Ali yeap it is a lovely itailian resturant opened last year, (just round the corner from the steak bar that served my dinner to someonelse)
dh had chicken with mozerella & ham, I had seabass, ds & dd2 had a 10" pepperoni pizza each and dd1 had 1/2 portion of pasta Alfredo, no deserts tonight but we all had drinks, so it really was good value for £37, and every time you go you get a stamp so after 10 meals you get a bottle of house wine

Right going to have lunch and then potter about today doing bits & bobs
brought cleaning stuff out with me when I brought ds to Gaelic and cleaned the car while I waited, must get dh to check my temp when he gets home

FreakoidOrganisoid · 10/07/2010 15:18

It's ok now. I have reclined, read a book, eaten lunch x 2(forgot I'd already had lunch )and some chocolate and am about to laze about a bit more before doing the ironing and getting ready to go out for a drink with a friend this eve. Feels like the life of riley right now (who is riley and why was his life so good??)

Alicetheinvisible · 11/07/2010 08:30

Morning

Got a huge mountain of clean washing to sort, so that is my mission today.

Mini my fantasy (as far as house is concerned) apart from winning obscene amounts on the euro millions is to hire one of those people who do home organisation. You know, they come in, go through everything, help you chuck stuff/recycle etc then sort out suitable storage, help you set up a system and sort your paperwork. Kind of like having a parent do all the hard stuff for you

Must go, horses to do, child to dress etc, be back later

wastingaway · 11/07/2010 09:54

Morning!

Mmm, raspberry icecream, yum.

Alice, I've gotten quite good at decluttering, it's the being organised afterward I still struggle at. Need more Ikea.

Hello Yesterday was basically a write off, I was so tired I needed another nap when DS had his and so we got nothing done.

What toy storage do people have? We have a big seagrass chest in the dining room at the moment which I'm going to move to DS' room now that we've cleared out his ride on caterpillar and few other 'baby' toys, just wondering what to replace it with. Thinking something with compartments for lego/trainset etc.

Ali, we've got a set of plastic drawers. Much better to have compartments for all the little bits now.
Depends what space you have as well. I think JKS got the [http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/60071358 Expedit?]] and then you can put baskets in all the bottom spaces for DC stuff and use higher shelves for scissors and laptops etc.
That's what I'd get if I was buying from scratch.

Good question freakoid here's the answer (useless info I know )www.answerbag.com/q_view/820072

JKS I would love my DC to be immaculate at all times, but I know it would be impossible!! In fact I have just run the the little ones a bath because they look like street urchins!!

Ali Ditto, about yesterday being a write off!!

My head is a little fuzzy today, last night we had a family gathering at a local hoilday park to see my uncle do his act, he is a singer/stand up comedian, it was a great night but very emotional, he dedicated a song to my grandad who died 7 months ago. and today is my Nans birthday, the first one in 50 years that my grandad with here.

Bath little ones and do something with DDs very messy hair.
Put away clean clothes
Wrap pressie and write card
Meet the family at the beach at 2.30 for fish and chips (the way my nan wants to celebrate her birthday)

Thanks rainbow

Ali I have a trofast for toys. Duplo in one drawer, cars in another, music stuff in another etc. Then the trainset (wooden) is in the drawer under ds' bed (too much of it to go anywhere else). Also have a big ikea wooden box with all the big stuff in (garage, bricks etc), various boxes under beds etc and a little baskety thing a bit like this for all the bits, barbies and other assorted crap. My dc have so many toys Blimmin relatives and friends keep buying them!

Oh plum [disappointed] Got a bit excited then, have never actually ttc but have heard people talk about temperatures in relation to it so thought that was what you were up to!

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 11/07/2010 14:28

It's a bit cooler here too JKS, have got a nice breeze blowing through upstairs so hopefully it won't be so hot at bedtime! Our room was 27 when we went to bed last night, horrid.

I will have a look at Expedit - we have original 50's/60's wooden furniture in that room so need to find something that fits in.

Freak sorry x-posts! Trofast looks good too, but I need something BIG to fit everything in. We have got tons of toys too, DS has a bookcase in his room which has got most of his books plus a couple of baskets for toys - also got a big net thing full of soft toys, plus a big chest full and a couple of extra boxes with lego, trainset, cars/road mat/airport etc. Too much really, which is why I've cleared some out today to make way for the influx at his birthday in 2 weeks.......
