Absolutely shocking attack at the Heaton Park Synagogue in Crumpsall North Manchester. My heart goes out to all those hurt and affected by this terrible atrocity.

If the truth be told there are some people using the situation in Palestine as a front to air their anti Semitism .
They couldn’t give a rat’s ass about the suffering in Gaza all they care about is criticising Jewish people

And grievances against the British government (hello Kneecap)

nomas · 02/10/2025 18:58

Beachtastic · 02/10/2025 18:57

You're quite right. It could equally well have been the Russian Imperial Movement, the Baluchistan Liberation Army, or the Maniacs Murder Cult. Time will tell. Sorry I jumped the gun.

If you state things as fact when they’re not established facts, then it just means no one can take you seriously.

Do you actually understand what genocide is??
Clearly not.

I don't really care if anyone takes me seriously or not.

‘Apparently’

No space here for supposed false information. Dangerous if not true.

What is your evidence of this?

Just aswell I heard it from someone who was there while talking about today's events then

To celebrate the attack by Hamas?? How can this be allowed?

I well remember, just after the Hamas attack, seeing footage of people both here and in Gaza, openly celebrating the attack by Hamas.

They walk amongst us, those that celebrated October 7th and still do. Sadly, there will be people in support of this vile attack today. There is much open antisemitism, its bloody fashionable online. It sickens me.

IsEveryUserNameBloodyTaken · 02/10/2025 17:57

What the fuck. Why are they even employed by the NHS.

Time for MN to pull this thread.

Innocent British citizens were murdered in cold blood today. People who were visiting their place of worship and welcoming the Jewish New Year.

It's so sad that Palestine supporters would want use this space for their political agenda.

reginaldronnierara · 02/10/2025 19:03

Not sure why I quotes you @IsEveryUserNameBloodyTaken

Seems incredibly cowardly of them. They'll have to say it eventually.

More likely part of managing the situation whilst emergency services prepare.

Risk assessment, based on past experience, will inform them that once the news is released (dependent on who the attacker is) communities will be in danger.

Think, of the riots associated with Southport ( and this wasn't a terror attack).

Ah, a high quality source then.

I'm repeating what I heard from a first hand source during a conversation. It's your choice to believe it or not. I know which you'll choose and that's ok

nomas · 02/10/2025 19:05

PollyPaintsFlowers · 02/10/2025 16:23

Apparently there were cars of Muslims driving around the area laughing and with music blaring

Horrific

Clearly not true, videos would be all over X if that was true.

But it's likely that you will consider the UN anti-semitic.

Do you think people would have their phones out ready to film it?

Let's face it. There's a type of people that were on the streets on October 7th celebrating it and whether you want to believe it or not they were doing it again today

It's the same sort of people who put laughing emojis on every public post on Facebook about injured or dead IDF soldiers or terrorist attacks against Jews around the world

ArabellaSaurus · 02/10/2025 19:12

I'm lighting a candle for the Jewish community tonight.

Ihatetomatoes · 02/10/2025 19:12

LunaDeBallona · 02/10/2025 17:15

It’s actually 43,000 people on the MI5 terror watchlist - so just shy of 39,000 Islamists we are paying billions to watch and try to keep Britain safe from their hatred of us and especially Jews.
Somewhere we have gone very very wrong in the UK.

Im flicking through the news channels with tears pouring down my face - I’m devastated for British Jews and for the future of our country.

This is disgraceful. Almost 39 000 islamists on a watch list here. Good grief it needs addressing in parliament. Pussy footing around these extremists who walk and live amongst us.

LunaDeBallona · 02/10/2025 19:13

@Busybeemumm Cant you think for yourself?
You just look silly. ‘Palestine’ isn’t even a nation so falls flat at the first requirement. Muslims are not being murdered in such numbers that they are in danger of being eradicated- unlike Jews who STILL haven’t got back up to their pre 1939 numbers. Thats what genocide looks like.
Whats going on in the Middle East is the only democratic state there (Israel) is fighting a bunch of terrorists who want to kill every Jewish man, woman and child. Not a genocide. It’s war. Are you equally as vocal about the war in Sudan??
Why don’t you just say ‘I’m an anti semite’? It would be so much easier.

gorlomi · 02/10/2025 19:13

I think the thread should stand, so everyone can see Pro-Palestinians for exactly what they are. How they want to drag everything back to Gaza and whitewash their hate marches that have lead to today's tragedy

Ive yet to see anyone speaking about Gaza saying a damn thing about the Rohingya or Uighurs.

no Jews no news

That's lovely. I was listening to LBC earlier and one of the callers said she was Jewish and that she felt really alone

To any Jewish Mumsnetter reading this, there are plenty of us thinking of you and your community aswell today

Presumably for a sense of solidarity
