Why did they have cctv in their house? Isn’t that a bit weird?

not necessarily

Also, how do we know they split up a few weeks ago and that she was out the night before and the kids were being babysat? Where does all this info come from?

Have posters said this?

If you look further back, a new poster to the thread says this.
I have reported, as has another poster. Mumsnet have not deleted.

The two of them are obviously police or close to police. Maybe they know each other or are expressing solidarity with having to cope with people on an internet forum talking.

There you go jumping to incorrect conclusions based on no evidence, again.

Nicknacky · 08/02/2023 20:31

Where is the evidence of criminality? Not being found in the water so far does not automatically make it a criminal enquiry.

Do you work for Lancashire Constabulary or a different police force?

@ofwarren please do start a new thread when this fills up. I’ll be back tomorrow when all the police officers have gone back to work.

confusedlots · 08/02/2023 20:34

At the risk of sounding like I've gone mad, there are now quite a lot of photos of Nicola out in the public domain including quite a lot of her out walking. She always has her hair down in these photos, I can't see any where she has it tied back. But it's tied back in the CCTV images

Goldpaw · 08/02/2023 20:34

Nicknacky · 08/02/2023 20:26

Sorry, but I don’t understand your reply to my post?

Not everything she has said is right, so people wonder what other parts of what she's said have also been wrong.

Having got basic details incorrect leads people to wonder about the investigation as a whole.

puppacup · 08/02/2023 20:34

Anyone else wondering where this huge number of pp in support of the police have suddenly come from?

I posted on the previous thread but have had things to do today so couldn't be on the thread much.

All of these people telling us it shouldn’t be a criminal investigation despite the volume of facts piling up that indicates the opposite is true?

Posters have only posted out that a missing person case isn't automatically a criminal case. That doesn't mean they support the police. Why would you conflate the two?

Nicknacky · 08/02/2023 20:31

The lack of NB and there being not even one shred of evidence she is in the river.

Where is the evidence of criminality in the Claudia Lawrence case? And yet it turned into a murder enquiry 5 weeks in.

A few of the newspapers have a photo of her with her hair up.

Different police force.

puppacup · 08/02/2023 20:35

This thread is batshit!

What conclusions have I jumped to that are incorrect?

Other than potentially this one...

Mirabai · 08/02/2023 20:36

I know @Nicknacky is a detective but I’m not sure why she feels the need too defend poor decisions other police forces make.

PF himself ruling out Nicola was in the river at all. How can they ignore all of this?

It was the same last night when I questioned what had been said at the press briefing.

Because they're qualified to make decisions like that, and have all the relevant information. Whereas he's not qualified to make decisions like that and doesn't necessarily have all the relevant information.

Why would police officers opinions not be welcomed to you?

I hadn’t heard this although when he first spoke I thought it did sound like they weren’t together.

i think she was seeing her boss the night before, he had come from keighley which is quite far and that was why her parents were babysitting I think?

Letitiacropleyscookbook · 08/02/2023 20:37

I’m honestly not meaning to be flippant, but I wonder how many Happy Valley refugees have migrated to these threads?

earsup · 08/02/2023 20:37

When it all goes quiet and no police statements...there is usually an arrest made quite soon....I expect to see this happen....

In all fairness you have no idea if the police are wrong yet, will you be on here apologising if they are right!

ofwarren · 08/02/2023 20:39

There is a new thread on the News board for when this one is full.

Ruling out potential criminal involvement and putting all the focus on drowning it’s zero evidence she was ever in the water. If her body is never found in the river indeed if it is ever found elsewhere they have made a major mistake.

I can't be bothered trawling back through pages of inane comments, sorry.

Maybe I've jumped to incorrect conclusions myself and wrongly assumed you're one of the ones talking shite. If that's the case then please accept my apology.

Blessedwithsunshine · 08/02/2023 20:40

Nicknacky · 08/02/2023 20:37

What poor decisions have I defended?

Do you honestly believe there is ZERO chance of foul play?
