Just read a tweet where it is suggested former MP George Galloway feels that once a woman decides to have a sex with a men he can have sex with her subsequently, while she sleeps, as the man doesn't need consent for each "insertion"! In his view, this does not constitute rape. WTF! This is his defence of the allegations against Assange.

I do think it's true that many men do not understand what rape actually is. They do not understand that penetration (horrible word) without consent is rape. If both parties are drunk, if she didn't say no, resist, was flirting with him - these aren't rape according to some men.

I do also think some men (and maybe some women, especially of an older generation) see a difference between stranger rape and rape between 2 individuals who know each other, even if they just met that evening.

People need educating on what rape is and to not "laugh off their bad sexual etiquette" when actually they are rapists.
