The Catholic catechism teaches that you should not just work to become richer or benefit yourself. You should work to benefit society as a whole.

I am sure the catechism also says that employment should be open to all, including immigrants. It definetly says that rich nations have a duty to help poorer nations ( that sounds like politics to me) It also definetly says that social action is a duty.
