The Restore Britain March seems to have gone pretty well today from what I can glean online.

It could be a faulty algorithm, but the trouble the PM seemed to think would happen doesn’t seem to have materialised. I’ve seen clips from the march where a diverse mix of people have marched, not just football hooligan types.

Nothing is out of sight anymore as it can be videoed and posted anyway so that argument doesn’t fly.

This is about the cost of policing and inconvenience to others. It’s not proportionate anymore - what both sides are demanding.

No such thing as both sides. Other people apart from unite the kingdom and pro Palestine people march.

Come on 😂

I’m all for peaceful protest. I just wish people would protest in their own towns instead of polluting London with their lousy behaviour, litter and racism.

Does that include the farmers in their rather large tractors who descend on London regularly accompanied by Nigel Farage, CEO of the Reform Party?

What about Muslim women. How do you think they feel about Tommy and his views?

How do you think Jewish people feel about the Pro Pally marchers? And don't bother saying that some Jews march too. Many don't. What about their feelings?

TBF. It always seems to be the pro Palestine lot. You must admit that. Seems to be every weekend that they're out shouting and flag waving.

For goodness sake that's just awful 😞

Take it off as if it's a strip show. Good family entertainment? Horrible.

"protect our woman and girls" indeed...

I'm not sure what your point is to be honest. People have been marching in support of Palestine since 1967. It's only recently that people who support Palestine have been widely regarded as anti semitic. If I go to a march that supports Palestine and it's peaceful - are you suggesting that I shouldn't march incase it upsets someone who is Jewish?

By the same token should I not march for Scottish independence incase it offends someone who is pro union?

I last marched in 2022. Maybe go take pot shots at someone who is out every week

Another one of theirs was arrested for knocking someone down last week with their van in Stirchley outside a London train station on Saturday not quite getting as far as the peaceful protest.

I have no idea don't follow him, I was just correcting the pp who obviously has her own agenda and lied about what TR actually said.

I used to go on anti fascist marches when old Tommy was Mr EDL and he has not changed, the things he has said and done are repellant he is just a racist

So? It still happened on stage.

ChocolateAddictAlways · 18/05/2026 14:14

A few things that happened at this march,

  1. The right wing influencer EDobbins uploaded video of himself leering at a young woman. When her mum tells him she's actually 15(!!!) his response is that he's "gonna go to jail in a minute" and that she should "have a warning on her". But it's all about protecting women and young girls right? 🙄

2)Tommy Robinson was filmed saying he would 'end Islam' and wants 'remigration for Muslims'. He didn't say end extremist Islam or deport illegal Muslims or extremists who have dual nationality. He is saying the quiet part out loud. Multiple social media accounts have uploaded this clip.

3)There are videos online of a young woman holding a sign saying " Christ is King. f**k Islam". Multiple accounts have uploaded this. (This woman clearly doesn't realise that Muslims revere Jesus but oh well...)

  1. Videos on The Guilty Feminist IG account show groups of marching men telling at women 'get your tits out'.

  2. Kellie Jay Keen, one of the speakers; says "We have to remove Islam from every space."

I keep being told that the people at the United the kingdom march was about unity, peaceful, not intimidating but I am struggling to believe that. All seems very anti Muslim and bigoted to me.

Yaxley Lennon came from Spain
These women came from France
Ant Middleton lives in Dubai
The money came from America

Why are these people who don't live here or pay tax here so invested in influencing Britain?

Araminta1003 · 18/05/2026 14:35

“Why are these people who don't live here or pay tax here so invested in influencing Britain?”

Are they? Or are we Londoners just the idiots letting them march freely around all streets etc at a cost of 5 million in wasted police time.
Whereas every other country has more proportionate and reasonable restrictions on what people can and cannot do “during a peaceful protest/march?”?

Tommy makes very good money from what he does. That's part of it

This. And what @Araminta1003 said.

The fact that fewer people came to this march than last year's makes you hope people are seeing through these grifters and liggers.

Have you seen the protests in Georgia? Do you think they should be marching in a park?

Which countries are you referring to and what restrictions do they have?

Piggywaspushed · 18/05/2026 14:52

I would very much like to know what the US's 'proportionate' measures look like.

There's being obtuse and being deliberately obtuse to take the proverbial. The Palestinian protest marches became popular after 7/10/23. Been marching all your life have you? Clearly you don't give a stuff about Jews being affected. I couldn't give a flying one about Scottish Independence. I'm not remotely interested. At least Im honest though.

I couldn't agree more. I just think it's a totally separate topic and I don't want to dilute it by lumping it in with some of the awful comments and posters on this thread.

You are getting angry with the wrong person.

lol who said I was angry? 🤷‍♀️ I just find the left very hypocritical when they can point out a group calling someone a wanker but then turning a blind eye to people calling for the death of Jews….. again not saying this angrily as I find it laughable

Simple.

A no-confidence motion - as in 1979.

Perhaps you assume that Burnham will win the Makerfield by-election.

WIth a working majority of 167, Labour would easily win a no-confidence motion. Stop being daft.

Why are these people who don't live here or pay tax here so invested in influencing Britain?

They want to turn the UK into a minimal public spending, minimal tax rates tax haven for themselves and their mates. Farage's day job is helping people move their money off-shore.

A minimal public spending, minimal tax rates tax haven looks like:

  • No NHS.
  • No council housing.
  • No social care for elderly and disabled. It's not a coincidence that many Reform UKers think that autism and ADHD don't exist: you don't have to pay for social care if you deny the existencw diagnosis underpinning the statement of needs.
  • Everything privatised and expensive.

In other words, a shithole in which people's homes get repossessed to pay of the debts incurred funding their own cancer treatment, just like you see in the USA.
