Why are Jewish people facing persecution in the UK?

I don’t understand why Jewish people are being persecuted in this country. What is wrong with people?

Only that they always have been persecuted and there's been a noticeable rise in anti semitism over the last 10 years - and that was before the latest with Israel

The same reason we have massive concrete and iron barriers to stop pedestrians being deliberately run over on their way to work on London Bridge. The same reason we weren’t allowed liquids over 50 ml on flights. It’s not really much of a puzzle,

Because the left wing in this country has become increasingly obsessed with Israel and increasingly antisemitic. Look at Livingstone / Corbyn etc

Because (some) people don't seem to be able to separate the behaviour of Israel, which I do think we should be able to critisise without calls of anti semitism, and the Jewish people.

This works both ways, for too long Jewish community leaders considered any critisim of Israel to be antisemititic.

I think Corbyn has been proved right, and not antisemetic at all.

Except it isn't, because there were an increasing number of attacks on synagogues before the October attacks.

Why should Jewish people be held accountable???

Do people think that Jewish people are like some crazy cult who plot things? Most Jewish people aren’t wealthy. Jews don’t own banks. They are normal people paying taxes. They push their children to study hard and get good jobs. They are hard workers family oriented

thanks @PollyBell. The thing is that most Jewish people don’t wear traditional dress. Many Jewish people are working in law firms businesses shops schools and look like any British person. Why oh why are people intent on murdering them. I can’t help but think that certain members of the population genuinely think that Jewish people are really up to no good. For what reason?! Most Jewish people are terrified of their own shadow. They tend to be very quiet people not confrontational of course you have some that are but most are going about their daily life paying taxes committing no crimes.
why should a woman whose mother was born Jewish and so happens to be Jewish herself be murdered and a Muslim woman or Christian does not. Jews are such a tiny part of the population too - leave them alone. Enough

The thing I will never understand is although people have total right to think anything they want BUT what gives people right to take the additional step to create harm, any anyone trying to justify what is occurring in another country forgets one very important thing it is not the people in Britain doing it, same with any villigelante behaviour it says more about the people trying scrape together any excuse to justify their behvaiour to themselves and their poor family that is does about anyone they think it hiding in the closet ready to jump out and bite them on the arse

Yes and that’s exactly why I don’t understand why they are being targeted.

But Israel is a country annd the government make the decisions. Absolutely nothing to do with the individual Jews living on the other side of the world. Plenty of Jews haven’t even been to Israel and certainly many I know are absolutely against the attacks on the Palestinians.

I’m Jewish and I think Netanyahu is insane and what’s happening is an atrocity. Is it ok that me and my kids should be targetted for it?

That doesn’t have a special name though.
The world is full of hate, just as Jesus said it would be.

Because Netanyahu is using the Jewish diaspora as a pawn or excuse to continue his actions in Gaza.

He knows that what he’s doing will lead to these other Jews (supporters of his or not) receiving backlash, and can then turn around and point at this to try to justify himself.

Many people are easily manipulated, hence why this is working.

Be angry at a government or any person actually causing harm but there is no justification for anyone no matter what colour, race, religion to harm another just because of the at best childish response ''well it is ok I can go and cause property damage or harm you physicaally or bully your children because other people are doing something else''
