Civil unrest, what's really going on?

Sadworld23 · 03/08/2025 17:02

My DH keeps chirping up with, there's riots here, protests there, immigrants have done assaults in xxx etc. He sees me as a bit of a do-gooder..

All UK places, but when I look at my regular news, there's very little reporting of it.

My DH has some MH issues currently and to confront him with 'what the heck are you reading?' isn't worth it right now.
I make comments such as, ooh that sounds grim and doesn't sound good, and that's very worrying, but I'd really like to know if it's really happening and where he's getting this info.

Brexit happened, it isn't a conspiracy theory! Look at the social care crisis! Hospital beds blocked because we lost swathes of care workers due to Brexit. It's not a conspiracy, it's a mess we are in that we weren't in before. The truth hurts but I'm afraid Brexit brought all this on, the timing wasn't coincidence for god's sake!

Aye yes the truth hurts for you I’m afraid! 😂

Bexit wasn’t a conspiracy, however what you are spouting is!

Incredible.

Is that literally true?

And it's also "against their human rights" to determine their age from their teeth apparently

Oh yes, I remember that one.

But it wasn’t against the human rights of children in secondary schools to be protected from 30 year old men, who may or may not have criminal records from joining classes. Or the human rights of the teachers who could clearly see they were grown adults. Or for vulnerable children in foster homes to have these men placed with them. Right-o.

I honestly can’t believe that people defend this bollocks.

I have no problem with people coming here to work. You have a medical qualification and a job lined up? Great. That’s how my nurse mother came over from India in the 60s. People muddy two and it makes a mockery of the whole situation. Doctors and Nurses aren’t coming over on boats from France with no passports. People fleeing war don’t leave their families in danger and why would they track through multiple safe countries.

There is also the fact that a lot of people think our government j know exactly who these men are and that they are being brought over for other purposes, which is why they turn up at hotels, in the middle of the night, all in the same clothing. Or drumming up unrest to bring in more laws - but hey, you get a tin foil hatter for those.

There are obviously going to be some crimes committed by asylum seekers , partly because some people are criminals and partly because they are living wirh a vast amount of stress, they are vulnerable and desperate. I can't imagine how I'd feel if I didn't have a permanent home and didn't know if I would be allowed to stay in the country. My mental health would probably be terrible.

On the other hand, I would imagine that asylum seekers are often the victims of crime - racist hate, abuse from traffickers, gang masters and dodgy landlords.

No one commits rape because of stress. Why are there so few female sex offenders in comparison to male ones? Are men just 99x more stressed than women?

Good question

Yeah our kids seem to not have human rights anymore..

Exactly, I don't think many people have an issue with general immigration, that's completely different to undocumented men in small boats coming by the thousands that were expected to be happy to pay for 😡

A midwife from Jamaica during the great snow of 1963. Saved my mother and my brother when he was born prematurely. She handled the birth and health issues they had for three weeks. Coming every day in appalling weather conditions. They were both too sick to move in the blizzards.

I was only 7 and adored her.

Moat it then are from countries with war, conflict or a lot of violence or oppressive regimes. If you scroll a long way down in this article, you will see a bar chart showing that. Although I am attaching a screen shot for ease.

The trouble is that they are bringing their ideas with them - ideas formed in those war torn, aggressive, misogynistic, oppressive, chaotic, male-based regimes. And they are slowly turning the UK into an aggressive misogynistic chaotic oppressive male-based regime in keeping with their culture.

We already have cultural battles of our own to fight, as we have been doing for centuries. Women have had to fight for their rights here always. That does not mean we should welcome waves of male misogynistic reinforcements! Quite the reverse.

We also have our own changing (changed, really) culture from the post war set-up of informed consent and democracy to private ownership and control by elites. Again we don’t need reinforcements from male elitist dominant cultures in that either.

Perhaps the plethora of view points and difficulty of discerning who is pushing what agenda, why, evident on this thread, is a demonstration of exactly what the post war set up was trying to achieve. There are far too many political goals of elites in play here.

Nope just horny and entitled. They think we're all immoral anyway

justasking111 · 04/08/2025 13:28

I've just watched the Manchester protest someone filmed. There's elderly people walking in the crowds, many women. So the assertion by pp they're all criminals is erroneous.

Exactly! Just ordinary genuine concerned people! The same can be seen in the recent Epping protests. And Canary Wharf. The only people trying to stir up trouble and hate is the Antifas and the Stand up to Racism mob with their masks and manufactured placard - the same ones they take to all their protests.

I didn’t say or even imply men commit rape due to stress. That is clearly a ridiculous idea .

About the losing documents, I'm puzzled. How are they driving Ubers without a license? How are they working for deliveroo without ID? How do they get paid without bank accounts?

So I could set up an account as a deliveroo driver, but I obviously don't want to do the work as I have a well paid 9-5 job. So I "sublet" my deliveroo account to other people, numerous other people because one person can't work 24/7. They pay me a cut so they can use my account.

I repeat that for any other delivery service I can think of. Just eat, etc. If I want to really push it also DPD, Evri, etc.

So I make a nice profit for next to no effort.

We do still have a democracy. Informed consent, not so much

The pink protest is women wearing pink and singing. I think some prefer to highlight anyone bar that.

Actually evidence shows the opposite - that the number of rapes committed by men from countries like Afghanistan vastly outnumber those from white British men.

Dizzy thinks that’s ok though, as they are under a lot of stress.

You did even if you’re backtracking now. Your comment was the most excusing, mealy mouthed slap in women’s face that I’ve ever seen. Ever

I think we forget some of these men were trained as children given guns, taught how to use them. Because their countries were at war. They're hardened in a way we can't imagine

Wow you’re so full of denial that you’re even denying what you said! You come on here, a thread about a young 12 year old girl being raped and dismissed everyone by saying the perpetrators have mental health issues themselves and are the victims of crime, dodgy landlords and gangs! And have continued to deny, throughout the thread that there is a problem at all! Now you’re denying you’re denying there’s a problem! And denying ever saying it!

That’s what they want yes. Also to make ‘Islamophobia’ a crime.

Mumofnarnia · 04/08/2025 14:10

@dizzydizzydizzy This is exactly what you said… word for word!

“There are obviously going to be some crimes committed by asylum seekers” you said!

“partly because some people are criminals and partly because they are living wirh a vast amount of stress, they are vulnerable and desperate” you said! So by that you are saying that they are committing crimes like rape because they are desperate and stressed! Okay!

Not the best thing to put forward. No wonder women are saying no.
