Absolutely shocking attack at the Heaton Park Synagogue in Crumpsall North Manchester. My heart goes out to all those hurt and affected by this terrible atrocity.

If this was part of a co-ordinated attack by Hamas, that does take this to a whole other level.

The co- ordinated attack by Hamas and their state funded neighbours has been going on since October 7th. They might not have been blowing people up in the West so much
but they have been manipulating them through social media and the MSM, winning “hearts and minds” if anyone doesn’t realise the reason Hamas hid in schools and hospitals, why they carried out attacks so deplorable Israel really had no choice about how to respond I have simply lost my faith in humanity. Think about it critically, how do we have so many people waving a flag of society where they would be tortured and most likely killed if they set foot in it. How can so many women ignore the appalling treatment of women there? They say, oh it’s for the children but completely ignore a. Hamas has deliberately set about ensuring the maximum harm to children by using them as human shields, happily tortured and raped and killed women and children - yet not even a mention of the many children dying in wars all over the world.

Hamas has been bringing the war to the west for a long time. So many have willingly signed up to be its foot soldiers

I'm an immigrant and not a supporter of Reform.

But to be fucking honest I'm more concerned about the TERRORIST ATTACKS actions than Reform at this particular moment in time.

And I've also got to say, I haven't seen any Jewish people running around the UK murdering anyone. Ever. And it is feeding into Reform even more when people stick their fingers over their eyes and ignore who it is murdering people regularly.

But I'm still hearing some 'both sides' bullshit on social media about thsi brutal attack, and it is sickening. As if Jewish peopel in the UK are just as bad as actual terrorists.

Couldn’t agree more.

"Not the time for political point scoring.

Sadly, our country is full of hatred from many sides, fuelled by the media. So much for our British Values of tolerance and respect for others beliefs."

"Now's not the time for point scoring... Now please stand by while I attempt to score my own completely unnecessary and utterly irrelevant point about British people's values."

clipboardz · 02/10/2025 16:55

I just want any Jewish people here to know that most of us are horrified by what happened today but also horrified by the treatment you’ve endured and the fear you are living with, it shouldn’t happen and it’s not acceptable. I hope to see the government take a much more robust stance on antisemitism going forward.

well said

Do they not consider they could be tmws victims?

totalrocket · 02/10/2025 16:56

The unfettered rise of anti semitism is so upsetting and even this shocking yet predictable incident is I fear the thin edge of the wedge.

IsEveryUserNameBloodyTaken · 02/10/2025 16:57

reginaldronnierara · 02/10/2025 15:26

Of course not, it will. They will use this as yet another reason to stoke up hatred. They always do, it's how they operate.

You claim hatred to dispute the truth that people are concerned.
I don’t see the Jewish people carrying out attacks in this country.

Busybeemumm · 02/10/2025 15:56

How dare I what exactly?? To suggest that Israel is committing genocide? Like most of the world! That there is a arrest warrant out for Netanyaho? If anyone is part of the problem it's you. Stocking division rather than unity.

How dare you come on this thread and blame Jews for the millennia of Jew hatred and bigotry meted out to them. On this day. How dare you.

Andouillette · 02/10/2025 16:59

Busybeemumm · 02/10/2025 13:39

But Israel is not defending itself. It's committing genocide as now recognised by most countries in the world.

As I said my my first post this is not the day for the world politics and conflating two separate issues-government and religion. Its about giving strength and support to the Jewish community who no doubt will be in mourning following the attack on a synagogue.

You, madam are a base hypocrite. Your pathetic whitewashing of the pro Palestine marches and your constant references to the politics of the current situation on a thread which has actual frightened, grieving Jewish people in it are apparently fine. But anybody who disagrees with you? "OOh, it's not the day to discuss this". You should be ashamed. But you won't be because you (mistakenly) think you have the moral highground.

Isn't "this isn't the time for political point scoring" the line used by the NRA when there's been another slaughter of children in a hail of bullets, and they want to distract anyone using this as a reason to limit gun ownership?

Nothing to see here, move along until it's faded from the front pages and then we hope you'll have long since forgotten about it all.

Why on earth would we do that?! That's just ridiculous.

Because they do no harm and I would welcome them with open arms.

