How do you get through to a 2 yr old that she cannot walk over the floors when they are so wet! It is spilling rain, nearly torrential and I have the heat on and windows and doors opened to try and dry the floors. They are nearly like glass, they have been wshed that much

Clairey - I often leave a basket of folded washing in the living room so that when DH comes home from work he thinks I've done something!

Gah I need to get off here and get a shower while DS is asleep otherwise we are never going to leave.

Breakfast x 3
Clear up kitchen
First load of washing on
Tidy round upstairs

Sort out bookcase in my room
Tidy round in living room
Ironing!!!
Lunch x 3
One more load of normal washing
First load into dryer
Wash nappies
First load folded
Second load into dryer
Unload dishwasher
Freeze any meat which will go over date while we are away
More ironing
Book Ocado delivery for Monday morning
Get bags out for packing
Water plants

TO DO
Menu plan for next week
Shower and get dressed properly
Make self look nice - started
Pack
Go to Sainsbury's if time so I can buy butter to make a cake to take with us - not going to happen, what the hell was I thinking??

Hello all, missed my chance to post a list earlier so will just do a done & what's left list.

Clairey - ds1 seems fine today, went to nursery no probs and they reassured me that Sine Flu really does have a proper high temp not just slightly raised.
Ds2 OTOH - nursery rang me to say he was having really deep head nods this morning - not much i could do tbh, just told them to let him sleep as long as poss, so think he had about 3hrs, then had a late lunch. had more deep nods this evening so went to bed early. no sign of new drugs doing anything yet

DONE:

  • all up & dressed )DS1 up on the dot of 6, pleased as punch about his new digital clock we bought yesterday!)
  • breakfast
  • pack nursery bags
  • DH take boys to nursery
  • DH & I to work (extra day for me)
  • busy day at work
  • collect boys
  • ds2 to bed early
  • walk to corner shop with ds1

Left To Do:
  • ds1 to bed
  • our dinner
  • early night!

Ongoing:
  • contact handyman (sort list)
  • get photos of family & hang them up
  • buy some cheap photo albums
  • find correct sized refills for filofax pen - maybe buy a new one - can't find one i like!
  • get on with friend's family tree
  • transfer all family trees over to Mac software
  • then go through 1911 census (again)
  • write in DS2's book for 18mo entry
  • try again to see if i can get the DVD player working
  • if not, buy new (cheap) DVD player

And hand tingling/going numb arms and face, was really scary. Symptoms started so suddenly on Monday night was absolutely fine Monday day time!

Plum that cake is fantastic!!!!

What a stunning cake!

Well I've come down with whatever dh has had all week. Feel weak & fluey, headache but no temp so think we're ok really although my sis has swine flu so will have to keep an eye on the girls esp as Alice has asthma.

So currently I'm in bed watching corrie repeats. I'm leaving dh to the housework today

Aww Peppa - they do grow so quickly.

Plum - your DH is right, you could easily get paid to make castle cakes - sure you can transfer your skills to other designs too
Anything being wrong with our DCs is a worry, i just find that i'm continually worrying about ds2 at the mo, it's almost like there's a cloud following me around

Giraffes - that sounds bad. glad you are starting to recover. ds1 hasn't been anywhere near that so guess he just has a normal sniffle.
