The Restore Britain March seems to have gone pretty well today from what I can glean online.

It could be a faulty algorithm, but the trouble the PM seemed to think would happen doesn’t seem to have materialised. I’ve seen clips from the march where a diverse mix of people have marched, not just football hooligan types.

Yeah. The far right are famous for their thing about Jewish folk.

Is that all forgotten now ?

Apparently so, even when the antisemites are on their actual marches wittering about ZOG and white replacement theory.

You have to try very very hard to overlook it when Patriotic Alternative and White Vanguard are marching alongside you.

Absolutely not! That would be appalling. I am suggesting that the SNP are very good at pretending to benefit others while actually benefitting themselves. Nothing more.

Odd. Free prescriptions. Free eye tests. Child poverty payment. Free school meals for kids in p1-5 and 6-7 for people on low incomes.

I've certainly benefited from their policies. My last degree was fully funded by the Scottish govt (part time study) because I earn under 25k a year. 60 per cent of Scottish ou students are funded that way.

They also subsidise ou fees for people who self fund. As do NI and Wales.

There are plenty of snp policies I disagree with but it's not the case that they do nothing for the people of Scotland.

"Two Unite the Kingdom protesters were arrested for assaulting emergency workers, with arrests also taking place for drunk and disorderly behaviour as well as criminal damage."

A "lovely family friendly event". Not.

Ach, undercover lefties no doubt.

But a sword ?

I am just guessing here, or is it speculating ? I wonder if she posts on SM about knife crime in the UK ?

You have to hand it to the OP.

18 hours of concertedly defending a point she initially said might be based on a faulty algorithm about a march she didn't know the name of.

Comedy gold.

They do tend to drink on the far right marches/protests - maybe go into the pub along the way or bring a lot of cans with them.

Thats not really the case on the left - I love a drink, and I’m not the only one, but never on a March - doesn’t seem appropriate nor the right time to enjoy it - I racked up 15k steps yesterday - a couple of drinks would have taken me off the March to rest lol.

Obviously, when alcohol and large crowds are mixed then trouble can ensue - and there’s good reason you don’t take beer into the football ground - they should tell them not to take it into the marches as well imo - go pub after.

The video of the sword arrest is online.

The people filming her -
To the police, "What a fucking moron. "Why don't you do some real work you fucking twat"'. "Fucking dick"
Generally - "They don't do anything for real knives though do they?" "Jesus, fucking knob heads." "They don't do anything about the foreigners with their fucking knives though do they." "What a fucking prick, fucking dick head" "Fucking arseholes".

The police -
Explained to the people there it was a real sword.
Completely professional. One policeman talking throughout to the woman, explaining the problem, why they had to take it seriously, what was going to happen next.

The woman with the sword -
Seemed genuinely to have it as part of a costume and looked utterly bewildered. .

It Kemi Badenoch who fails consistently at PMQs. Goodness can you not see that? Even I squirm for her, and I really dislike her as a politician.

Show me a video as I haven’t seen that no. I saw her recent video of calling out Wes Streeting, who looked furious and then resigned a day later 🙈

That's not why he resigned. He made it clear that was due because of having lost confidence in Starmer. It was pretty much known a day before he resigned that he was going to do so. Do you honestly think he would resign just because Kemi challenged him?

Oh no I don’t think he resigned because of that, she obviously knew he was going to resign.

“I’m not going to complain about a Prime Minister keeping people out of the country if they’re causing trouble.”

That was from an interview from GBNews

its where she talked about the march. I’m sure if the Guardian had asked her to comment she’d have told them too.

Oh I was just pointing out that being called a wanker isn’t half as bad as a group calling for the death of Jews but never mind

I couldn't agree more. I just think it's a totally separate topic and I don't want to dilute it by lumping it in with some of the awful comments and posters on this thread.

You are getting angry with the wrong person.

Good for you. Many women and girls in the UK have been though. The fact that you haven't doesnt cancel that out. I dont know why you think it would? Maybe you should go to Rotherham, blackpool etc and tell them they're just being ridiculous and influenced by the far right? And after that maybe hop on a plane to Afghanistan, Saudia Arabia or any number of other countries, and tell them that you know better then their own lived experience.

I've been sexually harassed by south-east Asian men and by white men. I was sexually assaulted and raped by white boys and men. The problem is men. I've never been sexually harassed by a woman of any colour.

A lot of that subsidised by the despised English.