Heartfelt condolences to the victims and their families and friends.

I'm not Jewish, but this is what I've feared ever since 7 Oct 2023, when I turned to the MN forum expecting compassion for the most shocking genocidal terrorist attack in living memory. Instead, to my horror, the Conflict in the Middle East forum was dominated for some time by gloating threads celebrating what had happened and denying the atrocities. (These seem to have been deleted retrospectively, but the damage was done.)

On 7 Oct 2023, as the attacks in Israel were still unfolding, the Palestine Solidarity Campaign arranged its first march in London for the following weekend and had everyone chanting "From the river to the sea." Their DARVO tactic was to present it all as a brave freedom protest (as though Hamas's idea of freedom even remotely aligns with any Western concept of it!), and they have successfully controlled the narrative ever since by ensuring that the finger of blame is firmly pointed at Israel and not them.

It has become wildly fashionable to wave Palestinian flags, call for "death to the IDF" from the stage of Glastonbury, protest in support of Palestine Action (whose co-founder spoke in praise of Hamas on 8 Oct 2023), and fan the flames of Hamas propaganda on social media.

How bitterly ironic that those doing so seem to think they are fighting "fascism" instead of actively lending their support to its meteoric rise over the past couple of years. This intense vilification of Israel and the Jewish people is serving a very specific purpose, and I wish people were not so blind to it.

All of this.

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 02/10/2025 12:54

I’m afraid that there was always an undercurrent of anti-semitism in the U.K., which has almost been legitimised in some eyes by the events in Gaza, and has even to some people, become (although I hate to use the word) ‘fashionable’.

Indeed.

And anyone spouting "From the river to the sea" on those marches is - by definition - an anti-Semite. A Jew hater.

Uggbootsforever · 02/10/2025 17:06

OnlyMabelInTheBuilding · 02/10/2025 13:40

Encouraging it, how?

Antisemitism is a left-wing issue and always has been.

Mosley and the British Union of Fascists (as one example) were left wing?

There is no place for antisemitism anywhere on the political spectrum in the UK, any more than there should be for racism and Islamophobia and it should be called out whoever is promoting it. No cause, no ideology is worth promoting hate for.

IsEveryUserNameBloodyTaken · 02/10/2025 17:07

PropertyD · 02/10/2025 15:45

Is this really true?

Muslims account for 5% of the population yet they account for 90% of people on the MI5 watchlist.

I understood correct me if I’m wrong that there are 4000 Muslims on the terror watchlist.
How the fuck they aren’t removed from this country I just don’t know.

Yup. All these hate marches that we see all the time in this country....makes me sick. Globalise the intifada and all that. Jews have been telling us this would happen. And here we are.

No, because they’re under the sad delusion that if the UK were attacked by Russia tomorrow or similar, Palestinians would rise up to march for them. I can’t think of a time an Islamic country has ever marched, or shown any concern, for any countries in conflict outside of those that directly affect it?

DirtyMartinii · 02/10/2025 17:09

25milesfromhome · 02/10/2025 17:01

We're not pets.

I don’t think they’re saying that.

The narrative by Palestine marchers toward white non-Jewish English people (WASPs) is that we’re all nasty racists who are using antisemitism as an excuse for rampant Islamophobia and desire for mass deportation as part of a white supremacist ideology.

I definitely think there are a small number of people doing this by the way - but not the majority. I truly think the majority of people don’t care about the religion or skin colour of their neighbours, so long as they can live in peace free from both direct persecution but also this kind of weird moral obligation that we have to take the ‘anti-West’ side whenever there’s a conflict ‘to prove we’re not white supremacists’.

vsign · 02/10/2025 17:13

Pretty disturbing that there are people from the community slowly walking by while a person bleeds on the ground.

It’s actually 43,000 people on the MI5 terror watchlist - so just shy of 39,000 Islamists we are paying billions to watch and try to keep Britain safe from their hatred of us and especially Jews.
Somewhere we have gone very very wrong in the UK.

Im flicking through the news channels with tears pouring down my face - I’m devastated for British Jews and for the future of our country.

Is this really the time or place for such dog whistles? Is Israel ever marching on behalf of anyone else? Maybe it's time to shut the computer for today.
