Stealing Ali's title as just realised we're out of room, and hopefully all lost slatterns will find us!!!

Have found some to borrow. Still no sign of his though

DS has p*ssed in the fireplace today, smeared soot everywhere, and judging by the shape of my computer chair... broken that too. (Of course luckily we took the now less broken one to the tip the other week )

Went hysterical because DH had to go out, so now he is probably feeling guilty for leaving me, I feel ashamed that I put him through it.

Urgh.

PlumBumMum · 05/09/2009 14:58

Flame what age is ds again, would he benefit from a sticker chart or something for peeing in the right place

I haven't got much done, and my head is abit fuzzy with the cold,

I really need to start somewhere and I have my first cake to make this week for my cousins dds 1st B'day, so need kitchen spotless

Flame - my sympathies re the wee in the fireplace incident. So far DS has weed on his changing table (still uses it to stand on while getting dressed) and just now on the bath matt.

DS has been in a funny mood all day and me and DH have been looking at each other and saying 'god he is in a mood' etc. Then he falls asleep on me on the sofa! Aha - tired. Just goes to show you never have a clue what you are doing as a parent.

Plum - hope you are feeling better

Ali - DS obsessed with hiding. Was hiding from me but kept shouting 'Mummy find Jac' so pretty easy to find

Morning all

JKS - good luck with the room move. Can always move back if doesn't work out.

This morning we had to bribe DS out of his night time nappy. He usually likes wearing his night time nappy at breakfast then gets dressed and into pants after (not ideal). He loves a routine and is very stubborn.

Today we decided to break the routine and he went mad. So we tried to suggest treats like trip to seaside, going on a train etc. or a present. He went for the present option which was a packet of chocolate stars wrapped up (left over from his birthday). Anyway he is out of his nappy earlier, has gone for a wee on the loo and now wants to go to the seaside [exasperated emoticon].

Luckily we are fairly close to a beach.

Hope everyone has a nice chilled day.

HalfMumHalfBiscuit · 06/09/2009 15:46

Plum - I was going to make a banana cake but don't have a loaf tin (doh). Wonder if it will work in a fruit cake tin?

Rest of jobs have lapsed I'm afraid. DS doesn't seem to want to play happily on his own so can't do any big jobs. Gawd knows how we are going to get sorted for the new baby .

Also I am in a terrible mood - keep snapping at DH / DS.

JKS - I think it's when autumn comes. We all subconcsiously get that 'back to school/new start' feeling and it makes you want to have a clear out.

Plum - excited for you about the cake stuff, you will have to show us what you buy!

HMHB - hopefully he does forget about the chocolate! Does he like lego? Can you give him one piece/section per day until he has enough to make the whole plane/house or whatever?

Peppa/Alice - see you back tomorrow

I have just thrown out and sorted through a load of things in my bedroom and cleared two stacking boxes to put away my summer clothes in. Also thrown some bras - got a couple of new ones today, 38G so what I have are no good anymore. I need to do a whole underwear clear out, but that will have to wait until later in the week while DS is napping.

We had a good time with SIL, which was nice, especially for DH, as things have been strained in the past. DS and his 'big cousin' a girl who is 6, had a mutual love in so that was fab!
I am feeling pretty positive today, going to do a big list of things that I need to tackle/organise/buy in the next month or so and start working my way through.

Mini-list for tonight
Finish unpacking
Give DS some tea
Tidy round downstairs
Put wraps to lanolise
DS bath and bed
Drink some wine
Shower and pamper
Sleep

oh Ali you are being good

I've got lunches made for tomorrow so I feel half organised just need to run iron over school uniform, although there are new things in wardrobes

ds has jammies on so off to do the girls and get them to bed

I folded all my towels and put them away and I forgot to tell you all..................................I have mastered the art of folding fitted sheets.............hehehe

I have to go pick up my cake decorating books from the main sorting office as the new postman didn't leave them at the gate[grrr] or with my neighbour

going to chat to my cake decorater friend to help me spend my money wisely,
she has already told me off saying I didn't charge enough for my cake..oops,
but I just thought since this will be my first one and 5th ever cake (decorated) I can't be charging a fortune,
its getting abit late and I still haven't made a start on any of dhs paperwork[bleugh] although he hasn't give me any job sheets yet so I'm off the hook on that one

OP posts:
Alibabaandthe40nappies · 06/09/2009 20:54

JKS I do feel much better than I have the last couple of weeks, maybe the drugs are working?

HMHB - meant to say, with the banana cake. A fruit cake tin will work, but you will need to make a double quantity and then cut it in half, otherwise it will be too shallow. I do that sometimes and then freeze half. You could also make the mixture and make it into muffins rather than a loaf, works well although you need to reduce the cooking time by about 30%.

Plum - share the secret of the sheets - please!!!

Mini-list for tonight
