope those in the 2ww are surviving...

I had my scan today and onto the next steps. Back again in 10 days and then transfer a few days after that hopefully. Feels like it is taking an age....

PotatoesPastaAndBread · 19/09/2016 19:13

Me too! I still hope. Approaching four years. Am back on the opks and pregnancy tests. Why??? Could have bought a tonne of chocolate with that cash.

peaop that's great news! Well done and fingers crossed.

Good luck with trigger tammy. Mixing it up yourself? Thank god my clinic doesn't trust ask me to do that!

How's it going icy?

icy121 · 19/09/2016 19:57

potatoes not going too mental but definitely not getting much work done at the moment!! Otd not til Sunday/Monday but going to go early and ease self in if its a bfn.

Haven't done a proper 2ww for so long. Had just accepted it's impossible so didn't track... Nothing.

Eating a "yogurt" called a dairy milk pit of joy at the moment and it's everything I wanted it to be. Basically whether this FET works or not, I'm getting fat ;-)

Have you ever got pregnant via normal (timed) shagging ?

OP posts:
closephine85 · 19/09/2016 21:18

Zippy - AF being late but bfn sucks, I'm sorry. This whole thing is bad enough without period going awol for no reason other than to mess with our heads.

Peaop - well done and good luck!

Tammy - good luck for Wednesday!

Icy - did you take advantage of the waitrose offer too (2 pots for 81p!)? I got the standard pots and also 'layers of joy' (pretty sure they were simply Called chocolate trifles when I was a child) had one for lunch. fantisising about another now...

I got pregnant via normal shagging. Once. And miraculously that resulted in my son. It took us 7 months and when we started ttc again we joked 'if it takes us 7 months this time we're definitely doing this wrong'. Oh we laughed. Pair of poor deluded idiots!! I look back at that couple now and I can't even really recognise them... if that makes any sense at all? This whole process has just worn me/us down so completely that I don't even feel like that person anymore.

Sorry bit deep for a Monday... better crack open the second pot of joy!

closephine85 · 19/09/2016 21:20

Sorry Icy, just realised your question may have been directed just at Potatoes and not the whole thread?! Hope my answer isn't insensitive. I do know how lucky I am to have found the golden ticket once already.

LHReturns · 19/09/2016 21:35

Don't worry Closephine. My 2 year old DS was as a result of UNPLANNED normal shagging. Agree we are very lucky and, as long as we recognise that, I am always so touched and astonished by how equally supportive the other ladies here are for those of us with secondary infertility.

LHReturns · 20/09/2016 09:58

I know you all desperately need this information: I actually have some kind of CUT or FISSURE in my asshole. THIS is what Cyclogest has done to me.

I took about 10 Dulcoease last night, and things are freeing up. I actually got a pair of jeans over my Clexane-bruise-addled stomach this morning. But my poor bum hole is not pleased.

closephine85 · 20/09/2016 11:04

Thanks LH and sorry to hear about your delicate problem! It's not exactly glamorous any of this but sometimes it feels like we've been stripped of all dignity!

Currently sat in my GP's waiting room. Not even sure why I'm here really. We had hidden infections tests done with serum in Athens and they came back with presence of chlamydia (as I believe most do) but when I called up with the prescription they said I had to come in and discuss... got a feeling it's about to be refused...

closephine85 · 20/09/2016 11:47

I stand corrected. Lovely GP agreed anything worth a try at this stage and wrote out the prescription for me.

closephine85 · 20/09/2016 11:50

Oh and I didn't even have to take my pants off! (Small victories!)

icy121 · 20/09/2016 18:41

Closephine excellent GPery there :-) and well done keeping your arse covered.

I've only just twigged that the modesty paper blanket they give you at dildo scans can open up to form an entire blanket. I'd never done that. Just use it to cover my minge & leave the legs akimbo. First time was at ET.

Symptom spotting on the train; problem is, I've had every symptom ever at one stage or other but am resolutely barren with never even a sniff at a bfp. So I'm sure it's just the hormones. Keep talking self down from feeling halfway hopeful but still feel a bit sodding fucking hopeful!!

LH how the fuck did Cyclogest cut your arsehole?!! Argh that's mental! Hope it's not sore?! I got a paper cut on my lip licking an envelope on Sunday. Not the same. Face lip not other 👍

PeaOp · 20/09/2016 18:55

Eek! icy are you going to start a new thread? I'm counting down to my attempt to insert cyclogest on a swaying, full speed pendolino.

I'd also like to note that it tried to change cyclogest to cyclone storm....

LHReturns · 20/09/2016 19:13

Cyclogest didn't cut my asshole. Cyclogest made me so constipated that my rock hard, prickly, pebble poos and straining cut my asshole. It is not good.

I also have some pale brown discharge. So feeling bloody marvellous. Testing tomorrow for sure.

PotatoesPastaAndBread · 20/09/2016 21:11

Nope never pregnant via shagging. Four years, only bfp was the ivf fiasco.

Also never cut my arse with being so constipated Shock

Shall I go stat a new thread? Three posts to go...

fourpawswhite · 20/09/2016 21:27

Gosh yes potato or icy, or someone, new thread, life line needed.....Flowers
