Civil unrest, what's really going on?

1000 replies

Sadworld23 · 03/08/2025 17:02

My DH keeps chirping up with, there's riots here, protests there, immigrants have done assaults in xxx etc. He sees me as a bit of a do-gooder..

All UK places, but when I look at my regular news, there's very little reporting of it.

My DH has some MH issues currently and to confront him with 'what the heck are you reading?' isn't worth it right now.
I make comments such as, ooh that sounds grim and doesn't sound good, and that's very worrying, but I'd really like to know if it's really happening and where he's getting this info.

Are your reading and comprehension skills really that poor? Re read what I've written! You far righters are forcing people out of hotels and inti residential areas! Read it slowly.....houses are being bought all over my town and turned into HMOs! No I haven't got kids but it's me asking you far righters to stop forcing immigrants into these residential areas! We've got one coming into our suburb, it's wiping out the values of expensive homes, it's near schools and a walking route that women like me use - the far righters are creating this danger by forcing them out of hotels and into areas like mine! What on earth is your response meant to mean when I'm asking far righters to keep them in hotels and away from residential areas and schools!

Firstly I am not, and have never been a ‘far righter’ so please watch your language.

Secondly, it isn’t the ‘far righters’ moving immigrants into your expensive area - it is a lack of space and capacity. It is over spilling into your area because there are so many of them.

Lastly, if you did have children maybe you would understand why people are demanding safety. It’s not okay to wash over the facts.

Who do you think the men are at that same demonstration? Do you think the cohort has changed since all the events last year?
Last year isn't 'old' and nothing has happened to change the cohort of the vast majority who are men

Why Should anyone take anything you say seriously after one of your previous posts where you basically dismiss and deny people’s genuine concerns because there are crimes being committed already in the UK by its citizens so it doesn’t matter that more undocumented people come here via boat to commit more crimes! LOL

Yes that’s exactly what I’m saying, the cohort has changed. Look at the footage of the pink protests.

It’s going to get harder for Labour to rely on the ‘far right’ as a way to shut this down.

So the fact that he attacked someone and skipped the country hasn’t appeared on MSM?

Do you follow him on SM @CurlewKate?

Well, there was this on the BBC…https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c209p0v5plwo

Robinson is definitely a thug & had a record separate to his beliefs about politics. But honestly, watch the documentary. You don’t have to commit to believing it, or even like him. But it’s unarguable and jaw dropping.

FractionalKrispie · 04/08/2025 09:17

@YouSetTheTone

My point was - that crime, the worst crimes are mostly committed by men.

So rather than pointing the finger at one particular culture I COULD stereotype all men, incite hatred on ‘X’, advocate that they are not fit for modern society, isolated, held in detention centres etc.

I don’t think that’s the solution.

Can you point to where I dismissed and denied concerns? You can't, because I didn't. I simply pointed out that people are ONLY demonstrating when these crimes are committed by asylum seekers. If they truly care about sexual attackers, they should be demonstrating outside their houses too.

Where sexual assault is carried out by anyone, regardless of their colour or ethnicity, it needs to be dealt with.

And yes, it's bizarre that such a high percentage of male demonstrators, are themselves abusers.

PandoraSocks · 04/08/2025 09:24

I am sure some of the protesters are genuinely worried, but the fact is there are a lot of thugs using the protests as an excuse to vent their racism. The chap below for example.

Yes because they’re the only people who have nothing to lose by attending the marchers. There are many, many, many people who would like to peacefully attend but know as part of the shaming process they would be judged by people at work, possibly their friends and family, and assumptions made about them being racists or in favour of setting fire to immigrant hotels. Most people prioritise keeping their job and home over an issue which they see as seriously concerning but ‘others have picked up on’; or that can wait til tomorrow. It doesn’t mean ‘only thugs are against small boats’, otherwise why do you think there is such high support for Reform? Not every person in the poll saying they will vote for them are people who rioted last year and are marching now. There is a huge silent agreement with them, but the more intelligent, peaceful supporters won’t be attending those marches, for fears of character assassination and loss of employment.

Edited

You literally wrote this!

”You're looking for crimes committed by asylum seekers while ignoring the fact that thousands of crimes a day are committed by while British people. Who funnily enough, no-one is protesting about.”

Yes crimes are committed by British people all the time, our crime rates are high, we don’t need to add to the crime rates by allowing more criminals to enter the country try but that’s ok because admitting that doesn’t suit your narrative! You’re so much in denial it’s unreal. And your arguments about “well we have criminals here already so you know… a few more crimes committed by undocumented young males coming into the country via boats doesn’t really matter”. You are dismissing people’s concerns by saying we have crime here anyway! Your argument is old and is no longer washing with the general public but here you are still tying yourself in knots trying to prove why adding more criminals to the ones we already have here doesn’t matter! Pathetic!

No-one wants to see people come across on small boats.

The difference is, decent people don't blame the boat people for the UK's ills or use them as a scapegoat.

Reform has a lot of support, but the majority of the electorate don't support them.

Not sure it’s the “far righters”. The government are wanting to get them out of hotels (so they say) because of the cost.

On the contrary, they have more to lose then you and me. Because as they already have a criminal background, if arrested they're going to face a stronger punishment

As I said he’s a petty thug and criminal but sadly the only prominent person to raise concerns about the Islamic influence in the UK, probably because he’s a petty thug and criminal and has nothing to lose by doing so. There’s nobody else in a position to do it - in his documentary you will see teachers, a headteacher and people connected with the local council confirm the corruption and cover ups that went on to protect Islam and the Islamic immigration to the UK, and how they were all hushed up. It’s staggering.

I have no time for him as a person however and will never defend his convictions and an awful lot of his actions.

I don‘t mind but I do think he’s front and centre for some Labour posters and I wondered if they followed him on SM for that to happen (I don’t mean you btw)

What is wrong with you, what on earth is wrong with anything I've said! If far righters keep up trouble making outside hotels, they will move them to residential areas!

But no job, reputation etc to lose. They’ll get a stronger punishment but he glorifies his punishments - he sees them as proof he is a semi political prisoner.

MI5 are watching 40k possible terrorists in this country. Whatever watching means. Our army has 80k active soldiers. It was a Muslim stating this in an interview. There were 14k Hamas when the Israeli thing kicked off.

We need to be aware.

I don’t follow him on SM, but I keep an eye out for him since watching the documentary. He’s a marked man im guessing and he’s probably very skittish and easy to engage in a fight or ‘self defence’.
