yes, bunglie, i thought that might be the case, do u want me to carry on googling?

Bunglie · 29/07/2004 10:34

Good grief...talk about typos! I DO have a space bar, it just seems I did not press it hard enough! New keyboard?????

Bunglie · 29/07/2004 10:37

Any help would be much appreciated M27.
Curiosity, How have you time with seven little angels? When I had two I was run off my feet, I think you must be VERY well organised, oh boy would you like to come and sort me out now and as you know, I have no little angels, just disorganised!

Bunglie · 29/07/2004 10:38

I just realise that I keep calling you M27, I do not mean to imply that you are a motorway!

mummytosteven · 29/07/2004 10:38

i'm mummy to "steven" not "seven"!

Bunglie · 29/07/2004 10:40

Oops!
S-O-R-R-Y

mummytosteven · 29/07/2004 10:41

tho quite fancy being a motorway!!!

MeanBean · 29/07/2004 10:53

I actually thought for a long time that you were mummy to seven as well...

SpudBrain · 31/07/2004 19:14

Hiya,
Spudbrain here and VERY worried about Cheeseball. Please Bunglie do you have ANY news??
I have been there and I do understand, all that you have said is true, no children, no home! Which is very hard when it is not your fault that you have not got your kids, I think Cheeseball must fee as if the world has ended for her, I know I did, but in just a few months I have managed to move out of my abusive relationship, slept on a few friends floors and then I went to a shelter who directed me to a womens hostel where I am now. I hope to move in the next few days
If Cheeseball lives in S. London I will meet with her and 'walk' her through the options, but it is a nightmare if there is no one to help you, I had friends but she must be feeling so low. Please please Bunglie, give her my love. You know all of my story and you have my permission to tell her everything, (you daft bunglie, you didn't have to email and ask, but it was nice of you to do so. ANYTHING I can do I will.

I have heard of this Rally from one of the other mums, (the one who lends me her laptop for doing her laundry), But there are 7 of us from here going. You are sooooo right, I can not stress that it is not just for 'Forgotten Mother's' because potentially any mother could be in our situation until the laws are changed, especially if you have a special needs child. We will see you there Bunglie, (I might have my own place by then????.
I am making a poster to put up in the hostel, how about if you got people to contact you and we will make the posters and they can display them in youth clubs, works places etc. That way we feel as if we are helping and to be honest we do get a bit bored.
In summary.

  1. We are with you Cheeseball, contact Bunglie and things WILL work out. Hugs to you.
  2. Will mothers who live in the london area consider going to a PEACEFUL RALLY, for all the family, to protest PEACEFULLY about the draconian laws that allow families to have their children taken away. If you can't go, and make it a good family day out, will you put up a poster publisizing the event? 2pm 28th August, Trafalgar Square. Love to all, I think I will have to do her ironing if I want to use her computer again, at this rate easier to go to the library, but closed on Sundays. XXXXX
edam · 31/07/2004 20:30

Hey Spudbrain, good to hear from you. This may be an insensitive question, but would I be able to bring ds, 1, to Trafalgar Square? Completely understand if that might be upsetting for some mothers but difficult for me to make it if not.
Second question, how do I get hold of these posters?
And message for Cheeseball in case she's reading but not posting: we care about you and want you to be safe. Have you considered going to a refuge? I think Citizen's Advice Bureaux would know of one, or Women's Aid?

edam · 31/07/2004 20:32

So sorry Cheeseball, hadn't read all the messages before posting how stupid of me.

Bunglie · 01/08/2004 19:22

Hi Spudbrain, it was good to talk this afternoon, I know Cheeseball will be grateful.....Can't tell just yet, but it is good news for Cheeseball.
The PEACEFUL RALLY is FOR Families, so DS will be very welcome as will anychild. You can make it a family day out. I am not too good at links but will post one later to the site, you can then print off their poster....If not I can post you one.
I Am really, really, busy but I promise when I have finished doing what I can't tell you about YET....for our own Cheeseball, I will post.
Cheeseball is REALLY "Gobsmacked", "They want to help me?" she said, and has asked me to pass on a big Thank you to all. She has said that I can tell M27, the area she lives in, just in case current plans fall through. She lives in SW London, Near a place where King John signed the Magna Carter!
Sorry, could have just put area but not so much fun, this way you will never forget where the Magna Carter was signed. So, when you are on Millionaire and win some money when they ask you that question, you will send Cheesball some money !!!!!!! (In our dreams!)

mummytosteven · 01/08/2004 19:46

Hi Bunglie, glad to hear that Cheeseball seems to have something sorted out (fingers/legs etc crossed for her). I'll hang fire on making any enquiries for now - just let me know if there is anything else I can do to help. Now just need to google to double check magna carta answer - think I know!!

mummytosteven · 01/08/2004 19:57

bunglie - looked it up, but still none the wiser -now I need to look in an atlas

Bunglie · 01/08/2004 20:12

I'll give you a BIG clue........

He signed it on an island in the middle of a river .......

called........

Magna Carter Island....Hee Heeeee [grin}

mummytosteven · 01/08/2004 20:20

bunglie - i've found the name but can't for the life of me relate it to London - hence atlas needed

Bunglie · 01/08/2004 20:27

She lives NEAR to this place, but is in a London Borough! Sorry for obvious reasons can't give out too much info, but when you find it you will see that 3 counties all merge in this area (on a bridge, so it depends which side of the bridge you live on, but as I said she is NEAR to this place). She lives in the London Borough/County!
Go on you know it really!

edam · 01/08/2004 22:57

Oh Bunglie, I do hope these plans work out for Cheeseball... my very, very, very best wishes to her. Do remind her that we are all willing her on. And aren't you a bit of a star!
Glad to hear ds will be welcome at the rally, it's in my diary, just need that link.

edam · 01/08/2004 22:58

I thought Magna Carta was signed at Runymede... isn't that somewhere near Richmond?

kalex · 01/08/2004 22:59

Please tell Cheeseball that although I have no useful advice, she, you and all other lost mothers are always in my thoughts and prayers,

My love to you all ((((((((((())))))))))

It's too long to copy here, but this in today's Telegraph is possibly of interest.

Bunglie · 04/08/2004 11:28

I am sure you will join me in wishing Cheeseball all the best in her NEW HOME, she moves this weekend to a hostel only temp. Believe it or not, Spudbrain is leaving and Cheeseball is moving in. Everything seems to have worked out well for both of them. Spudbrain should take the credit for all of this, so THANK YOU spudbrain, and ALL best wishes in your new home. It is good also to know that you and Cheeseball have become good friends, can offer each other support and don't forget to explain to Cheeseball the deal with 'doing the laundry' for use of the laptop, as we want to know how she is getting on.
Best of luck to you both and I hope that this is start to a happier chapter of both of your lives.

Sorry guys but I have to put this....well I don't but I am.....when I think of the two of you, Spudbrain and Cheeseball, I get a lovely picture of a baked potato oozing with melted cheese...Sorry!! I am not really a canabal!

Bunglie · 04/08/2004 11:29
