Been AWOL for a few days - hope everyone is ok.

No list as such today. Tis DH's birthday and he has invited the world round for the evening (which doesn't desperately bother me as they are used to our filth). I on the other hand invited Frizbe and her family round too... so now on a frantic bathroom/kitchen hygiene-ating experience, plus trying to get kids room and dining room vaguely presentable.

Feeling very guilty that DH is spending his birthday cleaning.

DS being a nightmare - undoing as much good as we do (he poured the sugar out the cat flap ffs!)

Hi all hope your bank holidays are going well.

We are back early from visiting my bro and meeting up with my Dad as I predicted. The details are on our rant chat page here

Frightening things

  1. DS at school next week 2 days only at the moment - eek. He is only 3 - its a welsh thing.
  2. Only 1 month left at work for me (5 days hols to use up too).

Anyway on with the days jobs

    Jobs
    Unpack
    Online shop
    Meal plan for the week.
    Gestate - 33 weeks doing
    Take vitamins
Dishy to be emptied and refilled
    Breakfast cleared away
    Make lunch
    Chuck dead flowers
    General tidy up
    Dishy on
    Washing
    Filing
    Make tea
    Bath DS
    DS to bed

    Also
Make sure DS has what he needs for school

    Before October
Clear out freezer and fill with delicious ready meals
Buy lots of 'healthy' snack type stuff to eat on the run
    Cancel childcare vouchers DH doing
Get out all baby stuff and clean / buy new stuff if necessary
    Get a Wii fit
Get subscription to Grazia to keep me sane
Get some DVD's to watch whilst breastfeeding

Any ideas on how to keep me sane once DC2 arrives most welcome.

Flamesparrow · 31/08/2009 11:44

Wii fit can wait til November....

Sanity-wise. I found DS was a dream as a newborn. I was doing flylady and it was actually working. He would wake, feed, then snuggle down for another few hours day or night

I had been so determined to get all sorted beforehand, that when he came it was a bit of a case of "ooh, its done and now I can be all perfect mothery".

Obv not the case now but it was a fine few months

Hope you enjoy your day Flame, Whos Frizbe? another mumsnetter?

Right really haven't got much done

dh has been in trying to organise ourselves for next couple of months, loads to do and no very little funds to do it with

Fed up with our bedroom, when we first moved in we shoved up 2 curtains to make do, until we got organised, they are still there

Are room is freezing radiator is not big enough for size of room, and there is a really strange paint effect on the wall, looks like someone tried to steam the paint off so 2 different colours of turquoise,
so really want it painted and curtain poles and curtains,
so I don't think that will cost too much,
plus we need a couple of new radiators and the system cleaned out
the list goes on......

but for today
decide on dinner
mop kitchen floor
dry washing
clean & tidy work tops
clean bathroom
clean ensuite
sort & put away washing
iron
make pack lunches for tomorrow
shower dcs
make sure uniforms/schoolbags are ready
hoover

DONE
brush kitchen floor
lunch
load dishwasher

Flame

JKS - good luck with the hospital.

Awful weekend, the row with my brother and his DP has escalated to new heights, really beginning to wonder if there is a way back from it all . I had a hideous outburst, am going to see my GP on Wednesday as clearly the pills aren't working - I think I need counselling. I may post about it on the chat thread or I may not, very very upset and exhausted with it all.

However, the world goes on and I've got a friend coming for lunch tomorrow. She is lovely so I will have a good weep on her shoulder I think and drink about a gallon of tea.

Tuesday
Up, showered and dressed
DS boobed, changed and dressed
Nappies into dryer
Another wash on
Breakfast x 3
Clear up
Unload dishwasher
Clean kitchen
Empty bins
Tidy living and dining room
Sort car tax
Wipe over bathroom
Tidy round upstairs
Lunch and relax
Dinner - ??
