GeneralEyes the Australian programme was on a couple of weeks ago, it is available online,
I think this is it on youtube

GeneralEyes · 06/08/2015 09:56

Kate - thanks for the link. Sorry not to respond til now - I'm in bed with something similar to what is referenced in your username! I hope you are well.

What a shocking documentary - I have watched it now. I can't say anything more insightful than that - I'm just shocked and horrified and saddened.

Does anyone have any thoughts about the demise of Kids Company and the timing? Like others I can't believe how the Heath thing isn't constant headline news. Whenever it's mentioned they just wheel out some aide who worked with him who swears blind they would have known if anything untoward was going on. Reminds me of Savile's secretary when the news broke.

CFSKate · 06/08/2015 10:09

How can anyone say, "I worked with him, so I know he wasn't a paedophile"?
People have been married to paedophiles without knowing.

suzanneyeswecan · 06/08/2015 10:29

quite so Kate

suzanneyeswecan · 06/08/2015 10:33

GeneralEyes I heard Bill Maloney on LBC last night, alleging (among other things) that Camila Batmanghelidjh of kids club had recently given a list of pedophiles to Cameron.

meglet · 06/08/2015 11:09

general yy, I was pondering a link too. Not much surprises me any more.

lastuseraccount123 · 06/08/2015 18:27

agreed Kate.

I mean, are people REALLY so naive as to think Ted Heath would have brought child victims into his cabinet office and buggered them in front of the staff?

as. if.

lastuseraccount123 · 06/08/2015 18:27

(though, on second thoughts....nothing would surprise me anymore)

suzanneyeswecan · 06/08/2015 18:32

'they' seem to think that the public are naive and will just accept the word of those in positions of authority ?

lastuseraccount123 · 06/08/2015 20:25

before the internet, "they" would have been right though i also think some people have questioned "authority" for a long time but never had any ability to go public, IYKWIM.

but now, HA. Cat's out of the bag and yowling.

We are crying out for our edward snowden. Someone please put this stuff online.

Alchemist · 06/08/2015 22:14

I come from a place in the North. A boyfriend, who was in care and older, used to take me "down the home". This was in the early 80s and he would get £ to go to the shops from the home (10 Regal and cheap beer/cider) but had to be at the home by 10.30pm.

He told me things which I didn't believe then but I do now. PB I'm so sorry.

Alchemist · 06/08/2015 22:36

I didn't mean to bold.

lastuseraccount123 · 06/08/2015 22:46

aww Alchemist.

do you know where he is now? would you come forward and report what he told you?

makingmiracles · 06/08/2015 22:57

Its horrid, out of approx 10-12 prison sentences being handed out in the uk every day, almost half are child sex abuse related Sad

what shocked me the most was the other day I was told about a website online (sorry cant remember the name of it) which is still up and running-hasn't been shut down by police, and its basically a dating website for peados whereby men and women date then have babies for the sole purpose of abusing them and/or pimping them out to other people, I almost vomited, I am mindblown that this exists and dumbfounded that it hasn't been shut down Sad

there have been rumors also that esther R is/was involved in the coverup by somehow filtering childline calls about child sex abuse.

I literally cannot look at any celebrities in the same light again, every single one is a potential paedo in my eyes, its awful.

Garlick · 06/08/2015 23:02

Alchemist, you can contact both Crime Stoppers and Exaro News anonymously, if you are worried about being identified. They would know how to contact PB if not already in touch.

Contacting the police for the region where it happened is also an option, of course. You can do this simply by ringing 101.

Hundreds of people are in a similar position: piecing things together and finding the confidence to share their info :)

LumpySpacedPrincess · 07/08/2015 16:03

It's not just Politicians and celebrities though is it? Every town has men we all know are paedophiles and yet nothing is ever done. They are protected as they invariably hold a position of some sort of local power.

There was a chap on the bbc the other day who insisted Heath could not have abused anyone as he was always with a copper or secret service agent etc.

This could be a game changer, if the public know for sure that he was an abuser they will know for sure that powerful organisations were covering it up.

suzanneyeswecan · 07/08/2015 16:23

This could be a game changer, if the public know for sure that he was an abuser they will know for sure that powerful organisations were covering it up

but dont we already know that powerful organisations have covered things up Lumpy?
With Saville, Leon Britten, and the fiasco over whether Greville Janner has dementia

the wealthy and powerful protect the wealthy and powerful, it goes without saying

LumpySpacedPrincess · 07/08/2015 17:28

I think the fact that a prime minister abused when he was watched 24/7 by security forces is different though, he literally did not have a moment alone.

I think it could be a wake up call to a lot of people.

Garlick · 07/08/2015 18:07

Would you mind doing and sharing this 3-question poll about levels of concern regarding CSA? It's brand-new today, but we'd like to get masses of response if shared widely - it could help keep the issue in the news.

Alchemist · 07/08/2015 18:42

Thank you. PB later went on to stealing, heroin, armed robberies and all sorts of terrible stuff.

I heard he died about 10 years ago.

I really am sorry.

Did the poll.

workshyfop · 07/08/2015 22:59

Done the poll and shared Garlick

Garlick · 07/08/2015 23:48

Thanks, work and alchemist! I'm sorry to hear about PB's sad story Flowers

LumpySpacedPrincess · 08/08/2015 11:09

Done the poll and shared.

BeyondTheWall · 08/08/2015 14:11

Done garlick, will share later :)

BeyondTheWall · 08/08/2015 14:13

Could you post the normal link so i can c&p it?
