On New Year's Eve women in Cologne were amongst those who were sexually assaulted and robbed in mass attacks.

We also hope that tomorrow, Monday 8th February, David TC Davies MP will be on MN for a web chat between 1pm and 2pm - it should be a sticky on either Chat or In The News. David was one of the few MPs who has shown any interest in this whole issue and who has responded sympathetically to those of us concerned about women's rights in a changing world.

Just to reiterate, my concern and anger is in regard to the refusal of politicians (especially Labour) and mainstream media to address the specific issue of male migrant sexual violence against European women out of misguided political correctness. I don't think all migrants do this (of course not) but it is a fact that the incidence of rape and sexual violence committed by migrant men is significant and real.

I think we can all agree that sexual violence must be addressed urgently. However, where necessary contextual factors such as mass migration by lone men needs to be explored, analysed discussed and dealt with. Not half-heartedly but clearly and firmly. NO more hand ringing or we will see me right-wind action on Europe' street, something I would be very afraid of.

All people will suffer as a result of governments and the EU commission not addressing crime in the context of migration. It is a specific context and needs to be handled as such. PC glasses need to be taken off and rule and order reestablished.

This needs to be death with by politicians, civil society and mainstream media (yes, you BBC, and you Guardian!! Telegraph are doing ok, shan't mention Daily fail, we are all guilty of it)

Good post vlad. Nobody should be assumed to be a terrorist, rapist, child molester, etc based on their religion, origin or skin colour but nor should anybody be put at risk from terrorists, rapists, child molesters, etc because of a fear that open discussion may be decried as racist or xenophobic

BadlyBehaved ...... I am inclined to agree with Britt's psychoanalyst friend as well. I think what will potentially happen eventually is that rather than 'our' men demanding that they change attitudes to adapt to our moral and social framework, we will be expected to adapt our behaviour as women because it will be perceived as easier to achieve.

Britt I know its a bit off topic but it makes me really cross that the blame for the state of the NHS is laid at the feet of the people who have a genuine right to use it. I don't know why the rules were ever changed but it has definitely led to the poor state it is in now.

Britt please take no notice of Emily, she is mostly pretty hysterical, it's what gets her a rise. Don't rise to it.

As I said DH had to go through the residency process, but it was 20 years ago nearly, the rules have changed, so Britt was quite correct about that being procedure at one point a while ago, just not now.

It seems that it doesn't matter how young the girl to these men or whether a woman is with small children they think it's ok. I don't think anyone round our way muslim or not would think it's remotely ok to go after little girls or women with children.

I would say this about anyone whatever colour/race/religion etc. We had a colleague who was imprisoned for child sex offences (very serious ones) who was white British and there was a huge sense of revulsion from everyone at work (you kind of felt horror at the contact you'd had). You feel the same way whatever the persons origin.

This is the mixing up of all peoples, no borders, it is a model of totalitarian rule on a global scale Apparently the senior hierarchy of every country knows of it (not sure about N. Korea though) and has agreed to it. The EU bloc is the start, and that has taken 40 years. There are only finite resources available and 'they' believe their plan is the best. It will take decades to get there.

Don't forget that democracy is only 250 years old. A person's life can change forever in one day. My parents' lives did. You may think this is off-topic, but it is not because (to me) it explains the eagerness of Mrs Merkel and even Austria, the latter I have always seen as inward-looking, to take in so many unchecked people. Their identities are unverifiable because ..... it is no longer relevant.

Liberals also need to stop treating their fellow citizens as if they were closet Nazis. It is no good screaming that they are “racists”, like some no-platforming student dogmatist. Some may be. I lived overseas for many, many years. Once during a trip to the UK I needed emergency GP treatment and a prescription. I knew I wasn't entitled to free treatment, so tried to present my insurance card/wad of cash. I was looked at as though I had two heads - none of the people I spoke to had any idea how to process someone wanting to pay...

But it is not entirely off-topic because the increase in population is causing us some problems in accessing what we have paid for. I am fed up of talking heads on TV going on about patients being more demanding or the elderly living longer and suggesting those are main reasons for £ crisis in the NHS. The reason for the zipcode lottery is entirely manufactured; no patients should be refused certain medications or treatments but they are because the sums allocated to each Region vary dramatically.

What kind of medicine is it that thinks seeing an outpatient 3 or 4 months after initial contact is good medicine? You are just left to get on with it. It is happening because of two things (i) increase in population thru immigration, and (ii) EU people who travel to England for operations rather than stay in their own countries for treatment. (I don't know why they do that).

The building of hospitals, or extensions, just have not kept up with population increase. And there is no excuse for this, because the amount of money Revenue receives from smokers is astronomical.

maybe this is what it was! It was an emergency and no other GP in Maida Vale or nearby could apparently take me on.

I agree It was quite funny though as it was my first ever contact with the NHS and i was rather surprised.

Britt I quite agree with you, it makes me so cross when the elderly are blamed for bed blocking etc when they are entitled to NHS care and no mention is given to the health tourists. Both of my DD's work in the NHS, one in GP practice and one in hospital, you would be amazed at some of their stories.

vladimirsoftless - yes that's a good summary - and you wouldn't think some thing so simple as to explore these facts, (migrants committing these attacks) that have emerged from Cologne could meet such resistance.

But I think we are pushing through these taboos thankfully.

Albeit with a small, already enlightened group. It does seem somewhat "preaching to the choir". :(
