Good morning.
Internet was being temperamental last night which, according to teenagers means the end of their existence. By the time I managed to get it sorted and DCs placated I was too tired to type. So missed you all.
Yesterday was not as productive as I had hoped. Spent much too much time on the phone trying to get the embassies to agree. Mmm - it is nothing exciting. We adopted our youngest daughter from Russia 10 years ago and she has dual nationality. We are going on holiday to Greece in June and I need to know what the Greeks are going to need to allow her in the country without an embarrassing load of questions at the airport. But the greeks say they need one thing, the Russians say they wont give it....it is more of the beaurocratic nightmare we had throughout the adoption. I am going to try emailing instead today and see if I get any further.
OM - Before you know it you will have your 6'1" lump back with enough washing for a month and you will be annoyed with him within an hour of his arrival.
MrsGok - My only words for you are "oh Dear". I hope today is an improvement.
MrsD - I hope the impetigo disappears soon and you dont go crazy in the house today.
Waves to SC DWM MissB Ellie and Welcome back to swanriver and to everyone I have inevitably missed.
Pigeon update - I am very pleased to report that they seem to have found a new home and have gone off the idea of sitting on our sky dish bracket. I think that the broom handle poked up their bum could have had something to do with it. I will be ready if they dare to return.
Governors meeting was .....errrr.......interesting yesterday.
Parents evening was .......errrrr .......doubly interesting. Boys are definitely different from girls!! I think DS needs the broom stratigically put where it worked for the pigeon!!!! He will always take the easy option and do as little work as possible - and probably a lot less than is asked for! Teachers "moaning" about lack of homework is like water off a ducks back. My girls would all be horrified if they had not done everything asked of them and spent ages making it as good as they could. Quite a bit of ear bending last night!!!
Today I plan to get on top of things before the half term. DH off next week, so very little will be done then. DD4 is off for a camp this weekend so I need to get her packed today and drive her there straight after school.
Absolutely freezing cold here. DH just off for a cycle - mad man!!
Hope you all have a day.
