Thanks ladies re hospitals. I think you are right, plus there is a lovely view of the mountains from the post delivery ward . I am going to do a bit of research and then go for it.

Ali - sorry to hear you were up in the night. There was a storm here which woke me up then I couldn't get comfortable again. Sounds like you are doing well today though!

Clairey - You were up too! Nothing worse than having to deal with sick when you are half asleep.

Jobs
Done a fair bit but house looks trashed will have to sort out another day.

Todo
Kitchen
Tidy lounge etc. etc.

Hello all

Not doing lists at the mo - will have lots of catching up to do on the weekend!

Doing ok, though we are all knackered. Lots of tests done, lots of chats with lots of doctors.

DS2 will have brain surgery in the near future.
He also has new drugs to try out as it turns out he was having Infantile Spasms which need diff drugs.

PIL should be bringing DS1 home tomorrow (sure they are knackered too lol!) then we'll have to try and get back into a routine.

Though we are back at GOS next week for follow-up appt to review new drugs.

I have skimmed through, ((hugs)) to all who need/want them, will be back on track soon.

Sorry for short post earlier. Fire fighting at work. Calmed down now.

JKS - I think we have all been quiet on the list front (esp me - guilty as charged). It's difficult when things are so manic. Hope things start calming down a bit for you and you have a good family weekend.

LOL peppa no I am just typing veerrrry slowly and carefully!

JKS sounds v v scary. Hope the new drugs work.

After saying I'donly done basic stuff yesterday I remembered that actually I'd spent the entire mornig rearranging dd's bedroom. Talk about brain like a sieve!

Not really in a list making mood today but have got a few bits done, have even cleaned the bathroom.

claireybee · 04/09/2009 11:46

Ali ds woke lots last night and it felt freezing in his room when I went in. Is it vest and socks time already??

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 04/09/2009 12:43

DS was wearing wool shorties and a t-shirt and then had his duvet and was fine like that. When it gets colder I'll get him some sleepsuits, probably in the biggest size they do to accomadate his wooly bottom!!

PlumBumMum · 04/09/2009 13:11

Hugs JKS

Well we went to hosp today and doctor is not sending dd1 for new glasses for another 2 weeks, but she was having a few headaches, so he told me to bring her to the opticions and get them to take the lense out,

so I said take it out and get a blank one in, he said yeap or get them just to take that one out

So I went to the opticions, £24 for blank lense because no script, so now dh is raging at doc for not giving me a script and me paying the £24,
I thought as she was a child they would automatically do it,
ffs who would let their 8 year old walk about with no lense in her glasses
So dh wants me to ring doc and ask for prescription and get a refund,
he says he will ring but I'm afraid he might be rude,
because hes so annoyed at the thought of dd with no lense in, I'd rather just leave it don't know what to do???

OP posts:
Alibabaandthe40nappies · 04/09/2009 16:27

Oh Plum what a nightmare. I can understand DH being angry, but he shouldn't be angry with you - you were probably in a bit of a flap and you don't always think to question what people are asking you!
I would ring the Dr. I know there is a mechanism for claiming back prescription charges that you have paid if you shouldn't have, but I don't know about if you didn't have a script at all. Sorry that's not very helpful!

Well I have been really lazy this afternoon and sat and watched the cricket and played solitaire on my laptop. Must go and sort out some dinner.....

PlumBumMum · 04/09/2009 17:08

Oh Ali he's not angry at me, he just anoyed because I'd rather leave it,
he thinks sometimes I let people away with too much, which is true too an extent and if it was anyone else I would be telling them to ring the doctor and ask for the prescription,
but because I see this man practically everyweek I don't want to be seen as a nuisence, ifyswim, I know that sounds stupid but its just how I feel!

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 05/09/2009 11:18

Morning giraffes

Plum - fingers crossed it is only a cold. Alice I think had some RL stuff going on, not sure what. I remember CWWM saying that she was going to start lists again once the kids were back because it was just too much with them all underfoot during the holidays! Not sure about SB and CC - hope they are both ok!

I've had a bit of a blitz, amazing what you can get done when there is someone to keep the curious 13 month old out of your hair while you do it!!! And, shock horror, DH is upstairs clearing up and tidying all his computer/various other geeky crap that has been making my spare room untidy for the last 2 months and then he's going to hoover and dust in there. We might actually be able to invite someone to stay!

DONE
Tidy upstairs
Hoover upstairs
Dishwasher on
Sheets into machine
Towels into dryer
Fold clean washing

TO DO
Tidy kitchen
Dig out some warmer clothes for us all
Pack

JustKeepSwimming · 05/09/2009 11:20
