Civil unrest, what's really going on?

My DH keeps chirping up with, there's riots here, protests there, immigrants have done assaults in xxx etc. He sees me as a bit of a do-gooder..

All UK places, but when I look at my regular news, there's very little reporting of it.

My DH has some MH issues currently and to confront him with 'what the heck are you reading?' isn't worth it right now.
I make comments such as, ooh that sounds grim and doesn't sound good, and that's very worrying, but I'd really like to know if it's really happening and where he's getting this info.

I saw a news article last week. There was a Muslim councillor who stated that women were eye candy and needed to dress in a way that men didn't notice them. He was quite matter of fact about it.

None of this is new. Any political party wanting to gain mass levels of support quickly will ALWAYS use immigrants as a focus.

In fact it is so predictable for an extreme politician that it is now a red flag for me for any politician use talks about it in very simple terms.

This is because it’s easy to make the issue look simple. In fact the only time it wasn’t used by an extreme party was Trump- who actually used the trans-issue instead, but in the same way.

I’m sure the police bungle and mishandle rape cases all the time. I don’t trust the police in the slightest. But you don’t have a shred of evidence for your claim that it’s only the cases of white rapists that they bungle - you seem to think there’s a 100% conviction rate for non-white/immigrant rapists and 0% for white ones.
