thanks for keeping this thread alive, all.

LumpySpacedPrincess · 12/09/2015 11:39

Tom Watson is now the deputy leader of the labour party, let's hope that he uses his voice for good.

AHypnotistCollector · 14/09/2015 03:18

The Westminster abuse ring murder inquiry has been dropped. Supposedly due to lack of evidence. I wonder if the fact that the main witness, who was described as trustworthy and credible previously, has had his son removed from his care or at least threatened with it.

AHypnotistCollector · 14/09/2015 03:21

sorry the above post should say I wonder if the situation with his son has anything to do with it. Seems to me they are trying to shut him up but maybe I'm too cynical.

lastuseraccount123 · 15/09/2015 17:45

anything is possible

redshoeblueshoe · 18/09/2015 09:16

CFSKate I watched these on the news this week with despair. How can they (Scotland Yard) say they no longer believe Nick and then the day after say they are looking into a further 13 cases of police corruption surrounding covering up. I've either had a bang on the head or this makes no fucking sense at all

hackmum · 18/09/2015 09:53

It's all very strange. All along Nick has been their key witness, and they've said he was "credible". If they no longer believe Nick is credible, why not? And do they have any other evidence apart from what he has told them?

redshoeblueshoe · 18/09/2015 10:24

I also do not believe they would have spent so much time and money investigating this if they only had one witness.

claig · 18/09/2015 12:47

I read somewhere (can't find the link) where Tom Watson said that we have to be careful about some of the claims in case they may be an attempt to discredit all of the claims.

I saw Harvey Proctor on TV and he seemed convincing (of course I may be wrong). It is possible that he could be being set up in order for the claims to be exposed as false later on in order to discredit other claims against other figures. It wouldn't be anything to do with the police, since they have to act on accusations. The BBC gave the accusations by 'Nick' lots of publicity and granted him a long interview. I don't know how much publicity and interviews they have given to other accusers.

LumpySpacedPrincess · 18/09/2015 17:54

That's a well known technique claig, kinda like the straw man argument. Create something purely to knock it down.

claig · 18/09/2015 18:13

Exactly, Lumpy. That is the sort of strategy the Establishment would probably try. Drag the whole thing out over years, build up one or two cases and give them lots of publicity only to have them collapse later due to lack of evidence in order to discredit all the other accusations which never received all the publicity.

redshoeblueshoe · 19/09/2015 11:58

But Harvey Proctor denied everything before his trial in 1987 - then plead guilty.

Yourethe1formefatty · 19/09/2015 20:41

Echoes of Stephen Messham...

Cheekychip · 19/09/2015 23:57

It struck me today that it had all been very quiet in the news about the Westminster paedophile investigations so I did a google search and there's not a great deal out there.
I found this: independent
Then I decided to look on mumsnet and found this thread.

Most people have forgotten about this haven't they?
There is zero investigative journalism going on. No protests or campaigns.
The absence of any coverage makes it all even more deeply worrying Sad

caroldecker · 20/09/2015 00:16

Why, when 80% of peodophiles abuse girls and all the recent prosecutions are of men who have abused girls, is there a hidden cabel of homosexual abusers?
Is this a hatred of homosexuals?

ouryve · 20/09/2015 00:20

No, most people haven't forgotten about this. Most people are wondering wtf else has gone on but have lives to lead which don't involve idle speculation.

yolofish · 20/09/2015 01:28

Front page news in Saturday's Sun (sorry, sorry, and cant link because I dont know how) is about how the 'red docket' files have gone missing. Basically these are files naming names but they have somehow, quite mysteriously disappeared. Hmm.

LumpySpacedPrincess · 20/09/2015 08:46

link

LumpySpacedPrincess · 20/09/2015 08:50

It's not a hatred of homosexuals carol, it's a hatred of children (boys and girls) being used and abused and the whole thing being covered up.

AHypnotistCollector · 20/09/2015 19:39

Also in the daily mail

www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3241861/Claims-police-cover-NINE-unsolved-murders-young-boys.html#ixzz3mIhpTf50

So they are still investigating these murders as possibly being linked to the Establishment abuse ring?

caroldecker · 20/09/2015 23:22

Lumpy Considering 80% of paedophiles are hetrosexual, where are the rumours/names of the hidden Establishment hetrosexuals? Or is it only gay paedophiles hidden in the Establishment?
Maybe if all Establishment homosexuals were removed, there would be no problems?

LumpySpacedPrincess · 22/09/2015 07:51

carol, there are lots and lots of rumours about heterosexual celebrities / members of the establishment. This is not a with hunt against homosexuals and it derails the argument every time someone says that.
