Civil unrest, what's really going on?

My DH keeps chirping up with, there's riots here, protests there, immigrants have done assaults in xxx etc. He sees me as a bit of a do-gooder..

All UK places, but when I look at my regular news, there's very little reporting of it.

My DH has some MH issues currently and to confront him with 'what the heck are you reading?' isn't worth it right now.
I make comments such as, ooh that sounds grim and doesn't sound good, and that's very worrying, but I'd really like to know if it's really happening and where he's getting this info.

You're looking for crimes committed by asylum seekers while ignoring the fact that thousands of crimes a day are committed by while British people. Who funnily enough, no-one is protesting about.

There’s not much that can be done about people here except the usual legal system.

We can change how people arrive and vet males first.

Yes we have a massive problem with crime in this country as it is. Without bringing more and more undocumented young males arriving by boat into the mix. This is only adding to the crime rates. Not decreasing them, not making it ok somehow because yeah that’s ok we have crime in our country anyways. It’s ADDING to the crime rates we already have. What don’t you understand?

Re the Rotherham demonstration after the Stockport murders:
In Rotherham, where rioters set fire to an asylum hotel, 75 people were arrested, 35 of whom had been reported for domestic abuse, South Yorkshire police said.

At other demonstrations/riots around the country about asylum seekers, similar statistics were reported.

I think the usual we have crime here so let’s reduce security even more and increase it is losing its shine as an argument.

I honestly don’t understand the mentality of some people and why they constantly tie themselves in knots trying to justify the crimes that have been committed by new arrivals on boats is somehow ok because….. well….we have crime here anyway.

Well let’s hope Badenoch and her team are furiously working on a national strategy and a plan, because for those that want to avoid a Farage government our best hope is going to be the conservatives really coming together with a way out of this mess.

Are you really trying to use a single demo that involves some women (as well as a whole load of masked men) to deny that there's an issue with the type of people attending these demonstrations? The official statistics are there.

Of course if the people turning up are women and children your line of attack is out of date already.

I'm simply pointing out that a lot of that people demonstrating/rioting are criminals themselves. Which is somewhat ironic given the reasons they're claiming for being there.

A few women turning up at a single demonstration doesn't negate that.

Your information is old. Women and children doing a pink protest at CW is more recent and does lead to new insight. Even if it doesn’t fit with what you want to say.

Read it slowly.....houses are being bought all over my town and turned into HMOs! No I haven't got kids but it's me asking you far righters to stop forcing immigrants into these residential areas! We've got one coming into our suburb, it's wiping out the values of expensive homes, it's near schools and a walking route that women like me use - the far righters are creating this danger by forcing them out of hotels and into areas like mine! What on earth is your response meant to mean when I'm asking far righters to keep them in hotels and away from residential areas and schools!

People live in inner city areas where these hotels are located, but as long as the property prices aren't dented in your naice suburb, that's all that matters, eh.

Who do you think the men are at that same demonstration? Do you think the cohort has changed since all the events last year?
Last year isn't 'old' and nothing has happened to change the cohort of the vast majority who are men

How do we know the masked men are right wing? At the gender critical demonstrations and events counter protestors wore masks (and were violent). Maybe these masked men are actually anti protest and hope to get it shut down? Do the articles say the men are right wing? Have their faces been published?

Robinson is 2 things; a petty criminal and thug, and also spot on regarding Islam in many ways (I don’t always agree with the way he expresses it though, let me be clear). His documentary was absolutely jaw dropping - you can’t argue with it as he covertly filmed witnesses who disproven awful lot of the narrative around his slander case. I didn’t want it to be true. But it was.

If you watch that, and still don’t think there is an issue with coverups and nepotism regarding Islamically influenced politics, then you’re lying. There are many shady characters out there pretending to be left wing to sneak their religious beliefs through as law. It’s terrifying.
